If you are lucky and they don't ask you your personal data to sell it to third parties or impersonate you.
That's a whole different problem that I didn't even cover. They will most probably ask you to verify your identity, explaining how they want to prevent abuse and having people sign up multiple times from different accounts. In reality, you will be selling your identity for a few dollars or perhaps less if the shitcoin you get never gets listed anywhere and never amounts to anything.

I'm looking at air drops now Roll Eyes
I wouldn't waste my time with that. What they call airdrops nowadays are bounties, where you have to complete certain tasks to get some peanuts worth of shitcoins. An airdrop used to be me posting my bitcoin address and someone gifting me some BTC or a different altcoin.

If you are lucky and they don't ask you your personal data to sell it to third parties or impersonate you.

Good airdrops are gone long ago, when only a few alternatives to Bitcoin existed, and the way to start creating a user base was by simply spreading the new coins between different wallets, with no personal data attached, and no obligations for the receiver.

Hello folks,
I am in the UK using an android smart phone (not that smart), installed the app etc, when I go onto youtube , to look and learn, it seems to me, everyone on the planet has a different wallet layout, ie, I have no Sell, no Cash out, support said Coinbase is unable to offer cash currency wallet services such as cashing out. Since you can't add a bank, you can sell your crypto for fiat currency using PayPal. If you prefer not to use PayPal, you have the option to send your crypto to another exchange. How am I supposed my money.  Huh Thanks for any advice  Wink
Now there is no problem with kyptokarisi you can do whatever you want. If you have problems with PayPal you can convert from your home currency to unique currencies at any good exchange. Like selling our cryptocurrency in our local currency we sell our cryptocurrency through p2p for good exchange. We can do it in a moment without any difficulty.  If you don't want to use PayPal, the solution is to p2p to another exchange.

I don't think I've explained my position very well. I use Coinbase Exchange. My crypto is on Binance Smart Chain. I have all the security for my wallet. My problem is Binance won't varify my account because I'm in the UK, which now has me in limbo. The UK screws up everything it touches, except taxes. If anybody can show me a way out of this I will be eternaly grateful...
You are going to have to try and explain it again Grin The whole thread so far was about your problems with Coinbase. Now, you are saying that Binance won't verify your account. Was that a typo? Whatever it is, no one here can help you get your coins off of the exchange. Only you can do that by talking with the support.

..., plus I've gone off on a bit of a tangent, I'm looking at air drops now Roll Eyes

Good luck with that and be cautious! Do NOT use your main wallet for this airdrops stuff. You don't seem experienced and very knowledgable based on your previous posts. Thus you're likely susceptible to grant some permissions to your wallet for those airdrops that you may not understand to full extend.

You won't be the first or the last to make some terrible mistakes in the context of airdrops.

When you decided to look at airdrops, make sure you only focus on official project websites and communities. Prepare basic security knowledge against online threats that used by scammers like phishing sites or malicious files spreads in project channels.

For example you must know of scammers on Discord servers.

Discord & scammers. Check user IDs and user colors of strangers send you PMs

Back again,
I deposited £5 in kraken, just to have a look around, I tried to import my wallet from coinbase wallet, to be told I need to deposit £0.02 in BNB, I purchased some BNB, where that's gone I've no idea. I bought some bitcoin in 2017, forgot all about it and suddenly came across it, and it's my good fortune that I did ££££, that is how I've been plunged into the world of crypto, I'm a pensioner and am only a two finger typist, so this is all very new, got to go now, but I'll keep you updated, I fear this is going to be a long journey  Huh
Judging from what you said above, Its obvious what you are trying to do is sell off your Bitcoin which you claimed you bought back then in 2017 into fiat currency (i.e GBP), and as such, I think Kraken just as suggested is a good exchange to use for such scenario. But however, if you are still having difficulty and confused on how to go about converting your Bitcoin into British pounds, then I would have love to suggest why not you use one of the reputable escrow services we have here on the forum for smooth transaction, because Sir Hhampuz offers such service, as you will online be charged a small amount as fee to smooth your transaction.

