Antillephone is not legit!

Multiple casinos claiming to operate under the 8048/JAZ license scammed me!

As you say crypto site, this license does not cover crypto currencies.
Yes many scammy offshore/crypto casinos are operating from Curacao with those dubious sub-licenses given to almost anyone without any control, that's why Curacao is ending this system and is replacing it with a new one with licenses now given directly by the curaçaoan gambling authorities, the Curaçao Gaming Control Board (aka GCB) that will become the Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) soon.

The government of Curacao is in the process of modernizing its gambling legislation to bring it in line with international standards and to adopt a responsible gaming policy that spans all gaming activities that are and will be licensed in the jurisdiction.

Based on this new legislation, the GCB will be converted into a new independent licensing and supervisory authority for all games of chance.

The first gaming sector to be legalized under this new law shall be remote gaming.

The current Curacao gambling regime is considered one of the most liberal in the world, with low costs, minimal requirements, and not much in the way of supervision or scrutiny. The changes put forward by the Curacao government include:

  • The establishment of the Curacao Gaming Authority to oversee all licensing and gaming operations;
  • The issuance of B2C licenses and B2B licenses for operators;
  • Licensing fees start at EUR 4000 for an application, EUR 12,000 a year once approved, and EUR 250 per month for each URL;
  • At least three employees were hired into key positions and located on the island;
  • Enhanced monitoring and anti-money laundering controls.

https://curacaogaming.info/news.html

This is good news. As I understand it, a lot of licenses are currently given out as sub-licenses and can be acquire with nothing more than money. It's about time that the gambling authority stepped in to invalidate past licenses and implement a better system. I hope that they don't just hand them out without strict oversight.

I wonder if this has been done on purpose to confuse people and to get them to believe that unlicensed casinos are actually operating under a valid Curacao license?

Did anyone contact the Curacao license board to see if this is a legit validator? I have also seen some casinos using some sort of sub-license agreement to operate several casinos under one license.  Roll Eyes

I was looking at some new casinos, and they have in the footer the Curacao Verification link which is:

https://validator.antillephone.com/validate?domain=solcasino.io&seal_id=3339d16b553866af527ca2120220de9b460a29ac211b9eb03ae19d9a5f1b2a895cede836bdc27f8a36a6ef426329ca41&stamp=966d40510f41e10e294ca5e2c8b45799

But here comes the thing... if we visit antillephone.com they don't have a site, and if we visit https://validator.antillephone.com it only says "Can't verify user".

Is not the first time i see that verification in gambling sites, but i want to know if they are legit. And if they are legit how do users contact them to get the verification to their crypto site?

The Curacao eGaming Authority is a well-known and legitimate regulatory body in the online gambling industry.
As for the Antillephone.com website, the website may have been taken down or is undergoing maintenance.

However, this does not necessarily mean that the Curacao eGaming Authority is not legitimate. Therefore, I think you must contact them again to readress your issue.

The mechanism of checking the Curacao license is not entirely clear, for example, if you go from the site sportsbet.io on the verification page by clicking on the license icon, you will see the original license and certificate data, but if the same link https://verification.curacao-egaming.com/validateview.aspx?domain=sportsbet.io just paste it into the address bar on a new page, then you will receive the Status : UNLICENSED message.

Here's what we see when we click through from the online casino website sportsbet.io

What happens if you just use the link https://verification.curacao-egaming.com/validateview.aspx?domain=sportsbet.io

However, on the dynamic search page https://www.curacao-egaming.com/public-and-players/authenticity license sportsbet.io it is defined as valid without problems.

All Curacao licenses are useless. Yes, on paper they are real licenses but gambling companies only take them because they are super cheap and the licensor don't ask much questions. If a player wants to submit a complaint to the Curacao licensor about a website, then the player will get no help at all. It's a complete scam.

Well, anyway, Curacao at least has a form to send a complaint about an online casino, which users can make, but here's how to make sure that the casino has a license with which there is a dispute, except for the certificate that it provides, it turns out that there is nothing else.
And I have long believed that such licenses from offshore jurisdictions, of course, are not a sufficient guarantee of the reliability and conscientious operation of the casino.
Some cunning businessmen from the gambling business organized such licensing, opened a company and figured out how they would check the reliability of the casino.  And they promoted this label throughout the gambling industry in the entire gambling world.  Of course, they are great that they came up with such a business.
But in reality, no one really understands how effective obtaining such a license is and what it really guarantees to players, real people, in case of disputable situations.

I think so too because casinos that have a license can say that they are legal and to be able to prove the authenticity of their casino.
If a casino uses a fake license it will be very worrying for the users in it because there could be acts of fraud and embezzlement of funds.
Let's think a little further that if a casino can falsify a license, it also means that it doesn't rule out the possibility that the casino will also take the same action, namely cheating and taking user's money that has been deposited with them.
Even though I don't really trust casinos without a license myself, I really would not trust even a casino that has faked a license. It's true what you said they should be marked with a negative trust.
Marked with negative trust or not, if they actually fake having a license, they will eventually be out of business as their gamblers start to realize that they are not actually licensed but they are faking having a real license. It's not an easy thing to hide such a big thing in times like today where even smaller news gets spread so fast.

