I would not say dead, but definitely sleeping.  Wink

I had wanted to lead the coin in a more conservative manner when I took over its development/leadership.

The community surrounding it was actually decent. Unfortunately, the JKC community fell into the same trap as so many others have here lately.

They saw the bright flash of all the balloon and burst coins as they were fast tracked onto one exchange or another. They pushed to get on an exchange, and when it happened, JKC took the path as so many newer coins did.

Without a large enough community to support trade volume, its value never rose.

Steadily the community shrank as people left to chase the new coins, that almost seem to appear daily.

I still run a pool and am still developing services for JKC. I still am developing the JKC daemon/client. I have every plan to bring it back to the main stage, but now would be a foolish time to spend the time and resources to do so. Any attempt to majorly promote JKC, would be quickly swept away in the tidal rush of new coins coming on the market these days.

For now I wait, along with a few of the community that understand what I am doing. Quietly mining an easy difficulty, tuning and improving the website, services and client/daemon.

There will come a time, when JKC can be promoted again, especially since it is relatively unscathed compared to most of the flash & burst coins of late. This trend of crash and burn alt-coins cannot last forever and JKC will be there when the trend fades.  Smiley
