This price drop is not quite a surprise, this correction was to be expected. What goes up, must come down. That's nature's law. The price was going up like crazy and we can't expect it to go on like that. Whales are cashing out, either in Bitcoin and in altcoins. Just wait for the price to go down a little further to 8K, then start buying. No, it's far from over.

For anyone asking if the ride is done, and if the trends are finished... May I remind you that after every spike/rise-and-fall, there was the same argument... That the transactions were taking too long; that they were getting too expensive... And so many people continued to say that Bitcoin is now dead... For everyone that continued HODLing, it paid off.

There are always people that will buy when the price is high, and then lose money on their investment. These people are idiots, and the very reason why the price fluctuates the way that it does.

Every time this happens, I look forward to buying Bitcoin on sale... These shakeouts are just the industry's way of resetting itself and getting rid of all of the greedy people that are just a buck short and a day late getting into the game. Bitcoin is far from being "over", but if you have to ask whether it is or not, then you truly aren't suited for this type of industry.

No, how are you saying that bitcoin is over? Came on mate, just relax yourself, this is just the beggining of everything, dont be scared because it is slowly rising right now.
The price is already touching $13700 right now

No no I'm not scared Smiley I'm just on a look out for alt coins to buy witch I can sell after market truly recovers ... accumulate more bitcoin that way Smiley but it seems to be recovering rather fast when looking at prices vs btc and not vs usd.

I agree, the price is not going to stay that low. The people selling now is going to regret their sells.

This question is constantly asked, when bitkoyn is greatly lowered in price. In addition, they are wondering whether the end of the bitcoon came from beginners in the crypto currency. Who already has a fairly large experience, they know that after the fall of the bitcoin course, its recovery and further growth should necessarily follow. Such a big fall of bitcoins, I think, is even very useful for him, as his bubbling is removed and he becomes more realistic in price, as his last growth was unjustifiably large. To bitkoyn developed and grew in value, he needs such correction, this makes it more real and reliable.

Ok, today was a crazy crazy day Smiley Smiley I mean it was sooo exciting, could be due to fact that I'm sitting on my BTC and not selling before year 2030 or I will follow it until it's not worth 0.1$, either way works Smiley but holy crap there was some tremendous powerful force moving BTC today... We are talking about a LOTS of money....

But is it over?? It seems that alts vs btc (not usd) are back to same level as before... Market Cap: $517 135 765 025 and rising... so it's over?

Stop looking at the marketcap.

We had a drop of 80 billions in total marketcap with a total daily volume of only 40 billions.
The market cap means nothing, it's just the value of the coins if the price would stay the same which it does not.
One trader with 1 million $ can bring it down by 1 billion.

You can't say that people are cashing out or buying in just by looking at the marketcap.
I would be far more concern with massive volume rather than shiny figures, and volume is still lower than what we had on December 8-10.

It probably is over, though we could be in for a round 2 a few days down the line before a real recovery but probably this was it since we actually did drop quite hard from the top.

It's just shaking out the guys who sold their houses/phones/dog, or max'd their credit cards to buy coins. The bankers like to create debt because debt is slavery. Once they have cleaned out the junior speculators, they will be back to buying again.
