they are legit as i have palced orders in past and just placed an order for the new silver coins and asked them some questions and i will say they are really slow at replying. Also expect few weeks once you order for your coins to ship out

I am trying to order now but your site wont let me click the terms and conditions box to complete my order ?
It just keeps telling me to accept the term and conditions but wont allow me to do so .

As the price is going up - waiting for your site to work is now costing me money

Dont know the amount of people they employ but most are solo or 2 people.  I actually prefer the one or small amount of people teams.  Lowers the amount of people you need to trust.

I still think a phone number would be good for credit card purchases and enquires. .

We have now decreased it to 40,92 € (incl. VAT) to Germany and other EU countries. Outside the EU it is 33 € (excl. VAT). We are also soon getting better prices for some EU countries like Germany.

Denarium are a solid company in my opinion

They have been around a long time in various ventures - going back to bitiraha way back in the day

Physical coin sales (starting with Casascius, back in 2011), ATMs, exchange and much more - including their own Denarium coins

I wholeheartedly agree. The shipping prices are a turnoff and has turned many a potential buyer away.

thanks denarium, checked my order again shipping to germany a 185 euro coin will cost 58.78 euro via gls/fedex. would love to buy some but i cant justify that shipping price.

To make things clear, I will try to answer all the questions that have raised.

The Customer service phone
At the Denarium, we do not have public customer service by phone. However, we do contact bigger clients and partners by phone if there is a need for it. Prasos (which is the company that owns Denarium) indeed has a customer service by phone, but it is meant for general use and not for Denarium. We think that with an email/Zendesk it is more efficient to handle customer cases which are often related to the orders and shipments etc. All the data (tracking links, codes, etc. ) is processed way easier by text than in a phone. We might add phone support in the future.

The VAT of the gold coins
As many of the customers have already seen, we are now on charging the VAT from the gold coin purchases that are shipped inside to the EU (does not apply to companies with verifies VAT number). This is because of the nature of our gold coins. For the product to be qualified for exemption from taxation, it must meet the criteria for investment gold. We have taken a more accurate look at the guidelines that Finnish Tax authorities provide and despite our previous thought, our coins do not meet these requirements. The most insurmountable issue is that our coins are not legal tender, meaning, therefore, it has no denomination, for example, 10 USD on the coin.

What comes to the auction coins, the auction price includes the VAT if it is shipped inside to the EU.

Because of that, we have already started the design and production of the Denarium Gold Bullions, which meets the requirements for the investment gold. Investment gold bullions do not need to be legal tender. Estimated release is mid-2018.

The shipping costs
We have DHL option which is quite cheap for non-precious metal coins. However, DHL does not allow us to send silver, gold, and other precious metals and we are forced to use FedEx or GLS at the moment. We have reduced the price of FedEx/GLS by 30€ lately, and we are continuously looking better options for the shipping.

yes and no bud.. but the point being if they are charging VAT on the site then they should of been charging it for forum sales - they didn't do this as they knew we would of all pulled them up on it

for 1 coin to the euro zone was 68 euro, something to do with precious metals in the order.

The VAT has to do with the receiving country. It's not up to them.

Denarium has been a well reputed source for physical cryptocoins for some years now.    I have not heard of any problems, and they have a decently high volume of business.

Idk it's that the normal rate from Finland to USA with insurance and what not?

I don't understand how they can charge a VAT if it's not applicable, and the bitcoin community still supports them?

they also want VAT for gold coins when VAT isn't applicable. They lost me as a client on the last release as I was looking to purchase a few of the 1oz gold 1BTC coins
