Google or any other giant can easily create its own coin, the only question is whether it has a meaning, what kind of a coin will it be? Utility token? Security token? What kind of coin will have a functional after all Google and so has a huge audience.
Perhaps they will create a token that will be used for advertising. It can be earned by viewing ads and pay them for their advertising. Everything is possible.
The last time I heard news about Google progress of research & development blockchain was more than half a year ago. No source has said they will launch a coin for them. only research on blockchain to support their current projects

Of course can Google have their own coin, there is nothing that stops them developing it. Although I really think that when Google indeed does something tied with the crypto sphere, they would probably just develop some new blockchain upgrade.

EVERYONE has the power or ability to establish their own coin, and if Google does this then I think it could be for the better or it could be for the worse, Google is a great company and have widespread themselves from a basic search engine onto a big name and everything, they basically almost hold everything now and if they do want to step into the crypto world then why not? But I have major doubts that this will happen, not now but maybe soon.

Google Makes on advertising billions of dollars per year. All bans on products harm their yield. There is no ethics here there is money. Therefore, Google will not prohibit advertising ICO.
They can raise advertising prices and earn more.
