In case it is mandatory to choose I will choose Kucoin to trade altcoin. Kucoin and HitBTC are both very good deals and reputations, but recently HitBTC is facing problems with payment.
Besides trading on Kucoin seems easier, the support system of Kucoin is also very good and friendly.

Absolutely right kucoin is better than hitbtc Exchange. Kucoin list solid project and coins, most secure and reliable digital asset Exchange. It is most effecient trading platform. Iam using kucoin Exchange and best solid Exchange.

It doesn't need to be talked about.
HitBtc is the worst of all kinds of exchange.
I am not even logging in their website and yet there is always an e-mail to me telling me I have logged in this place at that time.  Grin
You are not secured there. Be really careful what you are getting unto.
This is a safehaven for scammers only and those cheap ICO who want to get listed with a cheaper price. Get away from it.

HitBTC is the 2nd exchanger I'd use after Etherdelta. I have no problem that before and the volume is still good but it has a big difference by now, a lot of complaints arise. But KuCoin did great and so people would never give their best shot to HitBTC if they know its performance.
If we are looking for an exchanger to used, it is important to review their feedbacks for it will show how they care about their clients/traders.

Okay, so why did OP compare KuCoin to HitBtc when he can compare it to Binance or other exchange sites like obviously, hitbtc has a lot of given issues. Hence, they're not even.

Haven't trade on KuCoin and a trader on Hitbtc before but luckily I didn't encountered any issues despite of the allegations. In fact, I'm hesitant to use it but one of my token was only listed there so I have no choice, but yeah everything went smoothly.

Obviously, based on the experienced of users here, Kucoin is much better. Used both of them in the past, 2017 to early 2018 for HitBTC and early 2018 onwards for Kucoin. I quit HitBTC before I myself would have a headache dealing with them so it's a good move.

So I would say that I have a better experience using Kucoin, although I seldom trade, I still login to my account just to keep it active. HitBTC? I totally forget about them.

OP article is great. He gave Honest review.kucoin is far better than hitbtc. Hitbtc fee, support is worst and kucoin fee is low and support is super fast.So many people claim that hitbtc scammed them but kucoin don't have enough claim. Though i have to use both exchanger but I love to use kucoin.

I believe Kucoin is better than Hitbtc, besides that Hitbtc already has many problems like delay transaction and hacking. Kucoin more active to release event/ program to get new member and give them reward for simple task. Hitbtc already up grade their system but not helping, negative respond will Hitbtc get for this one. I decide to leave Hitbtc because tired with the same problem different solution but no result.

I have accounts with both exchanges but I only trade on HitBTC when it's the only exchange listing a particular coin I want to trade. The transaction charge on it is way too outrageous and seems manipulated. As for Kucoin, it's a more decent exchange. The ease of navigation on it makes it a darling of many. It's user friendly. Again, it's a copy of Binance exchange in outlook

If you have only these two options then I would definitely go with Kucoin because the reputation of Hitbtc is not that good and volume is also less compared to Kucoin. Its better to take out all your coins from HitBtc because they cant be stable.

What exchange would you consider the best exchange for trading altcoins? I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Looking forward to chatting!
Go for Kucoin and i can attest that i do have far more better experience with Kucoin than with Hitbtc. If we do try to elaborate out on their current and pending
issues among the two then theres no question that Hitbtc does involved on multiple issues plus they do have that ridiculous fees.So i would say that it would
be much more worth to use up Kucoin but well its your choice though yet im saying my own experiences among the two.

Obviously yes, apart from the outrageous charges on HitBTC, it's very obvious most active traders on the exchange are bots most especially as the orders (buy or sell) are mainly in small fractions just to manipulate the price of the tokens (coins) been traded. From my experience kucoin is next to Binance in the exchange ranking when it comes to trading altcoins. Both exchange are somehow similar and if you're not told you won't realize you're using two different Exchanges.

Next to their outrageous fees is their scamming operations which has resulted to many previous customers including myself to dislike the exchange and some have aired their views on the forum. Do some research and you'll find them but to give a direct answer I would advice you abstain from patronizing HitBTC. In some instances I prefer kucoin to Binance due to the problem I encounter when trading with Binance mobile.

I would steer clear of HitBTC. All sorts of red flags there. Kucoin on the other hand is solid, no complaints so far.
I'd seen this thread yesterday but was reluctant to be the first one to post in it, since I haven't used HitBTC and thus couldn't compare the two.  Interesting to hear that they're insolvent--don't know if that's true or not, but if it is then it's a pretty clear choice.

I do use Kucoin occasionally, and they're a pretty decent exchange.  They're almost as good as Binance, which I'd also recommend to anyone who wants to trade altcoins.  Kucoin has a lot of coins listed, and their fees are more than reasonable.  I've never had an issue with them that required me contacting their customer service department, and that's a rarity in the world of exchanges.

Hopefully Kucoin remains solvent and intact.  You never know if that's going to be true of any exchange, given the history of a lot of them.

Coinfirm published a report earlier this year suggesting HitBTC is insolvent. This makes sense considering all the reports of selective KYC requirements after customers request withdrawals.

HitBTC is old exchanges which is really good in the past years, but lately it has many problems i'm sure it's because the owners are frustrated with so many good exchanges rivals are born, since binance born followed by many other exchanges, good old exchanges becomes "bad guy" like yobit and poloniex. I'm sure there will be exchanges in the future.

Although the coins traded are not as much hitbtc, they are more accurate with potential coins and good trading volume. The last time I made a withdrawal on hitbtc, they required kyc, I was not comfortable with it, the hitbtc transaction fee was also higher than the others. For orders that appear to be full of trading bots still relative to both, hitbtc is only an exchange that looks outdated compared to its competitors.

HitBTC randomly imposes restrictions, as they allow users to deposit, trade, but you will face many difficulties when deciding to withdraw.
Consequently, volumes on this platform are not real, which means that buying and selling opportunities may not be perfect as they appear on the platform "faking volumes."
So I think KuCoin* will win, but is he the best platform for you? I think you will need more research.

* There are a lot of accusations that there are a lot of bots on that platform, so you should be careful.
