There is also a possibility (rather high, I am afraid) that we will see downward trend leading us to $500 again.
It all depends on how Chinese government will take care of forcing exchange to introduce harsh KYC regulations.
Tougher restrictions will be a reason investors could liquidate their long positions in the coming months.

Indeed it really matters what is gonna happen over there, I hope they will not change a lot to be honest.
Buying right now is in my eyes not a good option.

Better to wait bitcoin at the lower price, now bitcoin still have a high price so it is better to wait for prices to go down some more. But if now you want to buy is not a problem due to bitcoin prices at the end of 2017 will be higher than this, even predicted could reach $ 2,000. If I do buy if the price drops a few more, maybe in the range of $ 700 or $ 710.
There were predictions that bitcoin will reach $2000. IIRC Kim DotCom called it out as he was promoting his new Megaupload 2.0/Bitcache service.
But we can't deny that price of bitcoin is mainly shaped by China, and in our current situation of Chinese trying to curb bitcoin trading, it will be hard to stay positive about $2000 in near future.

No one can really say if it is a good time now or not. Bitcoin's price is unpredictable, the price it have right now might be the lowest we will see this 2017 but it might also be one of the high prices that we have seen in 2017 that will be another target price again for the future holders that will buy bitcoin. Just buy now if you want too but if you don't want then don't buy now.

The price has been unpredictable since the very beginning. But I have to agree that right now the market doesn't show any signs of going into a certain direction. If you buy right now, then it has to be for the mid/long term in the way that you end up selling at a minimum of $1000 per coin. If you look to make a short term investment, then it's a pure gamble. People should know and understand what risk they expose themselves to.

Lots of blood on Bitcoin Street right now, if it can help you make a decision.

Smart people buy when the streets are filled with blood, while noobs buy when the price is peaking out. I have been wondering if that would ever change, but no, these people keep making the same mistakes. But then again, smart traders need to have people buying up their expensive coins. Otherwise the market would be boring.

Since the price is still somehow not too high, is it a good time to buy BTC or should I wait a little bit more? Does any one have any Ideas?

If you have enough money in your pocket or a lot of excess you do have, go ahead buy now. But if you are still waiting for some more for low price.

Then go ahead, but I guess the price now is kinda enough to buy its just fighting between $780-$800 and soon the price will increase.

If you think that the price will ever get lower from $400-$200, that price is still far to happen.

I would not hesitate in saying that I think this downward spiral has come to an end for now. The price will go back to $800 or more soon, but things in China are still on the knife edge, because we do not know what the Chinese government will pull out of the exchange bag. If they mess with these exchanges too much the price will drop more, but if they only had a routine visit to scare them, we might see the price go up to $1000 or more.

This just shows you how much influence China has on the price. They have said lately that if China cough, the rest of the world gets the flue and this seems to be accurate when it comes to Bitcoin. A lot of the bitcoins are mined there, so it is the origin of most of our coins in circulation. I think things will go back to normal soon, and our new normal, will be a price above $900 per bitcoin. ^smile^

many people thinking that now is the good time to buy bitcoin including me but before you buy, its better you make your own analyze so after you decide to buy and if somehow the price is getting down from the price you bought, you don't need to blame someone tips because in trading, you need to make your own decision because its all your money and not other person money. so do it with wise before you make a buy.

its rarely been a good idea to wait.

i'd say get some now, and get some later when the price drop, and get more when the price drops, and get even more when the price drops even lower, and buy even more when the price drops lower still

the idea is at one point it will stop dropping and you'll have bought an amount you're comfortable with

plan a price you think bitcoin has a reasonable shot at reaching assuming it crashes really hard after lots of unexpected bad news,  so like 400 or 500?

dont assume we're going to have wave after wave of bad news and selling, and wait for that price, it'll never come... just consider it a possibility.

then buy some right now ( cuz you're bullish ) but not to much, enough so if it drops -20% your kinda sad but not stressed ...

price drops -20%? you're still bullish on bitcoin? part of you has been hoping for lower prices? you not stressed! you know what to do!  Wink

Lol.  Tell that to the guy who bought at 1000+ USD.  Cheesy  I mean come on, if you want to buy Bitcoin because you intend to hodl, then it's better to get in at a better price.  Always this should be done in stocks and commodities.  Why should you treat Bitcoin differently as an investment?

in addition to my above comment i would like to say you can do this:
let's say you want to invest $1000 and think there is a chance price goes up and there is a chance it goes down. if you think there is a bigger chance of it going up then buy $500 now.
then spread the rest in orders.
think it can go down to $750 then put an order of $200 there.
think there is a smaller chance it go to $700 put an order of $100 there.
think there is a tiny chance of it go down to $680 put an order of $100 there.
...
and so on. (change the numbers based on what you think, and have fun)

I would say you should wait. If the price can stabilize in the region of 780-800, then it's probably a good floor to buy more bitcoins. But it should move around there more than two weeks to be able to say that. It can still go lower.

You should not be afraid that it could rocket again to $900 or $1000, because in this case we're still in the same bubble than 2016. If it doesn't form a double (or triple, if considering 2013) top in the 1100-1200 area then the bubble should continue not more than two weeks after crossing the ATH, followed by a price crash - and then you will be able, very probably, to buy at a even lower price than now (I expect a bottom of $400-500).

If Bitcoin reaches $10,000 one day, then it's always the time to buy.

Oh sure like it was really that simple. Can you imagine how hard it would be for the newbies to buy at $1000 and see their "investment" go down in value? It will affect their lives. Imagine the husband who decided to invest their savings and all their earnings in Bitcoin and made a terrible mistake of buying at the high. What would the wife say?

You are a legendary in this forum please act responsible and do not give bad investment advice.

For OP's question it would be good to wait a little more because this might not be the end of the fall.

You can buy it right now but I would wait on a slightly better price, pretty sure that it will crash a bit more soon or later.

I think that buying right now is one of the only options, it most likely will not get lower so this is your chance to make some profit, just put it on a long term and you will make good bucks.

Buy now and hold it. Wait for the highest price of bitcoin this year before selling it. Some speculators says that bitcoin could reach 2500$ this year, nice to hear but to hard to believe.