That is surely a fishy situation where a user nerds to transfer some amount before importing a wallet. Maybe op didn't download the real app. I was wondering if OP is aware of such schemes that scammers make to be able to steal crypto from someone else. We all know that real apps or legitimate app wallet doesn't require transferring an amount before a user can import a wallet except some wallets that requires an activation fee like I experienced in tron.
OP is having a problem communicating what exactly they are trying to do, or what exactly the problem is with what they are doing. OP said that he wanted to import his wallet from his Coinbase wallet to Kraken, which is not possible, because Kraken is an exchange and one cannot import their wallet into an exchange. I don't think OP's problem has to do with anybody trying to scam him, he seems to just be mixing things up, and the BNB he talked about might be what he needed to cover gas fees.

I fear this is going to be a long journey  Huh
It surely looks like you're definitely going to have a long walk on this. I hope you find help as quick as you can on what could be wrong. How else can someone explain the fact that an app is asking one to transfer a certain amount of coin before allowing one import one's seedphrase or so? It's likely there's something fishy going on. Perhaps, it's a criminal app you're dealing with. You've to be sure you're using the genuine Coinbase app.

Sorry, Coinbase wallet.

This is starting to become a bit difficult to follow.

You said you want to import wallet to Coinbase wallet? from where though, Kraken?

Kraken is an exchange, coinbase wallet is a non custodial wallet where you control the funds and the private keys.

You cannot import wallet from a non custodial wallet to an exchange or vice versa. What you can do is send the funds.

To send from a non custodial wallet to an exchange, you need to pay gas fees depending on the network you're using. So if you have USDT stored in Binance's smart chain, then you would need to have some BNB stored in the wallet as well.

If you're going to withdraw from Kraken to your wallet, then you won't need that. You just need to pay a withdrawal in the currency/token you're using to withdraw. So if you're withdrawing USDT, they'll deduct from that.

Some more information for OP.

Guide on finding centralized exchanges by nation, fees.

Another website is https://blockspot.io/exchange/. With this site, you can use the second column that is for Search Exchange.
Type the nation name, for example United Kingdom, and you will have a list of exchanges. Choose Show from a default value 25 to All to see all available exchanges in the UK.

A last website is https://cryptoradar.com/
How to use this one?
On top of the website, click on the Language icon, then you can choose Country and Fiat currency.
Click on tab exchange https://cryptoradar.com/exchanges
And you will be given list of exchanges in the UK.

Both Kraken and Coinbase are centralized exchanges, and in such exchanges you neither have a seed phrase nor a private key, so how are you trying to import your wallet from Coinbase to Kraken? What you are talking about is somewhat confusing to me. TBH, you need to be clearer so we can understand you and help if possible.
To me it's a lot of money, is it feasible to download the American version?
American version of what?

What you need as a newbie is to kill every tendency of being in rush to do things since cryptocurrency world could be somewhat difficult for a newbie to easily understand, but then I think coinbase is one of the most popular cryptocurrency excahges around the UK and I am not sure if their have stopped cash bank withdrawal in that region.

But even if that is the case, don't rush to choose another exchange, what I can advice you to do is that, try to get in touch with other cryptocurrency community members around your region, so that they can give you a first hand suggestions instead asking online like this, because that way you will be dealing with someone that have your remote kind of experience, who's suggestion can help you to achieve your goals easily and directly.

simply use the option of pay pal or you try checking on YouTube to see other options that are available in the UK, its very normal that in some countries, certain services may not be available just like you are experiencing, the best solution to such is usually to get a service similar to that which you are looking for in such country and then use them, i know for sure crypto isn't prohibited in the UK to there should be people or exchanges that offers crypto services there where you can send your assets to the other wallets and make the withdrawals you wish to but asides you can use the PayPal if you have got one.
