Is Bitcoin really secure?

Definitely and without a doubt, bitcoin is secure.

What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?

So far I haven't seen someone is able to hack blockchain, this is what makes bitcoin secure.

Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins?

To know more about bitcoin read here https://bitcoin.org/en/

Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market?

It's because it's a free open source and its feature is anonymity.

What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?

No they won't because there so many positive ways we can use with bitcoin.

I really appreciate if you  guys give me some answers

Your welcome.

If btc is easily attacked by hackers then I think you will not be able to write these lines right now. You should trust the security of the crypto wallets. The government's ban on btc I think will happen very low because btc is the future of the currency, of the transaction.

That is also one of my issue regarding bitcoin..I want to know the level of security our online wallet has because if we put all our earning into it how can we make sure that it would not be steel by hackers...as my way of putting some securities I decided to convert my bitcoin into fiat and put them in my bank account, I might lose the chances of additional earnings from investment but at least I make sure that my earnings will not be gone.
A Bank account is a bad idea to store money. You will never be able to earn the Bank as much as give profit growth of bitcoin prices. If you are afraid of hackers then keep your coins in different wallets and don't neglect security measures.

Hello pals,
Recently I introduced Bitcoin and cryptocurrency to my friends and family, they liked the concept but they asked me a question that I wasn't able to answer. Is Bitcoin really secure? What if a hacker was able to hack Bitcoin system/blockchain?Who manages Bitcoin security and what are the security measures taken to avoid hackers being able to steal Bitcoins? Why Bitcoin is not blocked for those who use it illegally by buying/selling in the deepweb market? What if governements ban Bitcoin because of these people?

yes bitcoin is really secure. if a hacker have high skills in many aspect like programmers, able to break the code, security, and the others and he is not alone, then maybe bitcoin can be able to hack. but so far, the system is secure and until now, no one can break the code. i believe that in out there, many people as volunteer will make sure that the system can works properly without any attackers that could break the system and they are in all over the world and not in just one place. i don't know about blocking p2p system because i am not too understand with this but as we know, once the transaction is made, no one will know for what the transaction for. maybe the government can blocked the connection to connect into bitcoin port but trust me, people will always search a new way to gets connect to the server again especially if that person/people is using bitcoin which is really worth.

i think yes bitcoin really secure as a currency using online wallet but all we need to be careful of the sucurity of the wallet key to prevent losses and using bitcoin as a currency is very secured and easy use for  the transactions only the owner of bitcoin wallet can see the amount of the wallet using the secured password.

Bitcoin is already proven to be safe, and its safety features include one of the hallmarks of bitcoin than gold. I think it depends on the user, dirty or not using bitcoin. average it's happened on peoples who carelessly do bitcoin transactions and not accuracy when transacting. And also use the site address wallet carelessly, use swallow wallet sites that have proven its superiority and more used by bitcoin users.

Of course bitcoin is secure, if it would not be secure it wouldn't have reach this far right? And as long as you know how to keep your private keys to your wallet I think it's safe to say it is very safe.

A lot of people are visual learners so watching a video like this can really help some people to see the incredible security behind private keys. This is my favorite video that I have seen so far and the host of the video does a great job really illustrating how incredibly ridiculously secure the private keys are.

Hopefully this complements the other great info that the other members posted.

Instead of asking that question here and get a lot of different answers that are sometimes wrong. Why not do some research your self. You can start by reading this https://bitcoin.org/en/developer-documentation

I know you will think that you already know all of that. But really, you do not. I too also go back to reading it.

Bitcoin < The Blockchain > is decentralized, so 1000's of computers globally are running the code and the "database" This means that a hacker must sneak in his malicious code into 1000's of computers worldwide and some of these computers are in very secure data centres. If this is detected, developers will act quickly and distribute "clean" replacements for the code. We have been around since 2009 and this has not happened once. < How many other software developers can claim that? >

Bitcoin do not distinguish between "good" and "bad" users, so they do not "block" anyone from accessing their network. < No central authority > and no government will be able to block it, because P2P software like this must be blocked globally for it to be shut down. < Somewhere in the world, it will not be banned >

I think bitcoin is very safe, as long as we ourselves are not careless. Do not ever spread the private key, create a security code where your bitcoin is stored, do not arbitrarily open unsafe links (maybe link phising). Then your bitcoin will be safe.

People often carelessly refer to such recommendations, therefore fall into the hands of scammers. And then they say that bitcoin is not safe. Everyone should take care of the safety of their coins himself

I don't know if guys above me had answered it but I just want to input my own words. Bitcoin's blockchain or the system itself is comprised of a lot of layers in terms of security which no computational prowess can hack it and it will be in a far future to build a supercomputer to overcome this though in the future the security would increase by multiple fold by then since Bitcoin is continuosly developing so basically it is impregnable.

If you are talking about wallet providers then it is exposed to risks if your private keys are exposed so you need to keep it in a secure place. In terms of hot wallet (web wallet), this might be the one who is on the lowest level in terms of security since you are not in control of your private keys.

For now bitcoin is really secure as long as you don't disclosed your password to anyone.and bitcoin itself has its own security features.it is impossible to hack because it has a special wallet to keep secure.
