Yes, thanks.

It looks like Vicurex is a sounder interface.  For now.  I suppose that they will come to have their attacks too...

And the point about the shallow market at Vic is well taken too.

I have managed to get on to btce enough to move most of my holdings out... just a few more.

You know this blocking IP addresses in an exchange,
there not getting ddosed. there jsut blocking everyones ip address. There ddos filter is going insane

You know this blocking IP addresses in an exchange, is a bit scary for me.

I think they should have a whitelist of all the IP addresses which are making regular transactions. After all we are talking about money here.

exactly.

expecting customers to send IP addresses when they already should have them on file is dipshit.

Learn how to run a god damn business btce

If you guys are wondering if BTC-E.Com is down, you can use a site like www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com or www.isup.me.  I've had a hell of a time connecting at work.  I emailed support to whitelist my static IP.  I've unblocked half of Russia in our firewall.  If I use a proxy site, I can get to it... but it's not pretty.  Once or twice I got the site to load sans proxy, but it didn't last all day.

I could be 100% wrong on this one, but I think they might be doing round robin DNS, and bouncing the website IP around to thwart would be DDOS.  Two or three times today, I got a different IP/country for the website, which might support this idea.  Of course, I'm a complete moron when it comes to the finer intricacies of networking... so it could just be gremlins too.  But maybe that's why it's up and down for some people.

It's working quite well. Write e-mail with your IP to [email protected].

I just sent them an e-mail at the address you provided.

That is pretty crappy though.  I was accessing the site, did a BTC transfer, watched it arrive, and did a small trade, confirmed it went trough, and bam... down...

Thanks for the info.

Edit: I can confirm this, as I can access the site from another IP.

Edit2: Up again...  Took 5~10 minutes Smiley

It's down again...  Not pinging at all.  Huh
I think that your IP got banned by Anti-DDoS filters.

I've noticed btc-e go down twice in the last 24 hours.

It happened at the exact same time (both times) that I clicked on the 'calculate' button on an LTC buy order for about 2500 LTC with a low price. By low I mean about half what it's currently trading for.

It's quite the coincidence that this happened twice at the same point in the transaction.

I'll try again when it comes back up.

This whole thing was screwy, no one threw over 1000 coins at it till now? But 2500 turns it all around. Well, congrats about the forecast and (here in a few minutes) being Back in Black! (Where's the headbanger smiley on here?)

Well nothing's really working good, Gox's API is the usual "useless when it's most needed" and even Gox itself is flakey. The fall has slowed considerable, I hope it's back up to $44 or so when you get back in, then we can both laugh about this day. (I didn't have much left, panic sold most everything left @ 48.4)

Down to $33.50. On the downside, I lost a fairly substantial amount of cash. On the Upside, I had been telling everyone all day that BTC is headed toward $30, and been met with scoffs and remarks of how $100 is the next target.

I just wish being right wasn't so costly.
