Yes to what BTC achieved today i can say it is just the begining of what might have come to use,it is the start of the new payment system for our new generations the new era of the money/fiat system in the world,thus we are the most lucky persons to adopt its existence today.
I would not say it is the new currency yet. It is unusable because of high fees, it is so volatile that you never know in any given moment which value it has and it still has not a mass adoption nor legal status.
