Bitcoin is still the most recommended but you can still choose other crypto coins, that's your right
I've also noticed that some altcoins have good potential, which is enough to keep up with Bitcoin's performance

examples are ethereum and binance. you notice that these two altcoins have great potential
but if you have other altcoins that you monitor can give you more profit than you invest in Bitcoin then take that risk to buy that altcoin
Of course, investing in other cryptocurrencies besides Bitcoin is worth it. Altcoins are distinguished by their great functional variety and have already brought a lot of useful things to the people on this market. Bitcoin is a versatile coin and is not capable of such useful variety. In addition, you cannot store everything in one basket, this is the basic wisdom of all markets. As long as bitcoin as a whole is growing in value, it is popular. If its growth stops, then its superpopularity will immediately disappear. All this needs to be taken into account, and not only this.
There are now quite a few promising altcoins to invest in. The choice is up to each of us.

For long-term investments, bitcoin is still a hunt for many people because apart from its good volatility, bitcoin is also believed by many people to be able to change their future in a better direction when holding and holding it now.
and if you say you can't afford to buy 1 btc actually if you really want to buy bitcoin actually you don't have to buy 1 btc if you don't have enough money, you just have to buy it in installments because I think this can also be done. but if you want to look the other way, indeed in altcoins there are some pretty good coins like eth and bnb besides polka you can also consider it.
but my advice is still in bitcoin even though it's not 1btc nor is it very profitable if you want to be really serious about investing there

do you buy because of the technology of the project and what it has to offer, the utility of the token or the news?

I prepared for this one "do you buy because of the technology of the project and what it has to offer" everytime I bought one's project, I always consider the technology and innovation they've offered, that is the must when you want to invest in every project.

In fact, buying new coins has many risks and other things to be aware of. I believe more in old coins when investing for a long time, I think. just wait for the right opportunity to buy, wait for the price to be cheap again and hold it until the price reaches an all time high price
Yes, for people who have extra capital and money that he doesn't spend on other jobs, it's definitely better to buy good coins at a low price to get future profits when the market returns to the next bullrun.
We are struggling to become people who have a lot of money.  try to imagine if yesterday you bought bitcoin or ethereum when it was down yesterday and sold it now you must have made a profit without having to wait long and the opportunity was missed

Yes, but all the cryptocurrencies you mention are those that follow the Bitcoin market very often so it is also worth choosing as a good investment choice for the long term even though Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that must be considered.
It's always worth to take bitcoin as your head investment in cryptocurrencies. If you want to expand your investments through altcoins, you don't choose any altcoin that you wishes to buy. There's still a basis why you're going to buy those altcoins.
A friendly reminder that don't fall for the hype that's being done with altcoins.

I heard about Bitcoin and ethereum around the same time. Bitcoin was I believe around $15k and ETH was below $200. I couldn't afford to buy 1btc so I didn't buy any and I didn't buy ethereum because I believed Bitcoin was the only genuine crypto currency to buy. But since my discovery of this forum I have found members who believe different. Looking back I see I have lost on both fronts and wasted an opportunity. So my question is this which is more important factor to consider before buying a coin, do you buy because of the technology of the project and what it has to offer, the utility of the token or the news?

Although Bitcoin is the best crypto out there with outstanding features which has made it a point of attraction for most big cooperations, there are still some altcoins which are worth buying.
Starting from the second best altcoin which is Ethereum, everyone who is within the crypto space can see that, Ethereum is one of a kind when it comes to smart contracts and DApp, even to the extent most upcoming blockchains can't be compared to Ethereum; therefore seeing a coin like this with such features shows that Ethereum is worth buying.
Another which I can say is worth buying is BNB, owing to the fact it is a coin of the best exchange in the crypto space which is Binance.
The truth is that, only a very few project team are actually working towards a brighter future, a lot which started well are no where now, some are even dead or the team are already out of ideas.
So to answer your question, there are very few altcoins which are worth buying while a whole lot are just scams.

In terms of features, Bitcoin isn't particularly multifaceted, but it brings to the table what other coins will never be able to bring to the table and that is organic growth. Bitcoin grew organically without much public attention. It built its user base and its supporter base over many years until it was really noticed by the broader public. That is very healthy for the distribution and for the ecosystem as a whole. Not too many financial interests were involved in the decision making process because nobody really know where this is going to go. Today if a promising project is launched it's all eyes on that project, financial interests involved, manipulation right from the start and so on and so forth.

Yes, you can still find some great project which will be at top in the future. As we all know that crypto world is increasing day by day and many new projects are being Launched in crypto market. So it is very difficult to find good one. I suggest you to take a look on Polkadot (Dot). It is doing great nowadays and ADA is also good so must check it also. DYOR before investing.

in fact, I prefer potential altcoins as mentioned over owning bitcoins.
in my short-term trading and investing. altcoins are more profitable than the bitcoins I own. this is related to the capital I use for bitcoin and altcoins.
I have a feeling of being too scared and panicky quickly to trade bitcoin. but with altcoins, I feel free and big. I enjoy everything effortlessly.
It's only limited to your feelings, because basically every Altcoin will also experience a rapid decline if Bitcoin does not stay at a good price in the market, in the case of the past, there have also been many people who are profitable in Bitcoin, it just takes time because Bitcoin class coins always take a little time to become profitable.

When you are a investor just think of it before buying other cryptocurrency on how you manage the coin you buy and the way you hold that coins or tokens, but if you see the benefits of buying other crypto other than bitcoin then grab it now.

Yes it definitely is because although I think that Bitcoin will reach $200k-$300k eventually, there will be other projects that grow from $1 to $1,000 you just have to find them. I have 50% of my holdings in Bitcoin and Ethereum because those are solid invests that will for sure grow. I then have the other 50% dispersed in projects that I think are ready for mass adoption and will grow massively in the span of 5 years. The Alt coins I am holding now are BSC, NEAR, DOT, and ADA although I’m honestly becoming skeptical of ADA. These are the alts I believe will win, I’d love to know what alts others are hodling.

Of course, I invest in any tokens precisely by paying attention to the prospect of the application and the usefulness of the technology. However, the peculiarity of investing in cryptocurrencies at this stage is that you can hit a big jackpot by investing even in the most meaningless coins. You just need to have the ability to guess correctly.))

all cryptocurrencies on the exchange are worth investing in, bitcoin, ethereum and some coins in the top 5 can be our initial reference to invest in several other cryptocurrencies.  do research before actually making a decision, prepare mentally to be a tough investor and wish you success.
Yes, the top 5 cryptocurrencies are very proven to invest in even though each year the top 5 positions are occupied by different coins apart from Bitcoin and Ethereum which are in the first and second positions, so there is no need to do too much research if the choice is finally settled on top five cryptocurrencies.

the same bitcoin is a high risk investment and went from about $ 66,000 to $ 32,000 in a few days unless one is a trading wizard and puts the right stop losses the risk of losses is very high and in any case it is never wise to invest on a single coin, it is necessary to diversify to have greater earning possibilities i say a third of the capital btc, a third eth and a third bnb, is only a personal opinion and not a suggestion

It’s always good to hedge but in my opinion always be top heavy on bitcoin. It’s cool to diversify maybe 20% of your portfolio into smaller cap & reputable alts but be careful because it’s a minefield in the alt markets.
