Perhaps in a couple of decades people will be asking this question in the opposite direction. You'll have to find some weird guy in a cafe who's willing to take some dollars so you can pay your taxes.

Haha somehow I doubt that but hey, you never know. Governments will always be pushing fiat I'm assuming. I wonder what will happen when bitcoins take over a large portion of currencies though. Some places may end up with their local currencies being hyperinflated.

Bitcoin is just a currency. It will not do anything to convince you to trust it. The whole system/network of bitcoin is decentralized so there's no scam that will happen when you invest in it. No one will take away your funds since you're the only owner of it. No one's above you. The only way your money will get stolen is if you let a hacker get into your system.

I trust it enough to convert currency between it and to hold money in BTC. As there's not really one person controlling the flow of Bitcoins, it makes it one of the most safest currencies out there.

It can be done if you are very careful about exactly where you put your Bitcoin. I think somebody already mentioned that hacking has been a problem, and also you want to make sure you can always access your Bitcoin in a hurry if you need to.
Buy a trezor and your coins will be safe from hackers. i think everyone should have trezor or any other hardware bitcoin wallet.

Storing money in cold wallets can be another option too, but only for long term or one-time transactions. I put all my money in cold wallets and I'm fine with it. It feels way safer than using a web-based wallet. I'm still using my web-based wallet though, because I need to send money from time to time.

If you mean is about bitcoin as investment yes it is safe but i would suggest that dont put all your savings into it because of some incidents of hacking lately. Maybe put a bit of investment and just make it grow.

I can say that bitcoin is trusted to put our real money, but make sure that the one you are dealing with is trusted too.  There are lots of scammers lurking around to take advantage of peoples ignorant about investments in bitcoin or even the usage of bitcoin itself.  If these scammers saw an opportunity to make you believe that they are part of bitcoin blockchain, they will do it just to extract money from ignorant people.

I have done that, buying bitcoin using real money and I do not see anything wrong with it.  I bought before because I wanted my bitcoin to grow faster.  I have joined an investment site which offered a real high interest rate.  I am aware that you should not believe in high interest rate and yet I still do it.  Now, since then, I do not buy anymore bitcoins.  I just earned them whatever ways I can.

Fist off I will say Bitcoin is also real money in its latest or more advanced shape. We started from metal money then paper money which became plastic money as credit/debit card and now future is for digital money of which Bitcoin is biggest example. Yes, Bitcoin is trusted to use it as alternative of your paper money without any reservation.

Bitcoin worth part of your money but not your whole bank moneys, is because currency exchange and Bitcoin value go up and down all the time... Not one likes to losing money.. Everyone love gaining.. Everything has the pro and cons.. This the reason why many country finance leaders can't accept Bitcoin in the market. Bitcoin need something to define the value of it.

Yo I would answer in affirmative. I am sure it's a good idea but not entirely. Diversify your assets. Bitcoin is future. Buy when others sell, sell when others buy. Invest say 5-10% of your available cash with you.

There are security risks and risks that it will lose value.  There is also potential for it to be worth a great deal of money in the future.  I look at it as an investment, but I can only risk a small amount of my money in it.

Buy bitcoin using real money was in my opinion very well to invest, because if prices grow can benefit. I myself believe that I can benefit in bitcoin with me using bitcoin. It is true that relate to the Internet can be hacked, but if we can maintain the security of information I think will remain safe. I also thought about it, so I just save bitcoin while for short-term investments. And I keep it in my bank account after bitcoin reach my targeted amount and when prices are rising.

It is for now. I am trusting it, that's why I'm here. However, I prefer to earn Bitcoin out of signature campaigns and simply save it all and spend 0 on anything else. I'm investing my own real money in other things like precious metals.
