I think all uses internet has a risk of hacking. But you are the one who make it secure. You can put long password, capitalized number and symbol so that ther hacker can't hack in a few days and change your password every month for security purposes. Put your private key in a safe place not inside of your computer.

Now everyone is investing heavily on Bitcoin. But can anyone hack this Bitakayena? If Bitcoin means hacks, then there will be a lot of damage. Where is Bitcoin's hidden security?
Yes.  Bitcoin can be hacked. Few days back, a virus that hit all the computers almost hacked every system. At that time some of the bitcoin has also been hacked. Nothing is secure online. But the techies can do their best to keep bitcoin safe.

I will ignore you, if you don't provide a proof, that Bitcoin can be hacked.

Everything is hackable in crypto-world and nothing is totally secure, so you need to make it hard for the hackers by following proper safety measures.

I cant quite understand your question. Do you mean if a bitcoin is already in a wallet, can it be hacked? or you mean generate or get bitcoin out of the system to a personal account? if bitcoin is in a wallet then yes specially when your wallet is not well secured and is exposed to many unsecured sites and applications. Be sure to know some background to whatever site you are opening and registering you wallet for your safety.

It probably is. Since it is based on the internet, anyone who is knowledgeable when it comes to hacking can do it.

many now think that bitcoins will be hacked, and many who send viruses to their properties can change your bitcoin address when pasting your address in any transaction, that's what's going on.

REVOLUTIONIZING THE TRAVEL INDUSTRY

Bitcoin network core is impossible to hack although there's a small chance to hack but this is why the value is very high because although volatility is high but investors were making big money using blockchain technology.
Bitcoin is safe and needs verification across hundreds of thousands  multiple nodes over the computer networks.
If there's Bitcoin's hackable component is the wallet. The transaction is totally safe but your wallet isn't and be sure your wallet is secured otherwise hackers can take it and they're capable to transform your wallet into an empty basket.

OP. I am very sorry for all the Signature Spammers flooding your posting. Most of them have no idea how Bitcoin works and therefore their answers are complete rubbish. Bitcointalk.org used to be a place where people could find a lot of good information about Bitcoin, but it turned into a pure 'money making through mass posting' forum.

Back to topic: Bitcoin is not 'hackable', but your computer or the one of your favourite trading market might be.

Well, i think bitcoin is not hackable. But wallet is hackable. So you can lost your bitcoin if you put your key not safe.
So not bitcoin is hackable but wallet of bitcoin.
How can you be so sure, no system is safe, the Bitcoin network not gives us assurances, not the insured. Everything can happen.

Anything that can be access through online is hackable so it will be on your part to improved the security and precautions like putting 2fa mobile authentication of your bitcoin wallet to avoid being hacked. If you do not take good care of your wallet specially your private key there is a big chance that you will lose your coins.

Yes sir, you're definitely right about that. Nothing in the cryptoworld that can't be hacked by some hackers, but there are still some ways to prevent hacking though.

If I was running BTC-ORG I would have bumped BTC to SHA-512, or SHA-1024 a long time ago, and that CRYPTO will not be broken for many years to come.

you don't understand what SHA hashing is that is why you are not running bitcoin and have no affiliation with the development of it Wink
i you knew the basics you would have never doubted that SHA256 is going to be unbreakable for many many years and also SHA is not the main security related stuff that bitcoin uses, that is ECDSA...

guys, anything can be hacked. including bitcoin, but I know from some information that I can, that to hack the bitcoin is difficult. bitcoin parties will continue to make perfect security to keep from being hacked.
not just from bitcoin security and even hacking sometimes comes from us carelessly keeping a private key.

Cryptography is what is behind everything in bitcoin.

There is always a chance that someone can guess your passphrase or your private key. There are actually projects that are actively trying to do this called bitcoin colliders, however they have very rarely succeeded. And out of the few times they have succeeded some think that it's fraudulent.

With the right security measures, bitcoin is much more secure than traditinoal banking or credit cards.

Bitcoins can't be added to your account like in bank. You would have to modify all the nodes somehow. The only possibility is a majority of hashrate. It is called a 51% attack. It is possible, however it is too expensive to perform so it's not worth it. Bitcoin is safe in general, especially if you have control over your private keys (software or hardware wallet).

indeed to a security problem if we know and understand the technology surely will say that in general the bitcoin is very secure. Because it has a very system bitcoin complex and well enough to avoid the presence of hacking. But one thing can indeed give the worst thing for us is that when we can't control or securing the secret key from the wallet it is certain we will lose all of the funds.

Well the wallets are hackable and the blockchain is forkable.  The wallets can basically be hacked if we get reckless and somehow loose our private keys or we give it out to people unknowingly through social engineering or it gets stolen from us.
