It depends on your own thoroughness , I myself invested in ethereum long enough and never injured, I always benefit from ethereum, if for the long term it is good ethereum

Perhaps the current price of ethereum will increase as many ico projects receive ethereum. With many ico projects, making a team hold a lot of ethereum. They could sell it to run a project that keeps the price down. I think for now is not the right time to invest on ethereum

I think the most favorable coin today after bitcoin is ethereum, this is because they have the advantage of being able to receive tokens from other coins so the price will continue to increase.

Ethereum is not best for investment, but it really keep second place.

yes with there is Segwit we can make use for buy many coins because for now price the coin is down even price Bitcoin also down.

I think this is the good time to invest in ethereum, because due to bitcoin segwit price of all crytocurrencies were smoothly declining. However I believe that after bitcoin segwit every thing will be back to normal.

Due to its flexibility and relevance, the etherium will remain the leading technology, behind it is one of the best teams in which there is a balance between business and science. At the moment, it is far ahead, and underestimated. I think that it should occupy 50% of the portfolio ...

Because of Bitcoin Segwit ETH coin came very down and it is the best time for investment according to me because it is the second best coin after Bitcoin so I am sure when segwit will be completed and everything will start to grow Ethereum will also grow and I am sure it will cross its previous All Time High.

Only to invest in Ethereum isn't a good choice. For sure it will definitely rise in value but there are also other platforms that run smart contracts very similar to ETH. Antshares, for example, has much in common with Ethereum and scalability is no problem for them.
Also, there's the all-in-one digital asset solution build around Bitshares. EOS builds the Smart Contract part into the Bitshares environment. Combined with their own decentralised trading platform called Openledger opens the Bitshares Wolrd many possibilities. By the way, the creator of BTS & EOS is also the co-founder of the well-known social media tipping platform steemit (Steem).
Last but not least we have IOTA. Last week some news got Leaked out of the BOSCH Intranet. That made one more time very clear that IOTA is working together with big names. BOSCH products are used by almost every car manufacturer worldwide. Because of zero transactions fees and the best scalability in cryptocpace i think IOTA is the one to connect our critical infrastructures with blockchain. IOTA is very flexible and is able to communicate with other Smart Contracts like the ones build on Ethereum or any other.
So in the name of diversification i prefer to invest in Ethereum, Antshares, Bitshares, EOS, IOTA & for sure (we don't have to talk about) Bitcoin & Litecoin. For me, that's the base technologies of future blockchain infrastructures. For sure there is much more great investment opportunities like the niche cryptocurrencies Siacoin.

SECRET TIPP;):NEM (XEM) is very interesting. The founders are very focused on quality and don't give much on advertising. That's the reason why NEM(XEM) is totally undervalued. I can be wrong but i think 3 Million NEM's are needed to run a Masternote. So, Hurry up friends.

If the ICO guys can stop dumping ether then the price could stable and go up, else we are in for a roller coaster ride.

if you talking about longterm investment then my answer is yes.

Best for investment is a portfolio as always. Never put you all your eggs in one basket but some percent of your portfolio has to be in eth.

What else are you going to use it for?

I think ethereum had always been a good investment. Maybe now is a good time to buy and wait till it goes up in price like it recently did to cause gpus to go up in price and even had people buying many second hand ones. Might also be worth noting if you can get some gpus before then as well.

I say yes because there are lots of coin or tokens created using ethereum ability create erc20 smart contracts so every transaction need some gas so it will gain higher transaction so it will grow.

Yes better for a long term holding. You'll profit more as the price of eth is quite high and buy when the price dumps. Also consider ltc as this too have potential for long term.

ETH is still a good investment for a long term hold. As it is for all crypto who are not shitcoins. The global market capitalization will grows in the next months.
But for short term, who knows.

Now the price of ETH is starting to increase, and there is still a chance to buy it either for investment or trading. And after 1 August the possibility of ETH will skyrocket to reach the highest price from previous price.

ETH is getting bubbled now and may be a good idea to buy ETH and save the rest on BTC, where you need to buy something.
Though the down trend is unexpected and we don't know when the price is back again, with the recent news of August 1st.
