In scrolling back at the live trade data on #bitcoin-market, I don't see any trades above the 24 hour high that shows on the site ($5.19).

So if there were any trades executed and reversed, they weren't seen by whatever method #bitcoin-market uses to get trade data. (not sure if that is using the streaming API or what.)

Any chance on an official statement from Gox?  This seems pretty important...

They won't acknowledge anything. And you thought PayPal was bad ...

There is no transparency in Gox. Manipulation and front running is rampant.

The boogie man is coming for you too.

I bet politely asking their support will garner us an answer.

Sorry guys, that was me. I tripped over a wire in my control console for the Bitcoin network and made the price fluctuate.

See, that's the problem, the price DIDN'T fluctuate...

I don't know... just making an observation based on knowledge that this has happened in the past.

Yes, I know it happened. And I quickly forgot about it for that same reson when I saw it the 1st time a few hours ago.
But it's happening constantly, it seems.

If the trade engine is making an error, they are able to reverse bad trades and delete them from the live graph, which may be what is happening.

What is considered a bad trade?
And why happening so many times?
At least 3 times in the last 3 or 4 hours. And I'm not looking there all the time, just once in a while. If I've spent 5 minutes in total looking at it and managed to see it 3 times I wonder how many times more it happened.

Couldn't they be doing it on purpose to confuse bots and make them take unintended actions, like sell or buy just to fuck up traders that use bots?

Damn, just missed the screenshot...
For 3 times today I've seen the last price passing $5.25, yet it disappears and the High remains at $5.18

EDIT: Now I managed to take a screenshot

If you go there now it's still $5.18
Too many glitches...
