I prefer to sit in my gaming chair while staring at the computer screen to carry out analysis and determine the direction of my trading and investments. This is an important part for me to do and cannot be done too casually by lying on the sofa. I will focus more on the analysis that I do, but after the analysis is complete and I know where the market is going then I just need to set what price I should buy at and get out. Relaxing is not a problem, but being too relaxed will be a problem because we are not focused. The right standing desk for traders is sitting in a chair and staring at a computer screen with the main focus on analysis.

In the world of cryptocurrency trading, where every minute counts, the choice between a standing desk and a traditional chair can be a topic of hot debate. I've spent 15 years on trading floors, and I've experienced both sides of the spectrum. Standing desks have their perks, offering potential health benefits and increased alertness, which can be crucial for making quick decisions in the volatile crypto market.

But here's a question for you, fellow Bitcointalk traders: Does standing really help make better and faster decisions in the high-speed trading world? Have you tried it, and did it work for you? Or do you believe that the comfort of a super ergonomic chair is the key to staying sharp during those long trading hours? Let's dive into this discussion and share our insights on finding the perfect balance between health and productivity in the crypto trading world. Your experiences and opinions matter, so let's hear them!

I don't think these things you said here can do anything for a trader to get a profit in crypto trading. Because what is important to us as traders is that we must know and have a broad understanding of trading in this field of the crypto space. Whether sitting or standing, as long as you still know the strategy you are using in your daily trade, it is fine.

That's the important thing; the difficult thing is that we don't have enough knowledge in trading and we don't get profit from it. That's the problem when that happens, right?

You're absolutely right; in the context of one trade per day, the physical setup matters less than having a solid trading strategy and deep knowledge of the crypto market. Profitability hinges on your expertise and approach more than whether you're sitting or standing.

I trade while laying down on the bed or sitting down on a chair. I have never tried doing it standing up. But what I do I feel most comfortable while laying down on the bed. It is more comfortable for me and whenever I feel exhausted I just lay on my back and take some rest. You can call me lazy but I enjoy it.
But in terms of standing or sitting on a chair, I think standing will be good rather than sitting. On the long hours that I spend sitting, sometimes my body hurts in different places. And it's not about good chair or something, if you sit for a long time it will hurt. Keeping that in mind, given the choice I have between sitting and laying down, I prefer laying down on the bed. I have seen many interesting replies about standing and working. So I might give it a try in the future if I get a chance. Seems interesting.
Trading while laying down on the sofa while "watching" something is where I do most of my trading as well. It doesn't require this much professionalism like standing desk or something because we are not professional traders and it shouldn't be a big deal.

I think it is quite important to remember that the more we do it, the better we are going to get and we are going to have some sort of result that would be a bit harder. I know that it will not be all that simple, but if we could make it work somehow then it is going to end up being a greater return. I know that "having fun" is a very important part of trading, you can't just consider it like a job, I mean some people are actually professional traders, they could, but not us.

You raise a compelling point that trading for those who aren't professional traders can indeed be a more relaxed and less formal affair, often happening from the comfort of our sofas or even unconventional locations. The informality can add to the enjoyment of the process. However, when discussing trading as a job or a more serious endeavor, the choice between standing and sitting becomes a relevant consideration for optimizing focus and productivity. It's a balance between the relaxed enjoyment of trading and the demands of a more professional approach.

But here's a question for you, fellow Bitcointalk traders: Does standing really help make better and faster decisions in the high-speed trading world?
No. Standing there for me or was only health benefits. You can be standing and make terrible decisions if your focus for attention is divided.

Have you tried it, and did it work for you?
Yes I have. What worked for me was reduced back and joint pain. In addition more blood flow to my feets and less swelling of my veins. Nothing to do with my trading attention and focus.

Or do you believe that the comfort of a super ergonomic chair is the key to staying sharp during those long trading hours?
It plays a role but it is not the main thing. All these just enhance.the trading experience. This is my opinion. Some other person opinion may be different.

But if you are a healthy person, it will also help you to have more time to trade compared let's say you get sick and admitted to hospital, for sure you will take a break from trading.
Overall, it's like only for health, because for me, if you have good body, it will affect your psychological, you can do more work, you can think more, think better without having any sick.
For most people who do really believe that their health is just fine then most likely they would really be preferring on having those positions on which they would really be that comfortable even having those
standing position or having those standing desks has been introduced or really that been showcased but still it wont really be that enough on making someone do make out some immediate switch.
Not all people would really be liking on having that standing position on the time that you would really be making up trades. For sure we would really be finding a position on which we are really that comfortable
which it is most likely be lying on our own sofa or would really be just simply sitting with  your office desk and with our chair.

I dont know if there are really some scientific studies about having that good stimulation just because you are making some standing position. It cant really be denied though that
there might be people who do find it effective but there are also to those people who do sees for these things to be non relevant.

Whatever makes feel one comfortable is right choice. I understand it's for health purposes but if one doesn't feel comfortable with standing desk, it has no use from my point of view. You could do hour of exercise and use your normal sitting desk/chair.

standing desk is essential for your help, do yourself a favor from paying medical bill in the future because if you just keep sitting down its almost certain that it will causes problem in the future.
but the question is, are traders necessarily need to sit 24/7 while phones nowadays are powerful enough for trading activities, that's the thing.
by utilising phone we can get to move around and not just sitting risking our health.
from my experience using phone already suffice even in some scenario its even better user interface because nowadays many apps are optimized for mobile first.

I’m sure op already knows the right answer to this question and personally I don’t have any specific position for trading since I trade with my phone, I do my trades back then remotely which means I don’t pay a single attention to positions while then then but I thinking having a comfortable position just like that of a nice and comfy chair for trading is absolutely the best especially for those who have taken trading as a full time job because I don’t think it is medically or profitably wise to trade while standing, hence I would choose having a chair while trading is the best and mentally, standing while trading might cause mental unrest and might lead to hasty decisions while tradin which might lead to great a lot of losses if not blowing of accounts.

