Anyone facing issue accessing bitcointalk? I am unable to browse bitcointalk normally. It's so slow. The pages taking forever to reload. Is it just me or everyone else? My location is "Bangladesh". Can anyone check why is it so slow, or the cause of high ping. My point is, it's not as it was before.
Other sites and apps are working just fine, no network issue.
I wasn't really active during the day today but at night after 8pm local time I haven't faced any such issue today.
But yesterday I faced exactly the same problems as you, although I was not shown Error 504: Gateway time-out but was having problems accessing the Bitcoin Talk forum. But other websites are not running smoothly.
However, if you face such a problem, you can use VPN to access the bitcointalk forum.
Yeah, same as you, only bitcointalk is slow. Not just slow super slow.  However I could do other network related work just fine. Using TOR/VPN fixed it temporary.

Anyway the problem is fixed now. So, I'm locking this thread.  Smiley

I wasn't accessing the forum much today, so I can't speak to any problems that might have happened in the past 24 hours but given that this site has never given me a problem with the speed of reloading pages, it's highly doubtful it's a problem on bitcointalk's end (as others are pointing out).

What's usually always slow is the search function and random crap like adding members to your PM ignore list.  I think those are universally slow.

Either you have a network issue with the SIM network provider you are using or your browser is outdated. Try browsing a different site on that same browser and see how fast it will take to load. You can also browse an exchange to see how fast it will respond to opening and loading prices and charts. I was using the forum, and the response was effective as of now.

OP already mentioned that other sites are working fast and he facing no issue to browse other sites or using any other apps. The only problem he is facing is browsing Bitcointalk forum.

Other sites and apps are working just fine, no network issue.

Some time out DNS outdated or corrupted which makes trouble to access certain sites and proper solution is just to flash DNS. Source

If OP confirm from their other other Bangladeshi brother in the local board wheather they also facing such issue or OP is only one because Crypto is banned there so GOVERNMENT could also take some action on crypto related sites.

I didn't experience the same problem, internet speed was quite good and everything was fine. I obviously don't know what causes it, but every now and then it's true that the forum loads very slowly, but only for a moment and everything is back to normal. I experienced this yesterday when I had several tabs open at the same time, but it didn't last long.

But, what now?
I've experienced this kind of thing with a slightly slower load, but it's true that it's only a moment and not so long before it's normal again, we will never know the cause, maybe because this often happens so I often ignore it and wait a while then open the forum back to normal.

Now it is quite normal what I feel, not experiencing delays in loading on this forum faster as usual.

Maybe I will say this happened at the day time or morning because I wasn't that active online to oversee what is happening in the forum but, currently I am not experiencing any issues or even the site taking much time to load. Sometimes you need to clear your history especially that of cache memory and the rest most times it affects your browser due to much saved pages or whatever. I am not too good at this aspect but I believe those who have an idea of what I am saying can throw more light to it for you.

On my side, BTT is working great I think there must be an internet problem but If it is not according to your post It might be a cache problem try to clear it or try to change the browser or try to change the device if it still not work for you then try to use VPN and if you are using one and if you are using one already then try to run the website without it.

I hope this will solve your problem, you will get a better answer from your local mates because the problem might be in your country so your locals can make sure if there is really a speed problem at the local level or what. But at a global level there is no problem.

I was going to suggest other solutions too but many members have already suggested that so.

Use VPN and will be able to visit this forum without any problem, your browser will become fast. Be trying it again and again with you ISP network and it will later be fast. I have seen it countless number of time but not frequent though. I use VPN to solve the issue.

Looking at my profile time, it shows 14 days, 9 hours and 37 minutes, so, I haven't experienced any kind of slow reload, it might be that your secular network speed is too slow and its affecting the forum page and other page on your browsers to reload so slow.

so probably OP is having issues with the internet connection.
He said that other sites and apps are working normally and the only issue he has is with bitcointalk.

Yes, it could be the same error you are experiencing, with normal internet but still experiencing strange errors.
It needs to be traced one by one to find out the cause.

It is kind of weird and can't be able to troubleshoot what caused it since it's resolved on its own in a few minutes but as we discussed it's probably due to the local issue and for the record my internet speed was just normal and every other site works perfectly normally. Also checked the network speed which is more than enough to stream 4K video with no issue at all.

But as I said it happened once and lasted very short so didn't know the exact reason.

Thanks everyone, fixed the issue somehow. It seems like my ISP was causing some kind of problem.

If the ISP was casuing the issue, then your overall Internet would have been slow but as you mentioned it was bitcointalk in particular,
Other sites and apps are working just fine, no network issue.
So i wonder if your ISP is blocking bitcointalk or there are many people accessing this site from your ISP  Huh

Anyways, if its fixed, then its all good now, Time to lock the thread buddy  Smiley

I've been using forum without any issues all day long. And seems that other user aren't reporting about any problems that they facing. So, most likely there issue on your side. Do you access forum through VPN or TOR, these things can make load of pages slower. If not, there is something wrong with your internet connection.

I did notice a bit of a slowdown, but not when accessing, but when publishing the last couple of posts, it took about 20 or 30 seconds instead of being almost instantaneous, as usual. But looking at the other replies, I guess it must be something to do with my connection and not something generalised.
I face this thing quite often. Forum pages loads fast as it's supposed,, but when I click to publish post, it takes a while until it get published.

The system looks pretty normal to me; I have been browsing through it since morning, and nothing usual has been experienced from my end. Even when I visit threads loaded with a lot of images, it still does not take time to load them all up.

Since you are sure the issue is not from your network, it could either be the browsers that you are using or your network provider still blocking something that's making your experience such slow browsing on the forum.

You can either try accessing the forum from another gadget, another browser, or even another network provider and see if the issue will still continue; if it does, maybe it could be as a result of the server being down in some location, and you might also be affected, as shown by the image from the above member, so you can try using some VPN and change your location to see what happens next.

so your location might be the issue.
AFAIK, there is no relation to the location and slow loading of bitcointalk and if the government banned it then ISP won't even let the site to load it so probably OP is having issues with the internet connection.
OP said that the network is pretty normal, but maybe some DNS changes or depending on the internet provider used as well.
For some locations, the servers are down, but most of the servers are pretty normal and I don't have any issues except for a few hours ago which was a Host Server Error 504.

Even I experienced a weird error in the recent past link to the post and after the discussion I found I am the only one who experienced it. Probably the same can be the reason for OP's issue as well so go through the discussions there and see if OP can relate to it.

Thanks everyone, fixed the issue somehow. It seems like my ISP was causing some kind of problem.

I tried other browsers, cleared data, restarted router, rebooted my phone several times, nothing worked.

I can't normally use bitcointalk as I used to (for now). It's very slow for me. It took me more than 30 minutes just to reload a page normally and I couldn't even check the comments.

Lastly I used TOR as you guys suggested and it worked. My internet connection is already slow, using TOR/VPN makes it more slower. But I have no choice but to use it like this.

This never happened with me. I'm 100% positive bitcointalk.org isn't banned by my ISP. If it were it would have shown website is blocked but instead it's just taking forever to reload.

Cheers,
DYING_S0UL Smiley

AFAIK, there is no relation to the location and slow loading of bitcointalk
Are you sure about that? I am asking because I remember that when bitcointalk had some issues recrntly, some people had way more issues than the others so there might be some difference depending from where you are.

so probably OP is having issues with the internet connection.
