yes it is possible but only the public name will be affected ,you would have to use the same name to log in.pm theymos.

I just figured why not shorten my name to Blazed...nothing really interesting about it. The 419 had nothing to do with any scams. The admins do not really change names often for people, but if you play well with others around here they will hook you up. If you want to be able to change your name anytime you wish, you have to become a VIP donator(donate 50btc).

When others refer to you with the shorten moniker, they're simply dropping the vowel.
