This exchange is a scam.

Anyone that has done journalism or is a journalist feel free to let me know.

I gathered over 100’s of screenshots of people getting their accounts blocked due to “risk control” even though the user hasn’t done anything wrong.

See this screenshot for example:

https://i.postimg.cc/d0ZsPG9z/IMG-3384.jpg

recent stories about users getting their accounts locked up: https://brokersview.com/complaint/risk-control-after-their-0-withdrawal-fees-in-kcex-1649

https://brokersview.com/complaint/kcex-is-scam-company-1665

Also enough reviews of people on TrustPilot sharing the same story.

they promised to release the accounts on 31.10.2024 - but they extended it to 07.11.2024 which is very sus.

KCEX is one of the biggest scam exchanges around right now.

Their partners are cobo.com and Woo X - they use third party services to pay out people their withdrawals so they don’t hold any assets themselves. The reported volume on coinmarketcap is fake too.

Does anyone have experience with the KCEX exchange? The domain was registered in 2004 but the exchange has been active for 1 year.
Remembering that the KCEX Exchange does not advertise here, so there is minimal experience with the KCEX exchange, at first glance you have shown a link about KCEX that's a point for you, for additional information about whether the kcex exchange is legit or not, you should at least refer to several other sources, for example about KCEX Review 2024: Features, Benefits, and User Guide

I don't think there are many ideas that can be given to you, except ideas like those in the quote below.
Quote
However, there are some concerns, too. First, the lack of fiat support makes it difficult for people to begin trading on KCEX without already owning crypto. Additionally, there have been reports of the platform being flagged by virus-scanning sites.

Given how young the exchange is, KCEX doesn’t have many reviews. On Trustpilot, it has an average rating of 3.2 from just six reviews.

When exploring the volatile crypto world, it’s important to do your research and never invest more than you can afford to lose.

Maybe with some of the things above, you might be able to consider the next steps. The decision is all in your hands whether you want to use it or not, the point is: if you are in doubt about the KCEX exchange, don't force it and back off, be sure to continue, you have control now, we show you what we know.

I took a closer look, it's best to stay away from Kcex.com.

Upon closer inspection, it becomes evident that Kcex.com is engaging in deceptive practices and may be involved in fraudulent activities. The site employs tactics commonly associated with financial scams, such as Ponzi schemes and advance fee fraud, with the intention of unlawfully obtaining users' money or personal information.

Its first time for me hearing with KCEX exchange since know with cryptocurrency more than 5 years ago but do not know well with that exchange and how their reputation. Never found with this exchange already listing for any top coins from ICO pre sale or any coins from airdrop listing there and make me not know well with this exchange. But looks with their twitter social media account very active and have 24k follower with daily days tweet without missing any one day yet.

Checking the exchange website looks maintance and can't believing on their twitter account not have official announcement about the market problem. I think be careful when saving or trading cryptocurrency with not really popular exchange market avoid easily become scam and make us loss our assets.

Hmm, I am not sure as I cant get the language on the provided link but looking like it is a review site, similar to the trust pilot, and here is what I've seen on the trust pilot dashboard, I've never traded on that exchange as I'm not familiar with it I cant comment on their reputation but even if they are legit seems like they've overlooked their reputation score on different platforms which indicates the non-serious behavior with reputation an in-direct indication towards poor or even scam business model.

DEX > CEX > Non-credible exchanges.
However, CEXes are more convenient, in humble my opinion.

Yup, no doubt if you are willing to risk your privacy as here in undeveloped countries even these exchanges provide data without any notice to many organizations, even though most of them are under government still it's concerning.

But may I ask why you choose and want to use this exchange? Meanwhile, we have many reputable exchanges in the market and you can choose any exchange without worrying about the issues you are concerned about. Furthermore, you have enough evidence that it is unreliable, so why would you want to use them?

In my opinion, choose the top exchanges that are chosen by many people instead of choosing exchanges that are not highly rated by the community. Using centralized exchanges is already a risk for us so don't add to the hassle and risk by choosing less reputable exchanges .

Does anyone have experience with the KCEX exchange? The domain was registered in 2004 but the exchange has been active for 1 year.

I came across an article like this https://kriptohaberim.com.tr/kcex-com-scam-mi

Also, there have been many complaints about the same issues regarding the KCEX exchange. https://sikayetkripto.com/Marka/KCEX
In the article, there are many negative comments about KCEX and all the existing complaints are brought together. I think they are not giving them their rewards with the bonus programs and information. They are also closing accounts for no reason and not providing support.

It seems like a scam. Despite their recent marketing campaign promoting 0% withdrawal fees, they have now started implementing a so-called “Risk Control” on every transaction, even demanding additional KYC verification from users who have already completed it. Previously, I had withdrawn over $80,000 without any issues, but now I’m facing problems with a relatively modest three-figure withdrawal (around $1,000). This sudden change in policy raises concerns—potentially indicating internal liquidity issues at KCEX. Until they address these issues transparently, I believe their actions are highly questionable.