The first thing related to standing tables or sitting on the floor is about comfort itself. For some people, working by sitting in a chair will be much more effective and comfortable. However, on the other hand, there are also those who are more comfortable when sitting on the floor and using a table that is shorter. Once again, it really depends on each individual's comfort.

but when it's long term, I think sitting in a chair with a standing table will be much better. I have also worked sitting on the floor. And that makes me feel sore and tired more quickly. Meanwhile trading also requires higher focus. So I personally currently prefer to sit in a chair and work at a standing table rather than having to sit on the floor.

For sure majority of us would really be sticking into something which are comfortable, if there would be those people or traders who do find out that standing desks is something that make their thinking that more active or something that make them been able to think up well then you would really be preferring in doing so but just like on what you had mentioned on which there are really moments or times on which i do really have that laying down on bed and seeing my mobile phone in regarding about my trading positions or open orders on which trying to see whether it is really going according to plan or simply the market had fucked it up.

Standing desks is somewhat not all would really be that interested on doing so yet standing position might have those kind of health benefits but when it comes to comfort
then this is where people would really be choosing up because know that we can really be able to execute well and do make out some good actions on the time that we are really that
in our preferred position or really being simply that comfortable rather than on forcing up yourself into a position which you arent really that even that comfortable.

But here's a question for you, fellow Bitcointalk traders: Does standing really help make better and faster decisions in the high-speed trading world?

Honestly there's a whole lot of stuff that goes with a great trading session, good mental health, enough sleep/rest, no distractions etcetera and without any of this no matter how much you stand these could negatively affect your decision making !!!!

Besides if you going at chart's only for the high liquidity sessions ie the New York session or London session you might stand the session out but if you will be looking at the charts for several hours I don't think you will focus.

Have you tried it, and did it work for you?
Not a fan of standing as I know standing for too long puts pressure on your feet.

Or do you believe that the comfort of a super ergonomic chair is the key to staying sharp during those long trading hours?
Lol ergonomic chairs just give you a fancy experience and won't enhance your skills in any way, you don't believe me ask games who invest in these the most.

Standing desk is just a fancy product in my opinion while it offers extra convenience which may have health benefits but I am not going to accept that it will have any effect on the decisions you make related to your trading activities.

Over a period of time there will be a research paper will be there and prove scientifically that using some scandals can increase your concentration but it doesn't mean it is always right, the science can be highly manipulative and can be used in the way the company wants so none of it really matters behind your actual skills and knowledge.

I've tried both, setting up a standing desk costs more. But it is very convenient for analysis and trading. Now because most of my activities are outdoors, I am comfortable doing trades and analysis using a tablet. In my personal opinion, if we trade and analyze wherever we are, if we are able to analyze correctly, the results will be worth it.

Both of them do not affect trading directly, but rather on the trader’s decisions, which if they are affected by psychological factors such as trading after eating, or in the morning, or after the end of work, or before sleep, you need to control your emotions, as the greater the conviction that doing a certain psychological thing before trading means that you will make profits is a big mistake.
Well it might have an effect for others not all of us. Psychological effects may affect our decision making, it depends on how we frame it. I guess standing/sitting may affect you trading game, because if you think about it, sitting is where your body is relax so as your mind, so you are be more in a loosen state whereas standing, OP have a point, you  are more alert. I think this is the same as trading with a personal problem or do not have any. Although this may affect your trading style, or decision making in trading, it is just a little thing to discuss about and just do what you prefer and feel about with yourself.

Get a place with good lighting and a comfortable chair, and you can think about trading decisions while walking or running according to the way you find suitable for you to think and make appropriate trading decisions.
In short, trade in your calm state, this way your mind is more efficient in processing and analyzing information.

But here's a question for you, fellow Bitcointalk traders: Does standing really help make better and faster decisions in the high-speed trading world?
I think this all boils down to preferences, as well as how people take care of their physical health, such as getting a good amount of sleep and maintaining a proper diet, among other factors.

However, on a scientific note, there is research[1] that shows standing could affect a person's concentration because standing utilizes some parts of our brain instead of allocating them to more intensive tasks, such as trading, for example.

But if you have the budget and you think it's cool? Why not?

Yes i do agree with this but we cant really deny that nothing beats out if you do really have a good sit with your ergonomic chair rather than on keeping yourself that standing.Yes, it does really have that health benefit
and whatsoever things attached to it. So far i havent been able to experience on getting or having a standing desks on which in all of the years that i have spending on doing trading then i do really just prefer the traditional.
Active mind or being alert is really just that normal.I cant make out some comparison comparing when you are standing since i dont have that experience but if ever i do have some chance then i might be doing this
in our kitchen counter top or bar island counter with my laptop and sees if there would really be some significant difference but in my own views and perceptions then it wont really be that matter that much.

Also,we should really be that considering that not all would really be making some active or scalping trades with their trading sessions on which means that only a few would really be taking into this path and the rest would really be making some swing trades or making some long position on which it doesnt really involved too much seeing with their charts and make out some decisions in regarding on what they had positioned.
So this is situational or something that would really be  talking about preference. If you do find out that this kind of position does help you out then go ahead and stick with it but we know that
people would be sticking on something that they are comfortable with.  Smiley

Conducting trading basically requires a lot of time in a very quiet environment and if the environment in your home is nice, then you will enjoy mentally conducting the training and for this, you can get a long time and good success. Here the calm environment will make your trade more dynamic because when you conduct, the trade your attention will be on the trade and if the environment around you is full of chaos then you will not be able to concentrate well on the trade.
