It is a currency with a very high appreciation ratio, starting at 0.23. In your opinion, is it worth starting with this type of currency?

Hi mate. I've read what you've written and I'll be honest with you: you're going to lose your money.

If you want to invest in a currency, the current price is only the smallest detail of what you have to consider when deciding whether to buy or not. I would go on and on giving you explanations but it seems to me that I am going to waste my time. Just search the internet for 'how to invest' or something like that and refine your search.

Current price in isolation from everything else doesn't indicate anything.

Since Bitcoin price never touched below $1 in this year, so it must be a shitcoin and it's doesn't worth to buy such coin. The high appreciation ratio you mentioned above is just a fake promise by the team or you read it from a paid shills. The reason why many newbies trapped into shitcoin because of this where they believe anything what those expert say about the shitcoin.

It is a currency with a very high appreciation ratio, starting at 0.23. In your opinion, is it worth starting with this type of currency?

I think the best way to start is to buy Bitcoin.

It really doesn't matter what price it currently trades at. Bitcoin is an appreciating asset in the long term, so whatever you invest today should be worth more in the long term. That's assuming you believe in the long term appreciation of Bitcoin.

Any other altcoin is basically gambling your money away.

Also, don't be fooled by a cheap price. You can buy fractions of Bitcoin.

One Bitcoin is 100 million sats. It's the same Bitcoin, just smaller. Similar to how cents and dollars refer to the same currency, but in different quantities.
This is correct, newbies see what kind of increase in price bitcoin had through its history and they come to two conclusions, that even if bitcoin grew at an incredible pace such a pace cannot be had anymore, and since this is the case they may as well invest in altcoins as the they believe an altcoin can achieve the same kind of growth, however what they do not see are the incredible risks this decisions carries, so at least at the beginning all newbies should start their journey with bitcoin, as a way to protect themselves from those risks until they understand what they are doing.

We need more information about the project you like to buy because with the price speculations alone we cannot determine if that crypto is worth to buy or not. We don't know as well if that price is on the ATH or in the lowest in history. A good project to buy is either have a good future, backers, good fundamentals and have a real life use cases.

Op is a newbie and probably don't know what he is doing. Therefore my wide guess is that he is confused and has dropped this here not able to put things together, he may as well don't know how to trace the token he wanted to talk about.
But buying a coin because of price really is not only what to be considered before investment.

You should be at least specific on what 0.23 price or currency you do mean because if we do talk about value of crypto in each one of them then we would really be having lots.
We would really be having that problem to determine and just like what most people been saying on here which we cant give out precise answer.
You dont even tell on what crypto you do tend to buy, thats why you should clarify it out at least.

@op asks a question that doesn't have many details to enable members to respond accordingly and he hasn't come to check if his question has been answered or if there is a need to add additional information.
Assuming 0.23 is the price of this cryptocurrency op is referring to, the price is relatively fair depending on the caliber of the project, there are thousands of alts in the market but some are of better standard and quality than some.
For a project with high potential, such a price can not be considered too high with a long term goal in mind.

The fact that you do not even tell us the name of the coin is very telling, for you this is information that is irrelevant and that makes me wonder what other information do you find to be not important? The truth is that the price of a coin is the last thing you must watch, you need to at first take a very deep look on its fundamentals, and only once you are convinced that the coin in which you want to invest is any good then you can consider if the price you are seeing right now is a good entry point for you.

@OP, don't make us guess what actually has happened and what you've seen. But with little information that you've given, let's take some example out of it and some answers.

Like if it's a common crypto and it's very popular, having the quantity of 0.23 or price still relies on the budget that you have. You know what's worth for starting? Start DCAing bitcoin.

What kind of digital/crypto currency do you mean, here: coinmarketcap., there are thousands of cryptocurrencies that have a value equivalent to $0.23.

If you have any questions about crypto, investing, trading and what to buy, please don't confuse the community, as you are.

Forums are indeed used to discuss digital currencies, but at least give us an explanation of the type of crypto you mean, to make it easier for the community to understand and give suggestions, whether it's worth it or not.

While I'm not 100% sure, let me guess, you saw a certain cryptocurrency and thought it was cheap and has a high chance of going up because it's "cheap" at $0.23?

If so, you're falling for unit bias. A thing having a lower price tag doesn't automatically mean it's cheap and that it's going to reach dollar levels. Also take note of the total supply.

I think the price doesn't determine whether the crypto is worth it or not.. even a lot of coins in the market that have clear whitepapers and high prices end up being trash tokens.. the point is when investing in crypto we have to be prepared with all possible risks

The price is not enough information for deciding this. Even more, high appreciation sounds like FOMO.
It may be a trap. Even more, since Bitcoin price goes up, some altcoins (most) will also go up.

This topic may be more appropriate for Altcoins section.

Which currency are you talking about? The value or price of a token really depends on demand and supply. Whether it's worth it or not should consider many things. There are a lot of tokens on the market that have a higher price than you mentioned above. Please write more details, so we may check more details. Keep in mind, even if that token or coin is not worth it to you but is worth it to other investors that are the reason why this price reflects. People still buy or sell at that price.
