Staying out of cryptys is a wise thing to do.
I used them in the past and had no problem, but them holding other people's money is just wrong.

It makes me doubt if they are solvent too.

From what i have read recently i think putting bitcoin or any other coins near Cryptsy is a very dangerous venture, numerous people have been on the forum complaing about slow and no withdrawels.  i would stay well clear for the forseeable future.

I am waiting for ages for Crytpsy to finally finish up their wallets. Since so long i am waiting for them folks to fix their AmberCoin wallet.
I think it's better to sell and withdraw to some other coin.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I haven't made any recent deposits but I am a 4 days waiting on my final BTC and LTC withdrawals to go through.  In waiting mode and hoping they eventually process them so I don't take an unfortunate loss.

Cryptsy has not been solvent since weeks now. Judging why they waited for withdrawals (from deposits).
If am no not misinformed they are reaching their boiling point in the next few days..

Well they are insolvent to say the least.
First there was just a waiting time for withdrawals, but it seems to be withdrawals has stopped 100%.

This is wrong bro.

Closing down customer accounts. Isn't that illegal btw?
You can close an account because it is inactive for 3,4 or even 5 months? People's can't be taken away so easy.

My 2+ years old account was locked after just a few months of inactivity too.

...

WTF, was it really after 2 months?
Why would they even consider disabling your account after just 2 months?
It's not that having an account is costing them any money right...

It was just a few months, a little bit more than 2 but hardly more than 5. I can't tell exactly because, well, I'm locked out of my history Roll Eyes

Anyway, AFAIK all of my accounts there were either empty or dust.

I won't speculate about WTF their policies can be, but yeah, it's quite fucked up.

My 2+ years old account was locked after just a few months of inactivity too.

About 2 weeks ago I wrote them an e-mail request to unlock as mentioned in their message, but no answer.

Fortunately, I wouldn't have trusted them even back then so I never left any significant funds there for any extended period of time. Generally speaking, I wouldn't recommend using them at all and I might just as well stay happy with my account remaining locked forever.

Even if they are technically solvent, they sound like excuse making assholes so don't deserve anyone's business ever again. Good luck with it.

Thank you I just tweeted big Vern I will keep everyone posted.

I am not sure if he has time to respond. My best experience is to contact support and stay patient.
Meaning don't remind them every day, but stay still for 3/4 days, when sending your next reminder.

Asking them politely what's up, is mandatory too.

They ve been having problems with both BTC and alts withdrawals and more importantly, they ve been selling people some BS about technical difficulties when it s obvious this is the question of LIQUIDITY. So yes, I d stay away from using them for now.

I have been trying for days to have them help unlock my accounts (I have two). They had no problem unlocking my wife's, she has .05 BTC in it but mine I have over 1 btc ( a lot of money for me). I have sent them lots of emails and they are not helping.
Feel sorry for you man. We cannot help you about your problem.

But you can try to 'spamming' his email, or twitter here https://twitter.com/cryptsy.

I have been trying for days to have them help unlock my accounts (I have two). They had no problem unlocking my wife's, in less than two hours. She has .05 BTC in it but mine I have over 1 btc ( a lot of money for me). I have sent them lots of emails and a screenshot of my account. They are telling me they that they have unlocked the account associated with my email account. I tried sending a support ticket from my other email account thinking that was the problem but they told me no account was associated with that email?Huh Not sure if they are stone walling me or just not helping. I was wondering if anyone knows any where I can send this info to, to put pressure on them?

Personally, I don't gamble on cryptsy. If I do gamble, I use Primedice or crypto-games. These are the only two gambling sites I use. I think primedice is the most popular gambling site. A lot of people have stopped using cryptsy because if you try withdraw 0.3 or more Bitcoin, it won't withdraw.

It took them 5 days for them to process my final withdrawal of about .03 BTC, very risky at this point, personally I wouldn't deposit any BTC on their site again. BEWARE!
I don't know why people use cryptsy, Primedice is much better. There are also many other sites that are better than cryptsy. The era of cryptsy is over.
cryptsy is altcoin exchanges, nearly fall out. It is risky to deposit and exchange there.  Primedice or crypto-games are gambling websites. How can we compare with them?
