Since there is lot of money involved, it is certainly being used by criminals. Seeing the returns, they must have also invested in Bitcoins.
Yes, bitcoin is sometimes used by criminals especially by those inclined in the crime of kidnapping and then asking for ransoms. Because it was nearly impossible to trace the user and it's overall security that it gives. moreover, bitcoin has been the main target of internet hackers in the past few years mainly because of its high monetary value.
For me, yes criminals can use bitcoin because bitcoin is for everybody that willing to use it and can use it in anonymously. Back in the days that I read some article that said someone gets caught because of selling drugs and he is using bitcoin as payment. Also, is the main reason for another country that bans bitcoin because of its anonymous user and its ability. Bitcoin is a very significant technology and an excellent digital currency many people become wealthy by the help of it. So, don’t abuse the capability of bitcoin to do some evil stuff or become a lawbreaker. 
News has circulated about a possible Isis supporter sending Bitcoin to an alleged Isis member... I have no idea if this is really confirmed.

Internet and Bitcoin are just devices that 'bad guys' and 'good people'. Fortunately, the world is filled with more people in the 'good people' category.
It could be possible. It's normal in any cases there are always a good and bad guys. Because the criminals or terrorist don't have a source to get there financial everyday and there needs they use bitcoin as there transaction.
Maybe yes, crypto currencies are untraceable for making any transactions, which is very helpful for them to hide their identity for every transaction they do. So it's nearly possible that criminals may also used crypto currency for their criminal activities.
We dont know bitcoin now is very popular..if they used it..anyone could do so..whatever they wanted to spend it they can do so..
I think mainly,because many people think Bitcoin is anonymous, when in fact it’s the opposite.All Bitcoin transactions are transparent for the whole world to see,although people might not be able to link the identity to Bitcoin.Bitcoin might actually turn out to be one of the safest and least ‘bad’ ways to use money, it doesn’t mean that criminals don’t use it. Just like normal money, they do.

Bitcoin is indeed for everyone that is why even criminals are able to use it. And the advantage for them of using bitcoin is that they can be anonymous while trading or buying illegal things since transaction cannot be tracked.

since bitcoin is becoming popular, many people are using it including criminals for their illegal activities. I once watched from the national tv in the news that there are some criminals caught by doing illegal transactions and they used bitcoin as a medium of exchange, they said bitcoin is easier to use when transacting and it does not include your real identity that is why they can use it for illegal things. This is what government see in bitcoin, they look at it as a threat and not thinking about the positive things that it can help in the economy.

Everything has both good and a bad side. Any transaction with regular debit or credit cards can be monitored and controlled by banks and government.The same way traditional money is used by everyone including criminals.Not only Bitcoin but many other crypto currencies are being used by criminals. More effective as other coins such as Monero which provide full anonymity and completely un-traceable transactions for it's users.

The government realizes that bitcoin (cryptocurrency) brings many benefits, but there is a negative side that the government is concerned about: the use of cryptocurrency for criminal tools. The government can not control completely. Thus, one of the preventive actions that some governments can take to protect the people and their economic stability is to ban bitcoin.

criminals use everything. They steal millions of $, but no-one talks about banning $, the same should go with bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.
Yes you are right, basically the crime doesn't see digital coins, fiat currencies and other things even the knife can be used for crime, but doesn't mean the knife is bad or wrong, so do with the bitcoin. We know that the bitcoin is new innovations and technology behind of the blockchain and it is not tool of crime, should the people doesn't blamed the bitcoin everything depending on the users who used the bitcoin.

From the start, I expected that this will happen in the future since bitcoin as a value and anything that has value can be traded into another thing. Fiat money has been used by criminals in their bad activities so using bitcoin by the criminals is expected.
We cannot rule out the possibility that it is used by criminals. But this is common with other forms of payment as well. I know a lot of people using stealth PayPal acccounts to make shady purchases or receive money for illegal work.
I am a little bit tired of hearing stuff like this. Bitcoin is implicated to terror activities, to illegal activities, to the deep web where everything appears to be illegal thus underground, and so on. There is no point really to generalize anything at this point as a some kind of tool for terrorists.For those who are easily affected will definitely consider bitcoin very bad.
