Even if bitcoin does not become the only world currency, it will function on a par with the dollars, euros, etc., that are customary to us. A few years ago we could doubt whether bitcoin's success would be successful, but now it's obvious, too many people are involved in the field of crypto-currency, too many investors, and this is not the limit. Bitcoin will soon be very convenient in travel, for anonymous purchases, and it will not be anything surprising, but quite natural. I really look forward to it in my country.
For me money is here to stay. Bitcoin cannot replace it as the top means of payment since money can be used both offline and online, easily and instantly. Once bitcoin overcomes the cumbersome trx fees and late verifications then it might stand a chance.

Bitcoin is more than a future
I think it just always as alternative currency online or locally if the adoption will be the same as brazil that has 150 store or more are accepting bitcoins locally.. but future money it can not be use as main currency because government dont accept it because fiat is already controlled by them
Even though the future of bitcoin is stil unpredictable there are still possibility that bitcoin will become our future money where we can used in all kind of transactions especially on online transactions. Actually, Bitcoin has been approved as legit and legal cryptocurrency in many countries. I'm not believing that it wi be the future of money but i believing that it will be legal in all countries soon. We are needing the physical money or fiats because many people are not aware of this kind of crypto. Hence, Bitcoin is just a part of currency but never be a future of money.
Maybe it is just a form of money online but not realy a money fot the future because it is a digital currency that you need to convert in dollar or peso before you can use to buy or to pay! It is not tangible so even in the future it will remain a digital currency that has great value in online industry that makes the people invest thru it to gain money!

They save Bitcoin because they believe that Bitcoin will be an important factor for the world economy. Usually such people will not sell their Bitcoin, whatever happens. I think that may be true. But to be a world currency, I think it will be very difficult. That's because not all places in the world want and can use Bitcoin. There are still many places in different parts of the world that use Cash and Flat money.
