I got a onetouch idol x+

It has better specs and is sold at one third of the price of the iphone 6.

It is a great phone but not as good as the Iphone6, maybe 80% as good so it is a good deal

We still can't find them for a reasonable price to resell.. Apple launches are crazy!

We just got the Sony Xperia Z3 and Z3C which blows the iPhone away anyway in my opinion.

In your opinion yes, the Sony is better. But using benchmarks and actually testing, no, not even close to being better.

It all comes down to opinions..

Benefits of the Sony
Significantly better camera.
Significantly better battery life.
Significantly better audio.
Significantly more RAM.
Arguably better screen.
SD card slot.

Benefits of the iPhone
You can tell everyone you bought the new iPhone (omg!!1)

It's too big. They should have made a iPhone 6 Minus or something! But I guess that's what the people want, don't they? At least everyone over at Samsung wants phones to be bigger and being almost unfeasible to use.

IPhone 10 is expected to be a lot larger!

It's funny that Android people made fun of the iPhone 5 being taller. It was the first iPhone to have a differently sized screen, yet effectively every Android phone has some weird resolution... But well...

What I don't understand is why Apple is just trying to appease its existing customer base instead of trying to come out with new ideas to try and steal android/windows customers?

They should be trying to one-up everyone else with neat new (or highly sought after) features.

How about Anything new like:

1. Water Proof
2. Curved Screens (like this---> http://cdn.gottabemobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Curved-iPhone-6.jpg)
3. IR Blaster (remote control your stuff)
4. 4GB or more (More Memory than Android Phones)
5. SD Card Expansion
6. Infrared Camera
7. TV Receiver
8. Radio Receiver
9. Wireless Charging
10. Pico Wall Projector
11. Two-Sided screens (Front & Back)
12. Up-gradable (Memory or camera modules)
13. Virtual Keyboard (Pic Link)
14. Sapphire Glass (What every happened to this rumor)
15. Longer Battery Life
16. Night Vision
17. DVR with tv cast
18. IPS (Indoor Positioning)
19. 5G
20. LED laser pointer

I am probably just skimming the surface of what they could have potentially added to make android users "take a second look".  Not all of these are in demand, but it might set them apart from the other phone providers.  What feature(s) would you like to see come to next-gen cell phones?

New innovation comes at a cost. Wether it be more expensive or take away from the user experience. Adding a lot of those features would take a toll on battery life or data usage. I would rather have a perfectly functioning phone that lasts all day without charging instead of a few bells and whistles that I would use once and then become bloatware.

I don't need an IR blaster because my iPhone is already my remote because I watch tv on my 4K connected to my Mac. I don't need a curved screen because then that would make the phone thicker in my pocket. I don't need an SD card because I have the cloud and I'm never in an area without service. I don't need a two sided screen because I can only see one at a time anyway. I already have great battery life so you can cross that out on the list. I don't need DVR because I already have one on the TV and I can watch them on my phone using plex. I don't need 5G because Verizon LTE on iPhones get about 100mb/s, faster than 99% of ISPs. The only thing I would ask for is waterproofing but nobody has figured out a way to do this and the speakers sound good.

lets poke holes in all that Cheesy

1. Water Proof  --- probably patented by LG
2. Curved Screens (like this---> http://cdn.gottabemobile.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Curved-iPhone-6.jpg) --- probably patented by LG
3. IR Blaster (remote control your stuff) (tried and failed a few generations ago with a few manufacturers
4. 4GB or more (More Memory than Android Phones) --- memory costs more and apple are all about cheap shit phone with maximum price
5. SD Card Expansion --- again costs money
6. Infrared Camera --- range issues for small devices and costs a very pretty penny for anything decent
7. TV Receiver --- they tried that along time ago without a external ariel the signals where that intermittent tv was unwatchable
8. Radio Receiver --- some android phones have this already
9. Wireless Charging --- good feature but patents stand in the way with 2 or 3 manufactures asking to much to use there tech
10. Pico Wall Projector --- i think nokia do this so theyll have patent's on it
11. Two-Sided screens (Front & Back) --- cost to much for the screens and it would use twice the battery power
12. Up-gradable (Memory or camera modules) --- there was a project that tried this where you built your own phone with "block" a bit like lego but never really took off
13. Virtual Keyboard (Pic Link) --- i like it but again theres a usb device for pc/laptops so i assume its patented
14. Sapphire Glass (What every happened to this rumor) --- not a clue what it is
15. Longer Battery Life --- price more battery life means a new material which is going to be alot more expensive
16. Night Vision --- very expensive cost double what an iphone costs
17. DVR with tv cast --- again signal issues
18. IPS (Indoor Positioning)
19. 5G --- only just got 4G there not going to be able to develop 5G for a few years there needs to be an industry standard remember how they fucked over the ipad with 4G and it only worked in America
20. LED laser pointer --- not really that useful

Is iphone 6 worth buying?
IMHO I'll say No.
It has nothing that makes it better then any other phone expect that "i' people pay for which makes it iPhone . Infact  you can get better devices at much lower prices.

Is iphone 6 worth buying?

If I had the money I would buy Samsung Note 4. What an IPhone wants to be when it grows up.