Even if they don't take people's money by falsifying information or cheating, I wonder what they would do with KYC documents that they collect if they are actually not licensed and since an unlicensed casino doesn't really require verification, they probably will just resell the documents for money to a third-party.

I think is worst to have a fake license than to have no license... And those casinos with a fake license should be tagged with negative trust.

That was a nice research guys, thanks for your feedback, I suppose some casinos could use a fake license, but didn't think this could be a common practice in the crypto gambling environment.

I hope casino guru can add a section on their page that talks about legit licenses and fake ones, that would be nice for the gambling community.

Such a non-transparent gambling licensing system on the part of Cigacao and the lack of online verification of the availability of a license at an online casino ultimately plays against honest players and into the hands of scammers. For example, a license obtained on Man Island can be checked simply by going to the government's website, where all gambling companies and online casino sites are listed in the "License holders" section.

And if they are legit how do users contact them to get the verification to their crypto site?
I came across some information that surprised me. It appears that online casinos seeking eGaming licenses from various regulators, including Curacao, must contact a company called Certria for assistance. Upon further investigation, it seems that Certria serves as a middleman to help online casinos obtain their licenses from Curacao. This raises a question: does this mean that online casinos are unable to communicate directly with these regulators?

Additionally, based on @Hispo's reply, it's possible that Antillephone NV 8048/JAZ included Certria in the footer of their validator site for this reason.
In its services, Certria describes that they offer their clients online gambling licenses in these regions: Curaçao, the UK, Gibraltar, the Isle Man, Cyprus and Malta. So it's basically a service provider that helps businesses get licenses in different jurisdictions to operate their business.

Stake, the most famous crypto casino and sportsbook of the present, also used the services of Certria as it seems. You can find two logos in the footer at stake.com which are license validations, one is for Certria and the other one is for Antillephone. They probably are legit, otherwise a casino as big as Stake wouldn't be using them for their licensing needs.

So what is the conclusion?
The casino is using a fake license but the validator is not genuine either?

-snip-

I would not have guessed the Curacao authorities were actually planning to overhaul the gambling certification branch due to the amount of abuses some casinos can partake in. I mean, I kind of get why it is an attractive country to operate a casino from, but they should also keep an eye on the quality, hopefully they achieve it with this future Curacao Gaming Authority.

Yes its really bad to have a fake license and cheat the customers, but most of this SCAM casinos doesnt give so much attetion to this because they play the card of:

I scammed you 2000 usd, well yes, lets you initiate a judgment in Curacao, or whatever country you want. And you cant because you are gonna lose much money in lawyers than the money scameed by them. SO they keep making a mess with another name when the first name its so bad know.

An so the wheeling keeps ciclying, the only thing we can make its having a place like this to mark the scam sites and warn the people.

It seems your, have to be really careful and careful to contact a license based in Curacao, if you believe Antillephone is one of the official licenses in Curacao, I'm a little confused whether which one is official and which is not official.

I see there are several Fake Curacao license websites, like the quote below.
Quote
I've came across what I strongly suspect are fake Curacao licenses, hosted on websites that are meant to provide legitimacy to rogue casinos. For example, validator dot antillephones dot org is one such website, as it seems to only provide licenses to rogue casinos and the actual Antillephone NV website is at antillephone dot com. Another fake website is at validator dot curacao-e-gaming dot com, and validator dot e-gaminglicense dot com is another one, as is validator dot curacaogamings dot com. Validator-antillephone dot com, validator dot curacao-egaming dot eu and validator-curacao-gaming dot com are the incompetent versions of the fakes, as when you go on the three websites (without anything after the URL) they send you to a fake validation page for a casino (which is different for each of them) they're presumably linked to.

And elsewhere I also saw some Casinos with fake license
Quote
I frequently checking your site for new casinos and today I found an casino with fake license https://casino.guru/richprize-casino-review their license lead to https://validator.antillephone.org/validate/richprize.com-939f8429-325f-4ff1-b73e-e8868d12b9e4 while real Curaçao site is on .com domain https://validator.antillephone.com/. I pretty experienced gambler so I noticed it but others might not.

Some other gambling related sites states that this casino have real curaçao license. well this is just sad 🙁

From some of the information I see, you really have to find a casino that uses the official Antillephone license from curaçao, so you don't get fooled.

All your opinions seem to contradict that casino --you can even search for reviews and ratings of the casino or validator online. There are many websites and forums dedicated to online gambling that provide information and feedback from other players about their experiences with different online casinos and validators. Legitimate online casinos and validators should have clear terms and conditions, as well as secure payment methods and customer support channels and I think they have this.

For further knowledge about Curacao Antillephone (N.V. 8048/JAZ) --read these articles below.

Going through a brief investigation on internet I found this webpage:
https://antillephone.us/

<...>

Maybe you could try to verify the casino through the first webpage and see what happens?

When I try to request an Antillephone NV 8048/JAZ license from several casinos, I get one answer 'Operating status: INVALID', however, if you want to check the 1668/JAZ license issued to Curaçao eGaming, then you can try to do it by following the link https://www.curacao-egaming.com/public-and-players/authenticity or https://verification.curacao-egaming.com/validateview.aspx?domain =  (where after = you need to insert the domain you are interested in), but it is not always correct here outputs the result
