I have a question regarding string to trytes conversion. Either I have a mistake or the Python library provided by IOTA has a bug. I suspect the first applies.
I want to calculate the trytes of string "IOTA" and used
iota.lib.py library to do it programmatically. I received
SBYBCCKB.
Then I did it manually. First I take the ASCII numbers of the letters.
I = 73
O = 79
T = 84
A = 65
Then I apply the trinary based mathmatic formula to meet the numbers
I = 73 = (1*3
0)+(0*3
1)+(-1*3
2)+(0*3
3)+(1*3
4)+(0*3
5)
Thus trytes are
1 0 -1 0 1 0. According to the IOTA alphabet it is
SCO = 79 = (1*3
0)+(-1*3
1)+(0*3
2)+(0*3
3)+(1*3
4)+(0*3
5)
Thus trytes are
1 -1 0 0 1 0. According to the IOTA alphabet it is
YCT = 84 = (0*3
0)+(1*3
1)+(0*3
2)+(0*3
3)+(1*3
4)+(0*3
5)
Thus trytes are
0 1 0 0 1 0. According to the IOTA alphabet it is
CCA = 65 = (-1*3
0)+(1*3

Thus trytes are
-1 1 1 -1 1 0. According to the IOTA alphabet it is
KBHence my calculation gives
SCYCCCKB whereas the python library gives
SBYBCCKB (red colored parts differ)To complete the information I use the IOTA alphabet which starts

...
Where is the mistake, or is it just an error of reasoning?
