I hear it every time Bitcoin corrects strongly after bull run - that BTC is dying or will die soon. Actually, it was proved to be incorrect. Bitcoin is going up, consolidating and growing stronger every year.
Lightning network is very important update and more to come. Mining will become more efficient and cheap. Bitcoin is and will stay as store of value in digital age.

People think that bitcoin will die only because the price of bitcoin has fallen. This is because they have a bad mood and they think that bitcoin will soon die too. But as soon as the price of bitcoin starts to grow again - these people will again smile and scream that bitcoin is to the moon !)

Bitcoin will only die if no one using it but again its impossible not to use this amazing technology. A lot of people and big companies are now showing some interest to invest on bitcoin, so definitely bitcoin will stay here for good.

Bitcoin is the heart of cryptocurrency and the popularity has getting higher everyday and this could not be easy to knock it out from the cryptoworld. As a high value digital assets the price of this coin will surely increase in the coming years. Bitcoin is far from over. 
I do not think bitcoin will die next year. Why do you believe it will end next year. I see it grows very well. It is affecting and popular in many countries and attracts many investors. I think next year is a great year for it.

We don't know what will happen in the future. It may die or not but i do believe it might fall but never die. We encounter a lot of ups and down of bitcoin but it will not disappear hence it will rise up again and again.
I think we'll hear less about it in media but the people who are really interested in (like us) will keep bitcoin alive. We should fight for bitcoin and make our best for his future

Not totally sure bitcoin will die next year. It still depends on what happens, when other companies and people in the bitcoin have been hurt. It is possible to eliminate it and get rid of it. So let's defend and fight the bitcoin. Let's not let it go, we know that it's a huge help that contributes to our lives. It is very important for the part of human life. So hopefully it will not get lost quickly. It's not fair for people who have fought for so long. So do not forget bitcoin of ever losing it or not.

Which platform are you talking about specifically? We have thousands of altcoin already and most of them are terrible, to begin with. Would be ready to invest and trust in a project which is potentially premined (Dash), developers are collecting a tax fee from miners (ZCash) or else?
At least with bitcoin you are sure that it wasn't created just to make developers rich.

although many new platforms continue to compete with bitcoin, but demands on bitcoin still continue to exist, unlikely to die next year.

I don't think that you are even close to predicting that properly. Bitcoin is grand platform and there are no other platforms which are capable of destroying it up to the level that it will die next year. I think bitcoin will grow further and will become more advance as soon as people see it's underdeveloped platform. I'm pretty sure that other platforms have different purpose and bitcoin is master of all.
So it's worth keeping more faith into this platform and push it further for its market to grow higher and higher.

For me its very hard to happen if bitcoin will die because bitcoin now is developing a new currency and other country adopt this currency because its very high value and theres many investors use it because bitcoin is nice for investing.bitcoin is very useful and helpful in every people because in this currency will end our povirty and other people dont have a job because of unlucky setuation and try to invest a bitcoin and become a succeafull people so i think its very hard to dead this currency because of people using.

Bitcoin is not going to die. It has existed for 10 years now but only now started to develop more. It is just the beginning
Bitcoins is improving too you must not think that it's not and with so much public support and such a good secure network I don't think this is likely to happen.
The adoption of segWit addresses has made transactions so fast ! And that too with such a low fee .. I don't think we would see such kind of senario in the upcoming years.

I totally agree. It doesn't mean that altcoins have fast and advanced technology bitcoin doesn't. It doesn't mean that bitcoin have not improved over the last few years of existence, that would be too lame of an argument.
Altcoins are improving, but so is bitcoin.
So i don't believe that the scenario OP was expecting would materialize.

In my opinion, will more rising in next year. With limited supply and high demand on cryptomarket, I am sure that bitcoin will survive and more expensive. Many expert said that bitcoin will survive and price will more than $50k
