I think ETF didn't effect and influence bitcoin, I don't have seems wrong about ETF. But many people said that ETF gives bitcoin a lot of money if that will be approved by SEC and ETF is an important tool that will largen bitcoin security and privacy.

I think the opposite is true
ETF has a great impact on the market as a whole
But with an important note regarding the bitcoin price
If the ETF agrees chances of rising prices will be great
If an ETF is rejected, go to  low prices will be limited.

ETF also contributed to Bitcoin's value a bit. Since ETF was approved by SEC, it was a new feat for Bitcoin world. The more approvals the government will have the more doors open to Bitcoin.

ETF’s are big business and as of last year their market size was $3 trillion doll hairs. Their success mainly embodies ease of use, low trading fees and can be advantageous to tax weary investors. ETFs will have a major impact on the price of BTC and will inadvertently make it a store of value rather than it’s original vision aka a medium of exchange.

Hello...Freinds

There are lots of news are coming up about ETF & Bitcoin. Is Really ETF effect the BTC price?
There was big really on gold after Gold ETF approved
So traders are expecting the same on bitcoin
Now that btc ETF is used like a reason for pump and dump
Is this good for bitcoin it depends how it is done ETF based on futures will make btc fully derivative
Personally i think that there are much more important things for btc than ETF

In my opinion ETF approval can only add to Bitcoin's popularity and demand whereas getting rejected by Security Exchange commission will not make it less valuable which will cause a dip in price. So, ETF can only affect Bitcoin's price in positive way. I see no reason for it to damage Bitcoin's reputation or demand.

Have you thought about what wll happen to Bitcoin if ETF were to be rejected? DOOM!!!

Why? Bitcoin has always been traded without etf's, bitcoin doesn't need it.

Hello...Freinds

There are lots of news are coming up about ETF & Bitcoin. Is Really ETF effect the BTC price?

ETF is a finacial instrument which allows traditional markets to enter crypto trading with current regulations in place. The ETF istelf currently cant effect the price since there is no ETF ( at least in the USA ) but the anticipation can and will effect the price as in case of BTC futures. Also noone knows what the ETF will look like, will it acutally help avarage Joe or will it be for institutional investors only.

You have given example about ETF why need to Bitcoin thanks for the information it is helpful for me to understand what is ETF and why Bitcoin need that I hope all other also understand about ETF with your post.

We are not sure if if really brings a lot of institutional money to bitcoin market if ever a likelihood of ETF's being approved and implemented. The worst thing that will happen its that Bitcoin will formed another bubble and then suddenly pops up causing the price to crash again. So I still have mix emotions, but just like others say have, let's see how it pan outs. But just be ready when all the hype died down bringing the price to its knees again.

All cryptocurancy is not just Bitcoin. if it has been approved by the SEC then the ETF will give bitcoin a lot of money. This really affects the price of bitcoin as it can be a new gateway for investors to put their money in bitcoin. remember bitcoin is not classified as a security token and it will be fine.

Market reacts to the news about ETFs which unfortunately is a bad news. But in my opinion this is just a temporary reactions. Soon or later, market will react to the other issues.

Anything effects the price. Good news. Bad news. Rumors of good news. Rumors of Bad news. FUD. Excitement. FOMO. Weak hands. Hodlers. Any sort of institutional money coming into bitcoin is bound to effect the value, but the ETF isn't the be all and end all of bitcoin, but people are seemingly getting excited by the possibility of it and the price certainly did fall on the news of the delay of the ETF so make of that what you will.

It really should not affect bitcoin prices. Since this etf is for large investors only those who can invest large quantities.

I agree with those who think that ETF decision has only short term impact on bitcoin price. Bitcoin exists already a lot of years without any support of such organization. The main reason of it is that the people believe in it.

Right now things were much worse marking its value developing hard resistance to stay above $7000.

Some sense, thank you.

I'm really just wondering the golden question; where is the natural value / bottom? In my view, we're heading back to circa $6500. I think that's where the base value is, and everything above that is just the result of emotional trading, manipulation and noise. I've got no evidence of this, other than historically it just seems to be the area that the market tends to retreat towards.

Some people like the volatility and trade on it (shorts etc), but I'm not one of those people. Good news is great (Startbucks, ETF's, Lightning Network, whatever), but it's no good as a currency unless it's a lot more stable. I don't want to just hodl, I want a currency. I want magic internet money. We don't have it. Not really. What we have is incomprehensible (in terms of volatility) and dangerous because it's so highly influential on other markets.

I just wish the BTC market wasn't so easily influenced (manipulated?) by those with big bags, and that normal individuals (I can't call them traders) weren't so emotional driven by FUD and FOMO - traders try to ignore those two pitfalls. Manipulation, FUD and FOMO make the volatility worse, and all of that affects other markets because BTC is king and there are so many trading pairs with BTC to other alts.

BTC needs to sort its head out, for the good of the cryptosphere.

ETF's will come, and personally I think it will be institutional investors, so lofty highs are ahead; but just not for a while yet.

After certain issues the growth has been taking place in a gradual manner. All of the sudden things began to happen in the opposite manner, once after the ETF rejection. In between there have been good growth taking the value of bitcoin go above $8200. This didn't sustain long, in no time everything went taking the price back below $7500. Right now things were much worse marking its value developing hard resistance to stay above $7000.

I personally never thought ETF news could affect the market. However, it seemed like a blessing to the community when actually ETF related news made BTC to rise up to 8,200$, after the recent rejection of Wiklevoss brother's proposed ETF model, I thought the price will go down again, which actually didn't go down. So, I think it is only affecting the price in a positive way.

BTC is still standing strong at 8,200$.

What? Check the current price (August 4, 2018 at 20:45 UTC).

$7016 (coincap) and Google says its $6983.

The recent rejection of Winklevoss's ETF has not affected the price in any way. BTC is still standing strong at 8,200$. There will be more hearings for ETF to get approved in the future which will create a lot of expectation and demand among people for sure. BTC will definitely rise then.
