What do you mean by “deep web”? Do you mean deep secrets or having something to hide from the community members? If that’s what you mean, then you’re totally wrong. I don’t think there is anything hidden. And tell your friends that they’re lying, Bitcointalk is just a forum where people get together to know more on Bitcoin daily. There is nothing like the forum stealing your info. But that doesn’t mean you should careless with your personal info.

Bitcointalk.org is not a deep web, deep web is a site where some underground and illegal transaction is found or be made. Your classmate is just make some speculation to there mind and don't really know the different of these two website. Bitcointalk.org is just a forum website that really focus on bitcoin or cryptocurrencies.

What the hell did i just read? Better to search on google on what is deep web or dark net. Bitcointalk.org is a forum and its the original bitcoin forum and deep web is just an another place where illegal stuffs have been hidden which you cant find those things if you do try to search on surface web search browsers.

Darkweb and deepweb sites aren't accessible from normal search engine . They are pages that you can't access without the actual URL and the permissions to enter it. Everything in dark/deep web is private and you can't get to as easily as you can think without using TOR or other softwares .
So if you can access any website without any special software , you can't classify it as deep/dark web.

You are right, and if it will be a darknet website. We all should use TOR browser to access in this site which it's wrong, because it's not hidden site and situated in the normal internet. Everybody can access to this site.

Also, bitcointalk.org is a big forum which based on bitcoin in general and bitcoin is not illegal as i think. So everyone can access here without any problems.

I think op need some knowledge related to domains.
To op i will say that this website can be accessed with a domain and there is nothing the admin did to make the domain unreadable form by that i mean a big named domain or with .onion bitcointalk is easy to remember and can be accessed using www so its not a deep web website.

Bitcoin is made to share knowledge about bitcoin. Since this is a forum, this should be accessible to anyone who wants more info about bitcoin and altcoins. It is not like a secret place for illegal stuffs compared to silkroad. This site run since the the year the bitcoin starting to circulate the online market. Since then there are no illegal stuffs present here. Let the bitcointalk website stays here and let it be the one bitcointalk we used to.

Bitcoin is not a deep web because the deep or dark web is hidden from the normal web and only can be seen with a special browser called TOR browser. (TOR = The Onion Router)

Bitcointalk.org is available to everyone therefore it is not the deep web.

Bitcointalk.org has remained a primary to secondary school of bitcoin knowledge and technology for me.

Never did I heard that bitcointalk.org is part or a deep web. To be honest I do not know anything what is deep web all I know is a dark web. Grin

Even if I heard it now I will continue using bitcointalk.org as this is the extension of my way of earning additional income. Through this site or organization I was able to learn more about bitcoins. I understand some point of it that is vague for me before. I am also having fun on reading people's post about different topics as I see that indeed people have different beliefs and opinions.

Just sharing my thoughts on some of your "newcomer" concerns. The main reason why there seems to be a link or association Bitcoin and the darkwweb is that many of the transactions that took place in darkweb were using Bitcoin since there is a certain degree of anonymity with it though this is not absolute. and people will only read the headlines when reading new that is why many are not aware of the fine details on this occurrence.

Now, the question is: If darkweb transactions will revert back to the dollar...will the dollar be associate with the darkweb? Probably not because we already know the dollar. This is the main logic behind this association so we can have a clearer and bigger view of the subject.

Now, talking about this forum (Bitcointalk.org) there is no association here whatsoever with the darkweb. Yes, probably there are members here who can be part of the darkweb but we should not make a dot connect with that as anybody can be a member of any forum.

Deepweb is mostly used for the purpose, where one wants to keep it secret from the others whereas on the other hand, at Bitcointalk we are proud to say that we use Bitcoins and we discuss everything that is related to it. Anyone from any corner of the world can access this forum without any fear or special browser. It's a simple community of the people who are willing to contribute to the growth of Bitcoin. That's it, not a big deal.

I think you are referring to dark web with that deep web, yes bitcoin is used in dark webs because it is anonymous payment method but today it is accepted in almost every shop/merchant around the world and we also have bitcoin ATMs from where you can get cash for your bitcoin. So bitcoin is no more something that is only used in dark webs.

Yes, bitcointalks does provide money making methods, but not jobs. You can't make a living of signature campaign or other odd jobs around here, unless you have like 10 accounts posting, but that is not allowed by campaign managers.

Bitcointalk isn't a deepweb, you can access it anywhere, anytime. A deep website, can only be used by onion browser, for example TOR browser.

That is the worst logic I have heard. Bitcoin is associated with drugs and deep web (bad logic) and since bitcointalk is associated with bitcoin, bitcointalk is associated with deep web (worse logic). People who think this neither know about Bitcoin nor the deep web.
