Bitcointalk uses SMF (simple machine forum) which is open source.
https://www.simplemachines.org/

there is some additional customization, which,  AFAIK, is not open source.

We all know Bitcointalk was the victim of several attacks in the past, in 2011 and 2013. So is there any source code for BitcoinTalk? Is it published to the public for exploration, for finding any exploitations, or if it has any vulnerabilities? I am not a programmer, so I don't have enough knowledge of it. But I wanted to know details about it anyway. It was just a curious mind question: who wants to know more about this forum?
This question came to mind because of a recent post I saw about Bitcointalk being down for 7 minutes. That's it.
