I think so, because most of bitcoin users are gamblers to make big money that why i really think bitcoin can be the future online gambling. And there are so many bitcoin online gambling sites that you will see and there are many people who really use it everyday to earn money.
I think yes because as of now many bitcoin gambling sites are accepting bitcoin if you will look on this forum so I think yes, but In real world only fiat will be the only one because the value of it is not pumping and dumping.
I do believe on it also, we saw the vast increase of gambling sites and it is keep on ramping the industry. Why do you need approval from SEC to use bitcoins as a deposit method? You don't need it, btw. ETF is just a move to have bitcoins placed in the US stock exchange!
I checked 5dimes and bet365 does indeed have bitcoins as a way to deposit and play in their sports books. I guess erwin did not check this out. I don't think there is a regulation that disallows gambling sites to accept bitcoins as their way of playing. I agree, ETF does not affect gambling sites at all.

Gamblers main objective to gamble and all they want is to look for a site that could give them a convenience when gambling and bitcoin has offered that to them and they adopt it. The price volatility or the pumping and dumping as you said is not a big problem because any time they would convert their bitcoin to fiat and knowing that there is an equal movement of that pump and dump, it will not make them deficit. But we cant still remove the fact that the future of online gambling is really bitcoon, and many gambling sites and casinos now are accepting them.
But we could fake the personal information that they are asking since they really don't know who we really are, so basically, asking every players that would gamble in their site is basically useless. Besides, it is not possible for a certain person to scam a gambling site, we are the one who are using the gambling site, so, it is more like we are the one that could get scam by a gambling site if we are not going to check its legitimacy.

I don't think so, but many online games use bitcoin to be played like the casino and other online game sites. For now maybe 30% of people focused in online gambling.

until now, bitcoin is still the best crypto currency for online gambling but if in one day, there is another that offering another benefits for playing gambling than what bitcoin offers, then i think bitcoin will be secondary use for online gambling. but still bitcoin don't need much of informations and this is the reason many people use in online gambling.
