It is a sin when we lost our money and it isn't when we won huge amount of money from gambling....jk. To be honest, most people around me said that gambling is indeed a sin but unfortunately, I don't care! As long as I can enjoy it.

It is sin if you are going to lose the money which is not yours, let's say that you spent your money for the tuition in your school, of course you are doomed when this thing happen because you are going to be scolded by your parents doing such thing over studying and so on, but still, gambling is a sin, a very big sin to GOD, it is written on the Holy Bible, but if you are not a religious person, then I guess that you are just going to say that gambling is not a sin as long as you are not messing with other people lives.
The only thing I know is that we cannot judge anyone with whatever we do because they area accountable for it to God.
Gambling as per definition is a form of entertainment and by analyzing it, we can already tell we have to spend to be entertain and it's up to a certain gambler if he will seek for the money which is very hard and he will live a desperate life then that is the time he made a sin but don't blame it to gambling.

Is gambling OK? Don't bet it! There's not an easy or instantly obvious proof text answer to that question.
Of course it's okay to gamble as long as you gamble with discipline. If you can't control yourself from greediness, it should be a sin and you should stop it. Every gamblers must have a mind set which is to play what you can only afford to lose.

Depends on your view of things and your religion, Regardless of it being a sin or not (IMO depends on what money you are gambling in the first place, since using online earned money doesn't feel that wrong), Regardless, it's a very bad hobby that cost people ALLOT of money...
i think no matter what religion it is gambling would always considered as a bad thing and most of them fully agreed that it was a sin and prohibited. so if you are a religious person then stop it immediately and obey what you believe. otherwise just go ahead and ignore everything around you as long as you get what you want and didn't harm other people.

Imo it is not a sin unless you're addicted to gambling. Then it might be a sin for you, but as long as you're not addicted and you're having fun when gambling it's definitely not a sin.

It also really depends on country where you live. Gambling is not a sin in USA or most of Europe countries, but i am sure that it is sin in Middle east, as there are even laws that makes gambling forbidden.

Unless you gamble with the money you do not own, it is not a sin though it is not a good habit nor it will give others a good impression to you.

I agree regardless if it is a sin or not (depends on the religion), gambling will always give you unfavorable results especially when you get addicted to it. I always tell my friends to stop gambling because it has the potential to alter your personality when it comes to money. I have this friend that always go to casinos every month until last year, he sold his house due to the debts pilling-up. Nothing good will come out of gambling even if most of the times you win money. The strong temptation to bet until your last penny is so strong that you can even lose everything. So please, if ever you know people who gambles frequently, tell them to stop.

Dude, all religions always a rules and gamble always is a sin in all religions. It's better to not think about sin if you want keep gambling on your life. Because it's only distract you and if you really afraid about sin, stop gambling then. It's funny though, when people said it's sin if you lose and not sin when you win lol.

Its too funny to compare the bitcoin gambling with the religious view. There are many business which is similar to gambling with high risk involvement. Many people are doing it. I don't think bitcoin gambling is very hard to make earning. You need to choose betting to earn bitcoins without big risks with this option.

It is a sin, admit it. It is pretty much like lying. You know that you are not allow to lie no matter in what religion you are however you could keep on justifying yourself telling it to yourself that it is fine to lie. In the end no matter what you think, it doesnt matter because it is a sin and it will be a sin that you have committed
I think you are right, when you compare gambling with lying, because even it's a sin, we are always, justifying to ourselves and telling that is fine.
Anyways, personally i see that is a sin when you hurt someone else with gambling, for exemple stealing money for gambling or rent some money and do gambling, which you can lose the money of peoples. All these idea are too bad. But if you just gambling with your money and don't affect your financial situation for you or for you family, this is acceptable.

You dont care? Do you know what is the purpose of sin? Dont you know what happens if we sin? Dont you know what we will get if we sin a lot? When we talk about sin, it is not a playful thing, I suggest you to care about it.

It is not a sin to play gambling, if you do not lose all the money and do not get into debt. And when dependence on gambling is harmful not only to you, but to others, it's bad.

For others it is and for you it isn't. I have two thoughts for this, for those people that believes gambling is a sin, maybe they are thinking that it can lead you to bankruptcy and when you are now like that you'll think to commit crime.

It will depend on their experience with gambling, some thinks it as a drug that can destroy once life, but it will only happen without any control ,Anything that is too much and being abuse may not really result good.

It is drug to others or they are comparing it with the same way because it is causing them to be addicted. And once a gambler is addicted to it, they will have hard time to recover with it.
addiction got their own grounds mate, its already a sin if you doing it too much just like ruining your life because of keep gamble then lose
its not a sin if its done correctly and you are not become addicted better to know your limitations.

It is okay to gamble and It's not a sin. Gambling is relatively for fun and entertainment, just make sure that you can control it. Too much gambling can lead you to make a sin. I think that's the connection between gambling and sin. Since, as far I'm concern I knew people who really are addicted to gambling. That at some point they do steal for them to play at any casino or betting sites, cheat in a game for them to win and worst is to kill just to clear their debts. Be in control and don't let gambling and greed take over.

Is gambling OK? Don't bet it! There's not an easy or instantly obvious proof text answer to that question.
It depends upon the person who gambles. Just a simple situation, if you used to gamble just for fun and entertainment it is not a sin but if you are gambling in order to gain profit and the outcome was you're always losing your money that leads to you to be a broken man who do are so addicted to it that you can do bad thungs just for you to play it. It is probably a sin.
As stated it purely depends on the user involved into gambling. If he understands his situation and affordability and play accordingly then there is nothing to be a sin. When he gamble beyond limits as well gives consideration as an earning source than just for fun or entertainment makes it more addictive and this gets termed as sin.
Yeah, this problem we need to look at in different aspects to analyze. What is sin? To put it simply, if we feel our actions are shameful and hurt others, it is sinful. So if someone gambling and hurting others, gambling would be a sin but if we are gambling for fun and relaxation, gambling will not be a sin, it will be an entertaining game. And exactly as you say, gambling is a sin or not depends on the player, this issue is not related to gambling, it involves the self and the actions of each person when playing gambling
