Speaking in percents, there are more people using money for than bitcoins. People will always use whatever they can for illegal activities. BTC should not be blamed for what people choose to do. Though that could attract unwanted government attention towards BTC and try to regulate it.
Yes some are using for illegal activities. This describes that only a very minimal number of users are getting involved in illegal activities. This number of the users can also be reduced if some initiatives or technology developments were made in bitcoin transactions.
Yes some bitcoins are used for illegal activity but the focus on banning or controlling should be on the items banned themselves not the payment method, Dollar is used by criminals as well and it is not banned.
but you know well that bitcoin do not have such trust as the dollar has. The dollar is nation-wide and important economic currency that has absolutely other destination, unlike the bitcoin. and according to well-known experience, the laws are the laws are not written until that time while splash precedents happen. yes you are right,bitcoin being used for illegal activity,but its not main reason why goverment must ban bitcoin,as we know,so many payment also used for same thing,and goverment not ban that payment/currency,illegal activity that use bitcoin just will make bitcoin have bad label or mark,and more people will afraid to use bitcoin. will this hurt bitcoin in the long run , will governments ban this just like they started to do wih paying in cash for some services

This is normal. And it will not hurt it. Actually I believe it helps Bitcoin on the long run.
If this surprises you, all (or most) currencies are used also for criminal activities.
The fact you hear about this in news, this helps. Because it's advertising. Because more people will hear about Bitcoin and more people will think it may help them in legal or illegal activities, more people will "give it a shot".
The aim of Bitcoin is to become a coin, i.e. be used by as many people as possible. (And secondarily, this will boost Bitcoin price too.)
We can think about it, we can talk about it. In my oppinion no one who is using Bitcoin for "illegal" activity will openly say this here

I think the biggest use for it is gambling and trading but the fact is we need to accept that btc is here to stay and what gave it its foot hold was the darknet. Good or bad it has helped it get where it is today. I am only here because of a documentary that was basically saying how bad it was because people was buying illegal things with it. So what? The world is not a hunky dory place and the little impact btc has on illegal is almost funny. Its tiny in the schemes of things isnt it? no, bitcoin is not used for any illegal activities.

YES, over 80% from BTC is dark market (ponzi, cloud mining, so called forex, drugs, guns, stolen credit cards/IDs, hackers are paid through Bitcoin). Even the most of the exchangers are part of the black market.
YES, those unlicensed exchangers like: Bitstamp, BTC CHina, OKcoin, Huobi, Kraken, BTC-e and many others are BLACK MARKET because they are doing illegal exchanges without being licensed for that.

Fact is bitcoin is in itself already really close to be illegal. Simply because most countries have no precise legislation concerning it. It's an hybrid currency, a strange thing when it come to legal considerations, and that no matter the country (though I believe USA is a bit ahead here)

It likely is, but so is almost every other country, I highly doubt the majority of Bitcoin transactions are due to illegal activities.

Yep, bitcoin is definitely used for illegal activities. But as Lauda and others have pointed out, cash has been used for these same purposes for centuries. Every dollar and cent in your pocket has probably been used to buy drugs or weapons and everything else at some point, so this is not an issue that really should affect bitcoin.

For the same reason it's a lot used in scams, it's probably used in weapons traffics and or prostituion/drugs.

To be honest there are other altcoins which provides much better anonymity than Bitcoin. Anonymity is not Bitcoin main feature.
Bitcoin main feature is decentralized public ledger which is just pseudoanonymous.

I mean you're saying not real anonymity, but you can't get tracked down through bitcoin unless you go through exchange and provide ID proofs!
But even then, you'd just have to provide falsificated proofs and get all the cash you want.
Bitcoin is far enough anonymous but also provides much more stability and value than any of those altcoins