Damn.
Sounds like a no-brainer going to some other exchange for me.

Thanks for the insides, never used it myself (I am fine with OKX).

After I looking it on coingecko there is no exchange called Kcex so if I were you better to not touch this kind of sites and stick to regular Cex, and if there is an article called them scam stay away from it

I haven't heard about that exchange but I can really tell you that the domain names can be purchased by new holders when they get expired. There are so many domain name that expire on daily basis and one can buy those domain names at expired domain listing sites. However, I can't really confirm if that exchange is a legit one or not.

I don't have experience with the use of this exchange and as a matter of fact, am hearing about it name for the first time, but if i will advise that while making a decision on which exchange to use, its better we consider the ones that have a global recognition and reputation, though going by their online reviews could help to an extent but they are not hundred percent reliable because some could be manipulated as well.
I don't know about KCEX, never used it.

If you sort Trading volume last 24 hours, you will have KCEX at the 13rd position on Coinmarketcap. It is a high rank, with sorting in Trading volume. I notice the red x from Coinmarketcap, that represents "Reserve data unavailable". It is one thing you have to consider if you are considering KCEX for using.

If their exchange are good, they would have submitted that information to Coinmarketcap for update transparently because it is helpful for users and who want to become their users.

Thank for giving more light on this, i think OP could be able to deduce some facts about the said exchange from all these that had been said, as regard the unavailable information reserved about the exchange, this constitute one of the reasons why we may not be able to trust the use of centralized exchanges because their most information are not given completely for public opinion and view and i don't know why they keep holding on those pieces of information.

This is my first time knowing about this exchange, and there is not much I can comment on this exchange because there is little information I know about the exchange. However, when I visited the exchange site, I found that they are under maintenance, I don't know how long the maintenance has been going on but it doesn't seem good for users. And on their social media, they don't have that many followers and interactions, and their application is not that downloaded too much. I can't say whether this exchange is legit or not, but people who are dealing with this exchange should be more careful about their assets there.

Ive been in crypto for 10 years and Ive never heard of this exchange. Could it be legit? Sure but why risk it when you got tons of other exchanges which are completely legit and got tons of liquidity.

It might be due to bad marketing or some other reason why it hasn't caught on. Either way. With how many people lost funds on exchanges in the past or had their accounts frozen due to KYC issues, I wouldnt risk sending any type of money or crypto to these exchanges.

If you want to trade, use an exchange like Coinbase for fiat on ramp and off ramp and then use a DEX that you trust and you won't have to worry about losing your crypto because you are the self custody holding the keys.

This indicates that the KCEX exchange, which seems to be unfamiliar to most members, has failed to provide the Proof-of-Reserves offered by Coinamrketcap [More Info], which reduces the transparency and credibility of this exchange, as new customers will feel insecure since the total balance data for the platform’s reserves are unavailable. In addition, their official account on X does not show much engagement from the crypto community, with only 14,000 followers and most tweets receiving few comments, retweets and likes. The same applies to their other social media accounts, and there have been several complaints related to withdrawals and similar issues.

For me, although it is an old exchange platform, there are no features that would make me stick to it over other more reputable top platforms, as I aim to avoid any potential financial losses.

This exchange: https://www.kcex.com/

Yes, it is a legit exchange. But I have not used the exchange before.
I only find it on coinmarketcap.com and this exchange does not list on Coingecko.com and some third party websites on cryptocurrency exchanges. I did not use this exchange before but by lacking of information on several websites, I don't trust this exchange.

On coinmarketcap, it is ranked at 28 position now.

You can not find KCEX on these following sites.

Also not having good review on Trustpilot: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/kcex.com. But most well known exchanges review on Trustpilot is not also that good.
yes, but well known exchanges have hundreds or thousands of reviews, not 14 reviews, and more than 60% of them are scam accusations.
The negative reviews do not talk about problems, but rather fraud accusations even after completing KYC, and they are all limited to the last 3 months.

Their trading volume is quite good and they are listed in coinmarketcap as many have stated, but honestly in this day and age, why even bother with some exchange that you are not so sure while more popular and reliable exchange exists, more over you can always use DEX if you find the coin you're trading is not listed anywhere.
These are not reasons to trust the service, they are scam.

If you have doubts about the legality of this exchange, then you do not need to test it with your own money, while there are a very large number of good exchanges on the market, the functionality and reliability of which have been tested by time.

This is my first time to hear KCEX. If you want to uses an exchange, you must search from many sources and not just end to one review. We have other reputable exchanges so I wonder why you want to use that exchange. We don't knows how long the exchange finish the maintenance process but if the exchange have a solid team, hopefully, that will not be too long. But yes, that will depends on the bug.

It is better you use the other exchange that have a good reputation so there are no worry from your side. But if you want to save your investment, it is better not to use an exchange to keep your coins. If you thinks that the exchange already got many bad reviews, you don't have to use that exchange.

Be careful to select the exchanges for trading or investment. We don't know how good they will protect their site.
