If i had a capital like that i would have been planning to do some business in practical world than bringing it to internet world, it is not because i don't believe bitcoin but because i feel it can be better for me to start a real life business if i have an amount that can make it possible for me to start any kind of a business around.

Indeed the real world investing is something safer and more promising than have to make investments in a world full of uncertainty. However it is very likely succeeded at bitcoin, because I see the future of the bitcoin is very special. You could try business online store, or do the mining

It would be way safer to have a business in practical world than having it online but still if someone wants to do it he could possible create some casino or exchange website which are almost most running websites these days around bitcoin.

If we are talking about bitcoin in casinos that would be nice idea but if in real world it is not really worth to try. Also in Online selling or online shop that is also nice right now which is you have a both payment method on bitcoin and your own fiat. Just make it cool so that it will click

I do not think that what you are saying is true.  I do not know how did your friend acquire that $2M and he do not know how to invest it?  People who are rich do know how to make more money than all of us.  They are good in financial analysis and strategies.  If he have those huge amount of money he will not ask someone how to gain more through bitcoin.  I mean he will be using bitcoin to earn more but I think he will read more and search things connected to bitcoin by himself.  He knows exactly what to do and will not accept someone else's opinions since he had make or have that $2M.  He may go directly to companies who were into mining or investing.  And if he have $2M maybe he is more and far richer than those mining/investing sites around the net.

You are right, but have you also considered that maybe this person is yeah sure an established entrepreneur  but does not have an idea on a crypto currency industry. Well yeah who knows let them build this farming platform first then let them to be judged then

Mining is not a thing for beginners anymore IMO, the only ones making profit from it right now are huge businesses mining with a massive force and mining "farms", I don't think it's something for beginners anymore, Also investing this sum in something not well researched about is not a good investing strategy at all.

First of all, I really do not think that op has a friend with 2Million to invest.
This amount I would only invest into a mining farm if I am already a pro regardingof bitcoin.
Clearly op is not, otherwise he would not have to ask such basic questions with so few informations about the project.
If there really were 2 millions in the game I would strongly advise to invest it elsewhere, stock market maybe.

You got 2.000.000$ and you want to take advice from the bitcointalk forum members? You better go visit goldman sachs or M. Linch instead. They will make you richer than ever, forever.

Exactly that!
Or even if you wanna get deep in to crypto, turn them all to bitcoin and start trading! mining these days isnt that much profitable and at the end you will end up with a banch of old asic miners with no use or cost to resell them..
You gonna love trading trust me!

With that amount of money, you should be starting your own company not invest into other's, or in a high risk medium like BTCBTCBTC

I agree that it is better if you want to invest in bitcoin to, start a company, hired people and offer  services, accept bitcoin and use bitcoin as mode ofpayment for your employee, that way you invest in bitcoin  by converting  your money to bitcoin and get profit from those working employees that is paid in bitcoin.

Use Coinbase Account almosanywhere with Shift card
I suggest you look into investing in BTC ATMs. You make profit on Fees to use ATM. Users now have a place to Buy BTC or cash out some BTC to shop at nearby locations that don't yet take BTC.

If placed near international travel locations used can use it to convert to local currency with out having to carry cash across boarders.

that is infact a good advice,if you are planning to invest in the companies dealing with crypto currency it is a high risk factor ,you never know what will happen to the companies you invested, two million is a very huge amount to invest so it is better to take some financial advisors help before investing, that is my advice to you.

2 Million of Dollars is huge amount... I like mining. but if I had 2 million $$. I would build my own crypto currency. this is my old dream to make my old crypto currency and get a good value for that.
I don't know you like this or not but I would suggest you to consider this thing also.
altcoin crypto currencies are doing huge business nowadays.

The investment is not recommended. At least not this much amount. However, if you have a lot more money and it is just a fraction of your welth, then you can certainly do that but if it is all you have, then please refrain yourself from buying bitcoin with the total amount.

Because bitcoin price is very dynamic and it can go to any direction any time. Also to get a good return, you have to wait for another 5-7 years. If you are thinking of quick income, then invest in some regulated mutual fund or equity market with professional guidance.

IMO it's still too early for you to invest something like this or close to it in BTC specially since your friend is still new to bitcoin, mining is not as profitable as it used to be and is relatively tricky to get any interest out of it in the current time, maybe spending 10k or so in buying BTC but nothing more than that IMO.

From 2014 bitcoin tripled it's price and in some good moments in 2016 it even costed five times more than in 2014. I think we can expect something similar in 2018. Cause bitcoin is showing good dynamic to rise.

Deposit it now in your wallet and you will have way more by the next year. I have no idea what to suggest you except finding an expert. We may be good at ideas or advices but we're not experts and our idea may or may not be profitable for you. If you really have two million bucks, you should make a business out of it. With only $5k, you can create your own Bitcoin casino. Or what about a physical Bitcoin casino? Where we can go and authenticate with our wallets, deposit on some machines and play there. It would be the first one.

Well 2,000,000 million dollars is not a joke amount actually, if you are asking for what you are going to do with it, I think the best thing you can to it is , you need to invest it in the bitcoin mining company. Or you may ask in the bitcoin expert about your investment.

If you own $100M, investing $2M in bitcoin is a good investment.
If it is all you own, it is a dumb choice.

I have trouble believing that someone who's gained that much money would be asking random people who generally haven't for advice. That said, on the off chance this is the result of some windfall or something, my best advice would be to invest in your own bitcoin business/project, or in someone else's bitcoin business/project that you believe in.  I didn't bother reading other people's posts, but I'm sure any legitimate advice above would likely boil down to at least one of those two categories.
