I will make a interface for user to enter in their own api key from BTC Guild or Slush. If there are enough demand I can spend some more time on it to get a push notification feature on it to ring you whenever.

Could you add some of the others as well such as Deepbit and bitcoins.lc etc - I don't use BTC Guild or Slush so if thats all the app had it would be pointless for me.

Please get it to alert us via txt or popup message etc.

Are you using the latest iOS 5.0 dev? Would be cool to see the notifications pop up in that!

Let us know when you get it on the app store or if you need me to test it out (i'm jailbroken).  I was looking for something like this....actually it I was thinking more along the lines of something monitoring my system then if the miner disconnects, text me or email me, but this might work.

So that get's me thinking, how does this work?  How do you monitor the miners without something running on the computer?  Are you just making json calls to the pools and then figuring out it's disconnected and your phone pops up a message?

Yeah exactly, it will get the JSON object from the pool and parse it and check to see how long ago last share was given and determine if a worker has stopped. I just hard coded in the api string right now since only I'm using it. I will make a interface for user to enter in their own api key from BTC Guild or Slush. If there are enough demand I can spend some more time on it to get a push notification feature on it to ring you whenever.

You should be able to get it in the appstore. There are a few Bitcoin apps in there (although not doing what you are) but doesn't seem like you are breaking any Apple rules either way.

I'm jailbroken so doesn't matter either way but yeah would be a good idea, look forward to seeing it!

Hello,

I'm a noob that just got into mining when I saw the $30 bubble. I now have 4x5850, 2x5830, and 1x6870.

Last week I had lot of instances of idling miners for whatever reason(pool down? connection problems?). I'd often find my miner idled with no shares received for hours. I had to go disconnect/connect the miners or change pool to get them up and running again.

Because my miners was super unreliable, I wrote a quick iphone app that will ring me if any of my miner stops. Ironically couple days after I wrote the app, my miners are more stable now.

I'd like to share it with the community if anyone feel they can benefit from it. I don't think apple endorses Bitcoin so I doubt I'll be able to put it on the app store. But if anyone think they can make use of it, feel free to give me a shout and I can send you the source code.
