I don't think ethereum is going to fail Bitcoin anytime in near future because Bitcoin has a very strong fan base and a lot of people want to invest in bitcoin. Ethereum has not gained that type of popularity till now and it would take years for ethereum to be at that level.

No, I disagree with what people said about ethereum,Of course, It's not greater than bitcoin, even it is a great crypto. I don't see that one day, ethereum will beat the bitcoin at least in the near future. But when i said that, I don't mean that eth is not good, Personally i really invested in it.
I can say if ethereum just a serious competitor for bitcoin itself and with a lot of project and connect one to other that makes the solid for the community. I can't say ether as a scam coin but the serious competitor for bitcoin itself. Ethereum basically is not a payment system and its purpose as a coin is very different from bitcoin. It can be higher than bitcoin in terms of market cap sure but it cannot provide things that bitcoin provides
in fact bitcoin is the main currency and people use it as for payment system while the other coins mostly people use for investment and trading purposes. and therefore i am sure that even etherium may also be using for the same purpose. No... I don't see what ETH brings to the table or has different than Bitcoin that could really cause issues for Bitcoin.
Well, on ethereum one can perform smart contracts for one thing (so, no escrow service needed). Thus, ethereum also enables one to create decentralized apps which is an improvement in gambling sector. Apart from that, I guess eth transactions are performed a lot faster and are cheaper than bitcoin ones. Neverthless, I don't think eth can beat btc and the reason is that too many people are just too used to bitcoin and they don't want to switch to anything new anymore.

IN BOLD - where ever you heard or read that from, it is a blatant lie. That is like a present affirmation that Ethereum is greater (HOW?), as far as I am concerned, they are incomparable (It is like an insult to Bitcoin presently) although I must say that if Bitcoin isn't careful, it may loose its spot as there are cryptocurrencies now with more and better features than bitcoin, but what I don't know is how they will fair if they experience thesame massive tx like bitcoin. Like I read on a post that the only advantage bitcoin has now is the FIRST MOVERS ADVANTAGE! Future? I have no idea cause I ain't God but I do not agree one bit that Ethereum will surpass Bitcoin and if it does eventually? I leave my decisions till then!
