Btw. An iq-test measures the intrinsic abilities of your brain.
A proper iq test would be even solveable by people who neither can read nor do maths.

E.g. you could take some amazonian native who dont know anything about modern society and test them.

You dont need any language or math skills - it is not about knowledge, but about pattern recognition and logical thinking.

Also low iq people wont be able to be an einstein but high iq people have the chance to be an einstein.

This is more accurate in theory of how it's supposed to be. Though when I was a kid and a professional gave me an IQ test, there are parts that deal with general knowledge and how well the person has picked up on it. Things that you pick up in culture and society. Intelligent people are more curious than less intelligent people, so there are some general knowledge things that come across throughout life, but the less curious person will not pick up due to never concerning themselves with more than superficial simple things.

Usually there are numerous tests online !Most of them are fake and some of them maybe legit, the best way to come to conclusion is you can giving the test on multiple sites and see what they saw ,if the all under same digits then maybe thats your IQ or else I'll suggest you to take a test from a Uni or something .http://www.my-iq.net/ you can give this site a try and check what they say.As far as your score 137 is concerned Depending on which scale your intelligence was measured on, it means you're either gifted or very gifted.

But to be precise, certainly in terms of knowing what percentile you fall into, you need to be specific as to what scale your IQ was measured on.  There is a significant difference; for example:

A Stanford-Binet IQ of 137 represents a 98.96 percentile.
A Cattell IQ of 137 represents a 94.09 percentile.
A Wechsler (WAIS) IQ of 137 represents a 99.26 percentile.

No, online IQ test are not real, true IQ tests. Real IQ test have to be administered by professionals, and involve a lot more than trivia like questions and math problems.

That´s right. But people with high average iq should know how to use their available means (e.g google in this case). Just one of atleast 2 "discrepancies" in his post.

hey guys,

I am a pretty knowledgable guy on most topics, and I destroy people's dignity in trivia things.
However, I get meager grades (88-95).

However , I had ( Huh Grin) some friends who have been asking to see my IQ, so I decided to search up the IQ test thing online.
I clicked the first link, and I take the test, which had odd questions , but it was pretty simple/ easy.

after I was done, I saw my score.

it said 137.

I got a 137 out of however many on this test.

Can  someone explain what this means, I am guessing it is kinda high.
And is that a legit site/ is there better sites I should use?

Thanks!
Molotov!

I pray to god this is just a joke  Embarrassed  The bolded words (some examples), articulation + this post in general let me doubt..

Just take a IQ test on here http://www.my-iq.net/  and i find out my IQ is over 9000!!!!!!
Hahaha just kidding , only 83
This one may be quite accurate.
Its only in English and one or two questions are very native-English oriented.
So the score will be dependant of your language skill.
Even good/professional IQ tests shows how good person is in solving IQ tests
nothing more. In my opinion its just some psychological mumbo-jumbo like
Rorschach tests in the past with actual value close to zero.

I would be very interested in having my IQ tested again.  When I was younger they tested me at 163.  This was over 20 years ago and I would be very interested in seeing if I have developed more or regressed back to stupid!!

The only way to get a proper IQ score is to do a timed and supervised test provided by the real deal. Even then I don't think it means anything other than the ability pass IQ tests. I did a proper IQ test and scored 160. That should make me a world defining genius. In reality I'm just as lost and dim as everyone else.

Where can you even get a test done anyway? I'm fairly baffled by the whole thing but I wouldn't mind doing it just out of curiosity, I'm in the UK so I guess I'd have to just google for it, oh wait, nevermind, MENSA has a website.

It is better to take a test with a psychologist than an online test.

IQ Tests are not reliable indicators of intelligence as the tests will only work for certain types of thinking and cognitive ability, for instance, I'm shit at maths, I've been getting better and started to re-learn my stuff but if I take an IQ test on maths I'm going to get a very low score, if however I took one that wasn't based on mathematics at all I can get much higher.

I took a pattern based IQ test I found on the internet and got 101 points, I would have probably gotten much higher if I could focus better on it and not be so fucking bored but I hate tests, the thing to remember is that everybody has their own strengths and weaknesses and that is also affected by how their brains work so IQ points aren't really a genuine indicator of whether is actaully smart or not, you have to get them doing other stuff to find out for certain.

With tests if you can re-take them that's another example, so who's to say I couldn't just study mathematics a lot and get a really high IQ point? People rely on them far too much, as well as grading in general.

I just took it, I got 113 Smiley

So probably the other page was a sham, but I still did relatively well ..

So that means the top score is around 145?
