The problem is that the thought of humans to get in the best time or the so-called perfect time is not possible. There is always going to be speculation towards it, and hopefully, it would reap the rewards in the years to come. It's always lovely to do wishful thinking, but the best thing to do is act on it and do more deeds.

Continuously invest in something you believe in, and you will never know how much you can harvest in the long run.

Do DCA in timeframes you feel comfortable, I firmly believe BTC is here to stay and in long run you should be rewarded. Regarding secure wallet, go with hardware wallets such as ledger/trezor, there bunch other recently launched too.

I've been into bitcoin since it was worth around $3000. And guess what question I frequently see? "Am I too late to buy bitcoin?". From $3k, all the way up to current prices. And chances are, people are going to ask the same question at $100k and higher.

The real question you have to ask yourself is how much potential for growth you see in what you are buying.

Bitcoin has a lot of potential, it still hasn't been adopted more than 1 to 2% and there is a long way to go to reach mass adoption. And most importantly bitcoin is a useful currency that is offering a very unique utility (censorship resistance payment system). So it will continue to grow.

Comparing that with altcoins, I personally don't see any long term potential in any of the altcoins. Majority of them either have no new ideas or are seriously broken. That is why most of them are only alive to be pumped and dumped.

Hey guys I want to invest into a crypto and the one i see most about is bitcoin.
Most Altcoins have a very high volatility and in general, I'm also much more bullish for Bitcoin because so many shitcoins are completely overvalued and useless.
Hype (shitcoins) will fade, value (Bitcoin) will stay.

I've written an article (Is diversification into different coins really a good advice for Newbies?) about it but the recent bull market has shown some irrational results (useless Altcoins gaining much value)...  Cheesy

Some say its too late some say its not.
In the past, some people were sad about coins which were bought at 0.50$ and sold at 4$ but when writing that comment, they would have been 50$.  Cheesy Cheesy
Nobody knows if it's early or late but the fundamentals are very bullish:
- Bitcoin as digital gold (limited to 21M coins)
- censorship resistant
- Institutional investors gaining interest

There was this saying, or may I say proverb, in the Chinese culture[1] that could roughly be translated to:

I think that there is a really compelling and structured thread that you can read where you'll get a sense of all the type of wallets out there and the pros/cons of each one of them. You can go to that thread by clicking here
