It is legit crap. Basically a joke coin that somehow got this big. Don't waste your time. But it is good for a laugh. So not a scam, but worthless and is not going anywhere.

So legit or otherwise, maybe one can find 'faithful' as an appropriate adjective for it!

I have also found Doge useful for transfers. I wouldn't hold it though.

There is a podcast with an interview of the founder Jackson Palmer. Its only about 8 minutes.

Yes Dogecoin is legit and a good alternative to escape from paying outrageous transaction fees from bitcoins, or other currencies. You can always convert your coins to Doge then convert it back again to BTC or ETH when you are ready to withdraw, in this way you will just be paying a small amount of transaction fee. The prices of Doge is quite stable so it is easier to manage when transferring from coins to other coins as you can easily determine the price.

I think dogecoin is legit but for long-term investments it's not, as some people say no progress from the project development. But lately, the price of dogecoin increases and of course be an alternative when sending from other exchange to exchange the other because doge have a low fee. So its legit for now from my opinion

Sorry for my bad English and thanks!

Is a fun coin but a very stable and usable one. Many exchanges use it as a means to convert between alt coins

It is legitimate for this purpose only, transferring between exchanges and saving on fees. Besides that there really is not much use-case here but this is crypto and it has survived for 2 years beyond that. So if you want to feel secure you probably can while investing in Dogecoin because it is a coin that seemingly never dies, despite how much not development is going into it Grin.

Dogecoin might be good for this year as it is the year of the dog for chinese new year. Otherwise it would not be a good investment, just a fun coin to throw around and tip other people with. For a good investment pick some privacy coins due to the increasing crack down by governments - they will do well in 2018

I have been hearing about a lot of fraudulent altcoins out there.
Personally have been eyeing Dogecoin for a while to purchase as an altcoin. However,
I believe I came across an article that called them fake. The thing is the article did not
go into any further details.

All I want to know is if Dogecoin is a legitimate investment into altcoins? Help me
Crypto-world, what do you think?
Doge coin is already inactive/dead coin for about 2.5years which means there is not development going on,It was created just for fun a meme coin which doesnt have any use in the market, its morelikely a copy of bitcoin which has faster transaction confirmation and lower fees. Now tell me is that a good investment? no active developers and had been dead for years?if you will find more if you did your research.
