I removed red color hope now it's make you feel better...

Before merit being implement , they just need to active by posting once per day.
But as time goes on, everything has change and admin decide to implement merit for better future.

You can blame who are being guilty that cause merit being implement !

Personally, highlight your post with red color make it uncomfortable to read. I don't think you should use this bright color.

The only way is to write right posts not to improve your rank but to share knowledge and ask about issues. forget the rank, just try to learn and share your experience

your question is a question that has been frequently discussed in local forums because you already know that there is no other way to change your ranking position unless you make a quality post do not make a topic like this because you will not get anything

That depends on your main objectives when joining the forum.
1. If your objective is to rank up and get money, yes merits are necessary stuffs for you.
2. If your purpose to be here is to learn, to discuss, to share, to help; merits will not be your matter.

I highly recommend you to be here for the second objective. Overtime, you will be better, improve yourself day by day.

There is one of the easiest system in my opinion. Just remove all the bounties from this forum. Then members who are inflating post counts will just go away from this forums. Any forum faces spam just only because the poster thinks that he will get monetary benefit with the post.

Their are also can so many other way to improve forum and I think in the future they all implement on this forum in time to time. As much if you asking this question about merit system i can understand your feelings that why you asking it and i also accept it that merit system makes hard to achieve new rank in this forum. But I think merit system also make you to do quality and constructive post on this forum which is best things for forum.. And also I don't think so merit system makes hard for getting rank achievements because as I think your one constructive post give you a enough merit for achieve your rank. Merit system makes you to think before what you are going post and make you research and study about the forum before posting. so I think that kind of things just makes Bitcointalk more valuable and incourage a quality discussion.

Also if you read the whole criteria about merit system you can found that new member don't need to merit untill they reach Jr. rank... For Jr rank you just need activity on the forum. And I think once new member become Jr member he or she able to enough understanding about the forum. So that's way new member can also make quality post because the whole journey of getting Jr rank he or she learned a lot in this forum... so I think merit system is really very scientific and meaningful system of this forum. And some people also may think that previous members get merit automatically but i said they deserved it because they contributed so many things on this forum... So it's a equal opportunity for all..

There are many ways to be good person on this forum rather than just trying to get into signature campaigns and try to make as much post as you could. Lolz!

If you are skilled person and have anything to offer then you can do that on your own. Why this one? Because there are many profiles which I have seen recently getting green trust just because they were really helpful through their own services and they provided the quality service for long time thus earning the trust of many members.

So we should think above the certain level where forum is not just about the earning ranks or getting into various earning methods, it was never like this before. You could really offer something extensive in return with trust and thus good position amongst the others.

You can conduct trades with other members, help other members with issues and generally be a good person.

You will earn positive TRUST, which is better than a member rank.

 

I think so, merit needs to improve forum position because it serves as requirements to rank up, So we should be aware of that for us to improve more as we go along in cryto world. Also, it helps us to develop more our skills in crypto because we are aiming for profit.

Merit system presently is the only way to increase forum position. But I would advise you to not think about merit much. Go ahead and learn from the forum and make positive and quality contributions by so doing , the forum will be a better place and as well you will be merited for quality contributions.

Rank doesn't really matter that much. Unless you are aiming only to join signature campaigns or to be a manager of some, because you can do other things even if you are lower rank. I know that there are some permission that higher ranks have which lower don't, but they don't matter that much. So if you need those permission that much, only thing you can do without gathering enough Merits is what finaleshot2016 said.

My advice, if you want to do jobs around the forum, build up your trust and reputation. That way you will get Merits along the way. Its double win for you. Good luck mate.

The first thing you need to do is to read threads, and then you should stop duplicating threads with the same tired old questions. It just gets you put on ignore, and that doesn't help you to remove the merit barrier that is a requirement for promotion here.

No. Actually not. The only way to rank up with new ranking requirements is collect both merits and activity counts. Both of them take time. My recommendation for you is be contributive, creative, helpful when writing posts; don't pay attention about merits and your rank; it will automatically come at the right time.
If your purpose to join the forum is to get money, it seems to wrong approach. You should consider money rewarded for signature, avatar you wear as bonus, not as your main reason to be here.

But if you're asking about another way to improve forum position for bounties, there is no other way. You must improve yourself first if you want to receive merits, that's a better way. All high rank members here sacrifices time and make an effort to learn about crypto to achieve the desired ranks. You should also make this things happen if you want to achieve something high.
