Waiting for your investment to mature so that you can cashout some profit might be pain for few gamblers so they will keep gambling rather than invest in ICO. We have to wait atleasts 6 month to get maximum out of ICO if it will be one of the successful project but if you will invest in some scam coins than you can also loss all of your investment.

Investing is indeed actually starting to look like gambling, but I don't really think it's a good replacement for it.
It's just not the same, you don't see the results as fast. If anything, it's comparable to sports betting, profit or losses can be made in about the same timeframe.
Do note that most of these outlandish profits are purely driven by speculation, so the risks are also quite similar to gambling.
Since it's hard to define its outcome, then there is still some approach of gambling in it. Having investment is a good move when the company is reliable and we do know that they're project have really a potential. Since they're too many investments we can do, we should really think where to stake our bet. It's just not the same, you don't see the results as fast. If anything, it's comparable to sports betting, profit or losses can be made in about the same timeframe.

The point is:
You are 'guaranteed' to make more coins with investing in a coin...than actually gambling with that same amount.

Who provides/offers this guarantee? If investing in a coin is guaranteed then all people will invest all their money on it, there is no guarantees at all. There is always a risk of losing money when you invest your money in a coin.
PS: Aslo ignore this if you are a whale and can afford both, anyways
Who can afford both things are not always whales, I'm not a whale but I always use my money that I can afford to lose in both investing and gambling. It is just about preferences, we should not force ourselves if we do not know what is the risk on both activity.

But for any other reason like doubling, trippling...or even 10x winning back your investment/stake...why would you still want to gamble that?
The chances/odds are bigger that you will loose them gambling...while the chances/odds are the same (probably bigger) that you would increase them while investing.

Gambling on casinos has given users a completely different experience over just investing in something and waiting for the money to grow. You might say that the house always wins but there are those who have made even x100 on a single roll and instantly cashed out. Yeah it might be all luck but still a huge win.
Besides that, Investing in casino need a lot of time and analysis compared to gambling in the casino. Casino gambling is a fast phase game that's why many gamblers still choose Casino because it is a source of entertainment and not only for profit. Anyway, Investing is just a theoretical gambling but it is not the word gambling that OP is describing. He is comparing two completely different matter at the time.

Investing in an ICO or coin could be termed as a longer term bet compared to casino betting. The part where you say it is guaranteed to make more coins is absolutely rubbish as ICOs and coins have sometimes dropped to being worthless while some have been exposed to be blatant scams.
Even a good looking, highly potential ICOs are finding it hard to keep up with the current downtrend of the market and investing here is a bigger gamble than gambling on a casino game.

I do both, I’ve been HODLING my stash of bitcoin offline for nearly 4 years. I like to gamble but it’s just for fun, I’ll never get rich from gambling.
If your holding bitcoins from last four years then you should have made a lot of money by now with your investment already.
Others still play because they got hooked with the thought of winning easy money. Instant money depending on their luck =). Others, who really doesn't know what to trade instead they replace it with gambling.
If you don't know what you trade then just buy some popular coins and hold them for long instead of going for gambling to lose all your money. I don't recommend gambling for making money except for fun purpose.

my reason to still gamble with cryptocurrency is that I can directly send the coin into gambling site and start to play especially I use dogecoin which the price is cheap and cheap for the fee. and yes, I make my own investment with cryptocurrency too and until now, I can take some nice profit from that.
for me, gambling is a place to get fun and enjoy the game while we can meet new people and have discussed everything. we can meet people from other country and talk each other. it has been a while for me to have fun in gambling site and I know I cannot get any money on that site unless I can have my luck is work.

That is a very good point, but gambling gives a different kind of excitement, investing maybe can double your money but it need time to see the result, in gambling you can double your money in a split second, and I enjoyed see how I can control my money, in investing I just sit down idle and watching my money being used
It's because gambling is a real game which you play, while investments are a deal, there isn't action there. It's like putting money on your saving account at the bank, there isn't any fun on this... At same time people who gamble exclusively for money profit are mistaken, that isn't a money maker method, it's a game to have fun and to try the luck and if everything goes well, then you receive some profit.
The typical gambler profile is different from the investor profile. Gamblers who play for real already have money, while investors are trying to earn money, because they probably don't have sufficient of this to accomplish their goals in life.

Trading or investing in a way is a gamble but playing in casinos gives you a different feeling, it's fun!
Investing is boring as you will just wait for the prices to go up, i invest because of the passive income, I gamble because it is thrilling and fun.

More like a gamble gives you an instant gratification while an investment can take days, weeks or even years to bear fruit.
Even sports betting gives you a result very quickly.

Agree with your point of view, I like gambling because it's a good way to relax and make some money with a bit of luck. But I would not trade with the money I won, because HODL is the best strategy for me)

You cant stop people on doing gambling because its their money after all and its none of our business if he would like to waste up his money on playing gambling than on thinking on investing it on buying coins instead. This is case to case basis because people do have different financial capability which means people do have the money can entirely done both things without any doubt on which way he would choose up.

People do gambling not just because they want to have a one time big time prize some are doing it as a sort of stress reliever or to have some thrill and fun which I think they cannot get by investing on an ICO or alt coin then doing nothing other than waiting till the price pump. Gambling can help a person to release any tension he/she has also the chance of becomming a millionaire in an instant is obe of their reason.

You are not 'guaranteed' anything either way. I would rather bet on something that is fun to watch and would give a profit or a loss in 1-2 hour time than bet on something that would continue for months on end with a dubious outcome. The bubble could pop overnight and you will lose more if not all of your investment. Only play with money you are comfortable losing.

Well, as i realize about gambling then gambling is good if you think that it is a fun place, but if you think that it is investment then gambling never give you profit. So play gambling only for fun and thrill, then 100% gambling suit you, becasue i play gambling and i only play gambling with bitcoin, i don't like to play gambling with other coins, it give more thrill if you win bet in bitcoin definitely you fun and money will be double, triple and more than it.

some people might says investment equal to gamble because percentages to losing your money is pretty high and the profit also deserve such as the risk but gambling is personal and some people don't like to putting their money at investment and more likely to play gambling games and stick to their hobbies without any interest to trying the new things

Your point here is well explained and I get what you're trying to say here. Veteran traders will always say that investing is somehow a more educational type of gambling but is still within the realm of it. The risk is still high but not as high as gambling all your money with win or lose condition. The problem with gamblers (addicted ones) is that they tend to still choose the normal way of doing it (in casinos, online ones, etc). They want the thrill that is always present and readily felt when gambling in a casino. They seek the thrill and excitement that it brought to them even if they are losing money everytime that they do it.
