Oh yeah I've seen the same too. Price of BTC is at 1,110 seconds ago, but then change to 1,189 then 1,127. I don't know either if its preev, maybe just a normal movement in BTC price? It keeps changing from time to time.

Maybe its because that bitcoin price always change time to time, nothing stable especially when it comes to price. I dont know also if there's preev, maybe that's bitcoin, the price of it always change. A friend of my mine experienced this kind of thing also, and so i must consider the things that are possible to change especially in price matters.

I experienced this thing yesterday and i thought i do only have this problem and i do really know its an error or bug on preev because sudden price jumps or movement on a matter of seconds are just too big to consider. It goes high and low which they differ on movement to $60-80 on just a blink which is unbelievable but now preev goes back to normal.

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
I have also experienced similar bugs in preev where price was fluctuating between $1100 to $1190 and i think it was just a bug in preev. Right now all looks good..
Yes you're right it seems preev works fine just from now and  also didn't see some strange fluctuation like what I just uploaded on youtube.

Just now i watched this video. I think its preev's error. Suddenly the price goes down and goes up. I think its better to hold not to sell our bitcoin. Because, it will come back to current price 1230+$ and also better to buy new coins for cheap rate, if possible.

I am not worried anymore now when i see the price losing 10 %. At first i was checking the price at regular interval, with always a tab with preev open in browser, i have goig deep to send myself an email 2-3 times per days lol... but i learned that with bitcoin if you go crazy checking like this you will get lot of headeaches daily....

There was some strange price fluctuation with just one or two useless exchanges upon which Preev's rate depends.

I wonder if Preev could get rid of the useless exchanges on which it depends, for me, average price of bitcoin at Poloniex, Bittrex & LocalBitcoins is fine.

I dunno. Isn't Preev just displaying the same price as Bitstamp? I always check both whenever
I need to and they always say the same.

Though Preev sometimes lags behind bitstamp for several seconds(sometimes it even needs to be refreshed just so it'd display correct data).

Or maybe Preev does have problems during volatile fluctuations(haven't really noticed since I don't monitor much during fluctuations  Grin).

Preev takes a weighted average of multiple exchanges. Exchanges with a high trade volume will affect the price more.

Preev use average price from 3 exchange (bitfinex, btc-e, bitstamp)(localbitcoin optional), if you choose the list of exchange on right top the site, the price looks right.

They just have a problem with other pair currency apart usd and euro.

I've just visited the preev to see how the price goes on but it goes crazy from 1130+ to 1190? What the hell is going on? Or its just the preev's error? Did some one noticed this also?

I just recorded those matter and upload it on youtube

I thought its actually from my end alone until I stumble on this thread. But I still dont believe its a mistake because we all know how erratic the price of bitcoin could be in a matter of minutes., what I will suggest is to get the quoted price of more exchange site in other to know an average and by so doing, one can make. Informed decision.

Yeah im also thinkung if its just a preeve's error.... Price goes up.... price goes down...., better to hold not to sell our bitcoin from now because im surely it will back to the current price at 1230+$ ,

It is just a fluctuation for me better to hold not to sell......

Also its better to buy now bitcoins at cheap price and sell it when price comebach at current
the current price was approximately $1171 and this is not error or something else because bitcoin price on the majority exchange has dropped but indeed not panic is good options because if we all panic and sell all our bitcoin i fear there will be huge dumped happening and the price would dropped again more than now

I'm a preev user and I also noticed this especially when there is big fluctuations with the price of BTC. I believe it averages the price of BTC from different sites that's why it seems very volatile on certain cases. My advice is to use another program to check your BTC price. One good site that I could recommend is bitcoinwisdom.com. There, you have the freedom to choose different exchanges and see their different price real time. It helped me this past days. Go try it out and see if this site will suit your need.

Preev.com has always higher price than almost all other exchanges. The bitcoin price is relative and has a lot of volatility but not as much as preev is reporting. Preev have big difference with all my price providers in the Electrum wallet as it is about 50-60 dollars more in price per bitcoin.Use another bitcoin price provider like kraken, coinbase, or bitstamp.

i don't know about preev.com but i only use bitcoinwisdom for my analysis and i think its works for me. i think as long as there is many support on bitcoin price, then i think the price is not going to anywhere and will be stay in that range. i think if the price is really down to far that i can imagine, then i will only hold it and not trying to sell because i think the market will be panic when they see the price is fallen. its better to still hold and save it in our wallet until we see the new price and i am sure that the new price will be more higher than before.

Yeah, the Bitcoin price seems to have dipped a little. I believe that Preev takes an average from multiple exchanges; if you click the cog in the top right corner you can select which exchange's price you wish to see.

That's because of the intentional manipulations by the binary option traders as they try to open or close their positions, did you know that wall street has 2 milliseconds advantage over the rest of the world in receiving the markets data? now imagine what profits you could earn if you could bet on the price and using bots you could open or close your positions faster than others Smiley.
Do they really get data from Bitcoin exchanges faster?

At least it did not fall below $1000, so far I'm satisfied with the price. Now for how long will the price stay that way? I do not know!

I'm confidently believing that the price is going to come back to $1,200.

Very good to have positive thinking

Preev is a great tool, but never use it as single absolute price indicator. Usually the price is spot on, but when there is high fluctuation going on it can go crazy at times.
If you are sending the money always make sure it's right amount by checking: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/
BTW don't rely on build in wallet price converters either, they can lag too.
