The legality of teaching children how to trade cryptocurrencies depends on the country and the specific laws and regulations in force. Many countries do not have specific laws governing cryptocurrency trading. It is important for parents to learn the laws and regulations in their country or region and exercise caution when allowing their children to trade cryptocurrencies.

I want to know if it right for children that are of 10-15years go in to trade or not because I have a kid friend of about 14years and very eager to learn trading but am scared of the lost and how long it will take him to understand what his doing, because it hasn't been very easy for me. So what your opinion please I need help? because I think is too risky for them to go in to trade for now.
I don't find any illegal things for this if you just want your children who are minor to learn to trade, the only issue here is when your kid started to create their own account for some centralized exchanges that have some policies that they only allowed 18 years old above to trade to their platform, or like they may undergo to some verification things like KYC.

Overall, as a kid, you need first to identify what are the things that love by the kid or things that they want to do, if you just force your kid to learn that things that they don't love or want, it's useless.
He constantly aspires to learn more about the market, using tools that he has developed. I must give him credit for having a successful trading strategy with well-defined road maps. Given access to demo accounts when they make mistakes, the kids are supposed to be guided before they start practicing because one never knows what the future holds for such gifted kids. You're absolutely right about the path that centralized exchange would request for KYC verification which will points out the fact that's clear that they're not upto teenager's range. Yet these kids, in their desperation, discovered a way to authenticate their trading accounts using your credentials, and before you knew it, they started trading. The cryptocurrency market is a stable one where gains can be gained with a straightforward technique or tough with mistakes.

It would not be illegal but it would be very risky for kids to trade especially that they are not mature enough to realize the risks in trading. And the fact that they still rely for money from their parents, then they can’t afford to lose from trading because that will leave them empty and would mean no allowance for their studies. However, do not deprive him to learn about trading, who knows he will be an effective trader someday. For now, let him learn first about trading and accumulate more knowledge and skills that will make him a good trader in the future.

I don't think that it is illegal.
But it is a risky and high risk, yeah it is.
Legality will depend on the rule and regulations in your country. But as a parent, if you are going to teach about crypto trading, you must be aware of the risks that will probably influence the kids. Additionally, trading is not something easy. I think that you need only introduce crypto to them, but not for trading at first. For, trading is complex and this needs awareness, high responsibilities, smart decisions, wise activity, and other complex things. So, is it wise to let your kids learn about this at a very early stage? It must be when they are really aware and ready for this.

It's not an issue, and it's a good learning point at that age on how he can save his money and spend it wisely. If ever he has some savings and he'd rather use it on trading then, what is wrong with that? It's better than just buying the premium on some console games, and who knows if he could increase his money by trading.
I say, just guide him. You should not stop a kid that is already willing to do it, maybe he is just different from others and just needed some guidance to learn more. I'd prefer that way, than gambling or spending in Robux which most kids play now. There are no returns from those platforms.

Trading will also turn into gambling if you trade without any knowledge. At the age of 15, he already knew about money, and what the boy wanted was to make money fast, not seriously learn about trading. This age should focus on learning, if you teach him about trading, he will probably neglect to learn. As OP said: he doesn't want to lose the original amount, which means he is still using his parents' money. If he loses, it's easy to steal money from his parents. There are more disadvantages than benefits to letting a 15 year old know about trading.
I think the best way we can do for this kid is to guide him instead while he’s still in the process of accumulating knowledge and skills in trading. Do not let him trade just because of the greed for profits, but teach him that trading is very risky and you could lose all your money anytime if you don’t how to be a good trader in the first place. If he’s still persistent about his decision, then don’t stop him, but guide all throughout until you see him ready to take his first trade and learn his first lesson in trading.

Basically, you already realize that it is not the right time to start trading for children at 10-15 years.
Trading is a high risk, it requires sufficient knowledge and skills. And ideally, a trader must know well about crypto market. Children at 10-15 years don't have the capability to be ideal traders, they will waste money only.

I think we can introduce trading to the children if it is necessary. But only let them know about general matters and don't let them to start trading. Remind them that they can start trading when they already have sufficient knowledge and have been mature enough.

Right. Do not discourage him from learning into trading just because it’s risky for his age, but instead guide him and let him see the real world of trading. Maybe he’s just mature enough to think that trading will give him foldable amount of returns than to waste his money on buying gadgets like most kids do these days. But make sure that he will first acquire knowledge and skills before trying to put his savings on trading. I think with your help, that kid will have a bright future someday.

It is not wrong about teaching them, not I think we can say it was illegal because we did is a sort of preparation for them for real trading when they are fully ready and when they are of legal age (18 yrs old).

Because trading is not all about learning how to trade, we are also about learning the entire concept of crypto, emotional control, time management, and financial management. This could be hard to absorb in a short time and I see in 4 years of preparations that kid will be able to learn everything he/she needs before actual trading.

Learning is fine, however I am quite sure that in order to open an account at a CEX you need to be of legal age where you reside, so trading knowledge is not of much use to someone so young, what you can do is to teach him more about the history of money and the economy in general, things like money management, inflation and the way the fiat system work could be more helpful to the kid now, and eventually you could teach him how to trade, so when he finally can open an account at an exchange not only he will know how to trade but he will have some money saved already in order to start their journey immediately.

that's the first consideration, most CEXs are requiring KYC already. so if he is underage, he can't open an account unless he will go to an exchange which is not requiring KYC like DEXs. however, being young he is, maybe if he does really want to get hands on trading - use very small amount of funds and see how it goes for him. how he reacts, the emotional impact on him and others.
usually, the problem with young gen going into trading is how they handle the stress brought about by this activity.

