I doubt that cryptocurrencies will be able to replace Fiat in the near future, the current technical characteristics don’t reach the required level to cover the needs of mankind. May be in 10-15 years , not now .
Cryptocurrency is the future of all payment method due to the decentralized nature which grants financial freedom and power to the people. However, for it to replace cash or the Fiat, it will take years of awareness creation. Up to date, some people do not have access to internet whereas others do not know how to access it.
Cryptocurrency can never replace the national money of states. It is designed to create an alternative payment system, and not to replace the existing payment system. Due to many reasons, including high volatility, decentralized cryptocurrency will never replace fiat. Here our desire is small. Cryptocurrency can not support the development of the economy of a particular state, because it has nothing to do with it. Therefore, governments will never decide on such a replacement.
While cryptocurrencies are without a doubt taking over the financial market, it will take a lifetime for them to take over FIAT currency in the real sense. The fact remains that fiat has been around for centuries and people are comfortable and used to the idea of giving paper money for services/products. Moreover, a lot of cultures aren't ready to adopt cryptos because they think there's something wrong with it. But whatever the case, if it does happen, it will take a really long time.

Cryptocurrency is the future but not all the payment. Just think of isolated areas in different countries that does not know about the idea of internet? even we are on technological age we cannot deny the fact that there are still some group of people who does not welcome the uses of technology such as tribes for example Africa and Asian countries who are known as a very cultured countries. It would take a long long time for fiat to be a cryptocurrency. 
When a new technology emerges, it replaces old things. He needs to go through a long time, similar to evolution. To adapt to the user, it can be accepted by the society. It takes time. The blockchain takes time to adapt to the world.

It may replace fiat but i think it may take some time. Volatility of cryptocurrency will make it hard for government to control and regulate it. 
I think all we need is more adoption. For that, we need tv ads and an easy way to register for crypto through banks or something.
It is a very long shot, but remember the only constant thing in the world is change, which means anything can happen regarding cryptocurrency. The fact that people want financial freedom and decentralized mode of payments which is offered by cryptocurrency shows that it is surely going to be a reality. Replacing fiat? A very long shot but is not impossible.

Yes, I think so, but we cannot see this will happen in the short time because we need each government from all country to accepting cryptocurrency as a new currency for their country. As you said, we need an internet connection to access cryptocurrency, and without that, the small country cannot use cryptocurrency. So it needs time before this could happen in the future and I think the governments need to build more infrastructure so their people can easily to access the internet.
We all know how government wants the control and the way I see it, cryptocurrency will apparently just go hand in hand with fiat, while the space is regulated so as to curtail some negative activities within the space.

Until now Crypto had not replaced Fiat in terms of transactions in traditional markets, but when online Crypto was able to become a priority for long-distance and fast transactions.
There are a lot of project that are moving towards this goal. And I hope we will finally see a lot of great products that will replace the fiat money system. For the replace to take place, we need to achieve the mass adoption of crypto currencies and this step would only be possible, when the products will be ready to use.
No, I don't think so. We truly need both of them and we should not forget that fiat currency is part of a country sovereignty which will not be easy to take away from any country unless we all come together for one world digital currency.
Do you remember pizza for 10000 btc and silk road. It was a beginning off goods/crypto exchange and crypto became a mean of payment. Everything in your hands, popularize crypto and you will see that in a few years people forget about fiat.
While cryptocurrency might be the future I dont think it can replace fiat. Fiat has been here for too long and has establish a lot just to be replaced by something new and fresh. Although I believe cryptocurrency will become an alternative instead of it replacing fiat. Fiat and cryptocurrency will go hand in hand one day.
Even with cryptocurrency being the future of payment, it obviously will not cut across every faction globally, and it would even take time before we even started seeing a wide usage as some are limited to technologies and facilities that would not make them even have an understanding of what cryptocurrency is. What i see is that cryptocurrency will end up being an alternative to fiat when it comes to spending. There would be some group in the world that would obviously get to be using cryptocurrency for their daily lives and there would be some that would most definitely be stuck with fiat or mixing both one way or the other.
