I tried to transfer some coins using their Smart transfer option from BCH to another Alt coin but the transaction is pending for about 7 hours now. No reply from their support. Is freewallet.org any good?

I'd say you do some research before choosing a wallet. Id suggest you try out blockchain wallet. It's safe and secure. You are the only with the access to your private keys and can with that recover your lost bitcoins if at all it got lost.

ssrerd, there was a possibility of BCH transaction delays because of the blockchain condition recently: we posted a notification in the app. That could be the reason why your exchange was delayed. Please provide your user id from the Settings so that we could locate your support request, our support team will get back to you in the app. Apologies for the inconvenience!

Freewallet, My user Id is ea9530c2. Kindly check the same. It has been days now and sent numerous messages in support.

I wouldn't use them. There are multiple supports of people losing their funds and supposedly getting scammed. And since you don't control your private keys, I wouldn't be surprised if that was true. Why even risk your coins by giving them to someone who has full access to your coins and can take them whenever they want?

If you get your coins back, do yourself a favor and create a safe wallet.

TryNinja, we research all user complaints, and most of the issues that are coming up turn out to be user-related: people make transactions to addresses of a wrong network or without a proper payment ID; there can be delays with transactions due to the current network state (especially with Bitcoin); sometimes there are troubles with exchange services our partner provides. Any live service on a highly volatile market, such as the crypto one, can expect to encounter issues eventually. We're doing our best to assist our users with resolving them ASAP.

Regarding being a custodial wallet, we're not the only one on the market. This business model has its pros and cons, and every user decides whether our app fits their needs.

There are many trusted wallets out there, why do you need to use wallets that has not been heard before. Make a research about the wallet you will be using to avoid being scammed. Goodluck part, I hope things are okay now.

Yes I agree. Should have done some research. Still waiting for their response in support. My coins are on hold. But, I don't understand why some promising alt coins sites vouch these wallets.

I have heard of them before from the NXT community and of the NXT wallet they provide. I have not read bad things about them at that community but it is never a good idea to not be in control of your private keys. So I would not use.

This is how I came to know regarding this wallet. Due to some issues with Bittrex and Hitbtc, I tried to use this wallet to buy some NXT due to that airdrop thing. But everything fell apart.

OMG!! Then, I'm screwed. Have contacted their support in regard to this, let me see if I'm lucky enough to get back my coins. Thanks for the suggestion @TryNinja, will transfer to a safe wallet if I receive it. Feels disappointed though. Should have done some scrutiny.

First off, even with any kind of wallet, they can't help you speed up your transactions or get your bitcoin back if you've already sent it. Just get your funds out asap.

I'm trying to contact their support no reply yet. The reason why I used that app is that it was suggested by one of the Alt coin websites. Anyways it was my mistake for not doing my own research.

Never trust a wallet that does not give you your private key. Freewallet is a scam or will become sooner or later because they own all the private keys of the user.

I had never heard of them. Never use wallets that are not famous. There are many wallets available and their only mission is to rob newbies.

True man. Done without any due diligence. Hope everyone sees this post and learn from my mistake.  Sad