There’s no law that prohibit the under age to learn more about trading, so I think this is ok as long as they are willing to learn and you will provide the right knowledge about trading. When it comes to how long it will take him to understand everything, I guess it will depend on how you teach trading and how he will react on that. This is a good training ground for that underage to learn at the early stage so when the right time comes, he can trade easily because of the knowledge you have shared to him.

If you feel it ain't right then, it ain't right so, don't push yourself into teaching the kind what could ruin him in the long run. Like you said, his a kid and that has got to come with certain limitations to what they are exposed to or allowed to do.

There are reasons why certain platforms limit exposure to certain age grades. Becuase at certain age, your marked to be mentally ready and financially capable of accepting and managing certain outcomes.
Kids don't make that mark and as such, you do them the favour of protecting them from themselves. No need stripping the steps, trading isn't going anywhere, when the kid has come of age and looks ready, you would know.

I agree with most of the points @Maus0728 said. When 14 year olds are given the right information, they will learn.

Age affects children's cognitive abilities, they tend to learn even a child can become more detailed when they focus. This allows them to learn trading properly, but for the initial stages then I don't recommend that they learn with real money either. So a trading simulator is the recommended choice, then they can trade with real money when their skills increase.

How it's possible a 10-15 years old kid can create a new account on centralized exchange?
Trading simulator! What is more important is to get the concept of trading first-hand. The KYC and other legal stuff will come later on.

a kid doesn't need to learn about trading too because it's risky.
Unless otherwise they are given the correct information of what to do and what not to do in the first place. Come on! Life is big risk in itself.

In my opinion, it's not a bad idea to teach your friend kid about trading or finance in general, as long as they are given correct information on controversial topics like "money".

When I was 18 or 19, I learned the basics of trading and investing through an online game called "CASHFLOW Classic" by Robert Kiyosaki. The premise of the game is to mimic real-life scenarios of growing your wealth from scratch. You are given a dream to escape the "rat race," and you must do everything you can to grow your money passively by earning through incomes, trading stocks, investing in properties, etc. I think this is probably the best approach to teaching someone the basics of "financial education" because it's more fun and enjoyable than diving into trading right away.

Afterward, your friend kid can use a trading simulator like this basic one[2] and later progress to a more complex[3] trading simulator. You can't just teach someone all the jargon involved in trading without them seeing a visual representation of what's happening when they buy a crypto/stock at a lower price and sell it later at a higher price.

10-15 yrs old seems very early to be trading. Isn't the terms of exchanges not allowing these age brackets?

But if you have the money and you really wanted your kids to learn to trade as early as possible then why not.  But it must also depend if the kids also like to learn. For all, we know teens this age are still playing Princess Prom Night Dress up which means it going to be a total waste of money if the kids lose it all without learning something because he or she is not interested.

I don't know if it's legal or not. But, Since we are talking about learning, I don't think it's illegal. Most Centralized exchanges are requesting KYC from every user and as far as I know, they do not allow underage people. So, in Centralized Exchanges, Users won't able to start trading without verifying KYC. Even if they can trade, they won't be able to withdraw.

They may start trading on Decentralized Exchanges. But, I don't recommend kids doing trade until they learn it fully. But, we are talking about learning here. Well, learning trading is not illegal. Kids can learn to trade in demo trading mode on many platforms. You just have to find out about those platforms.

I guess his age is too young to get involved in trading risk and lost. You should allow him to become 18years,when he is matured enough to make decisions and will be able to manage any challenges that comes across his way. So that he will be very cautious and have in mind that trading is equivalent to gambling.

Teach him about the basics of bitcoin trading, the risk management and so on but don't involve him so that any lost made, you will not be blamed for it. Also let him know that he is to only trade with little money that he can avoid to loss,so that he can be at the safe side. There is time for everything.

Bitcoin makes the world go 🔃
I hope you don't teach him. I know they must be curious about making money trading. but at that age, they don't have financial strength yet. the money they get is also the result of gifts from their parents. this will be bad for him and also you and even the parents of your childhood friend.

maybe you can teach him about Bitcoin investment. It is better. Bitcoins can be purchased in small amounts, depending on the ability of the remaining money that he can save for a long time. although still not recommended until they have clear sources of finance.
While it is good for them to be knowledgeable how to invest and save at early age, they should not be pressured to do it by themselves alone. It should be done in guidance. They should know the risk of it and may trigger them to be pressured and not to enjoy their childhood or teenage days. I prefer you let the parents know and let them decide or do the investment first, like in my country parents here save the money that are gifted by their friends and families and save it then once their child reach age they understand how to invest they will use it as capital or transfer it to him.

trading is indeed for everyone regardless of one's age or level of education. but this time for children stepping on teenagers. I think providing knowledge about trading really needs to be done, but for real trading, I don't think it's time yet, considering that trading requires a stable psychology, teenagers are usually still emotionally unstable, just like you have your own worries

It will depend on your government. If it is forbidden, you don't need to teach it to your children or you can teach it secretly and forbid your children to talk about it with their friends. But instead of taking that risk, it's better not to teach it and wait for the attitude of your government.

But if crypto is on the grey side in your country, there are no restrictions on using or teaching crypto to anyone, you can teach it to your children. At first, you may need to provide knowledge about the basics of crypto and trading until they understand. And trying a demo account is also possible to help them understand how trading works.
