PayPal is not a scam, but without a doubt its policies are a pain, especially if you are a seller, since PayPal can freeze your funds and ask for verification over and over again for no reason at all.
Paypal is like a bank, they can freeze your account once you violated their policy and the policy of the state. They know if transactions are illegal or not and normally for illegal transactions that is not allow. The AMLA requires them to be strict if I were not mistaken as they have bank partners.
PayPal can freeze your fund for whatever reason that suits them and not only about things that goes against their TOS, if you have more than certain amount of money, they ask you for verification and freeze your funds, I have known cases of people they got their funds frozen because they bought a gift card.

In my opinion, it has good that PayPal has stringent rules to protect buyers. The limits they have put to other countries is punitive. Therefore, I feel they should not even allow people from other countries to use its services. Why should you allow someone from a different country to use your service when he will have problems withdrawing their money to their local banks?

PayPal is a big pain in the ass first it has country restriction

Certain countries are not within their operating range, that's right, but these countries have other alternatives for sending and receiving money. Bitcoin is one of them of course. These people will not miss out on anything just because PayPal is not operating in their country. Wink

it takes your money for every transaction

If you buy something with PayPal, or send money to a person or whomever, then it's free. The receiving party is paying the fees.

it takes a long ass time to process any payment.

It depends on what you are referring to. If you are talking about sending money from one PayPal account to another, then it comes through instantly. Perhaps that you can explain what exactly takes a long time in order to be processed.

The thing is each transaction and country does have some rules about the business made online, soo paypal usually goes inside those and applyes their justice, even if those isnt fair at all, as anyone can complaint at 90 days after purchase, this make the big problems coming into disputes. Soo you use and then you can return the seller the product.

It's 180 days and PayPal's protection is only for the buyers. The buyer can even take the product delivery and say it's not as per his standard and return it. The seller then pays the shipping fee and other fee that follow it which means that being a seller with PayPal is useless

I've seen many big online shops offering payment through PayPal, and they must somehow cope with PayPal's policies. In my view, it all comes down to the number of customers that the shop is serving. If their customer base is huge, that shouldn't be a big deal if some customers are deliberately abusing the service. In any case, I don't think that the number of wicked buyers is very large relative to the number of honest buyers.

PayPal is not a scam but not reliable too where there are so many loopholes and maximum people scam using their payment processor. Still they refuse to change their terms.

I don't think paypal scamming people. Paypal is running for a long
time already. I guess they don't handle well client's complaint thats
why you stated its scam.

of course it is a legit business but it is also a weak service which has opened up a lot of breeding ground for scammers. with a quick search on google you can find hundreds of complaints about paypal's charge back and merchants who were ripped off with it and paypal support remaining silent and not helping!

Actually, I appreciate the fact the PayPal has stringent measures to protect its users and other users from possible scams or frauds. The only thorny issue is the holding peoples funds which is a bit annoying. The most affected are those who are not US residents.

PayPal is not a scam.

However in my experience... it has been used 2x to scam me off.
The first was about an online payment on E-bay... and the second one was for a house on sale.

PayPal as it is is not a scam. However they need to have stringent measures so that it will not be used to scam people.
But in terms of sending money to someone.  It works really well.
I just had someone send me funds from Melbourne and it was transferred very smoothly.

Yes, every service has its own problem like in paypal and bitcoin, but I guess it is not good if it will be called as "scam" since people are used and still
using their services, not because you encountered problem you can accused them as scam better check their background make some research.

There are some bad experiences with paypal and yes that can't be considered and called as scam because of the charging fees that becoming crazy as a bulldog. And they are already in the industry for a lot of years and they have built the trust of many for the services that they have been providing to all of us, but maybe the end for them is near.

For every big company or business industry there will be always like a situation like this.. I believe that every company have their own ways to treat these issues with their customers. If Paypal is a scam well definitely all of us who uses it will agree with such claim.
definitely right,if you offering such a service in a big scale you will can't pleased all of your customers, minority of them will always feel unpleased and feels like treated bad so it's really usual if you see people getting screwed by a company who offering services in big scale

Sure there have been news of lost dollars without any reason to where it go with Paypal. But I dont think 100 percent of it are all correct. Some of those are just fake users who wants to bring down this big company for the sake of their own company to take place.
I do believe  this  kind of possible  instances  that  might  happen  that other people  are just trying to make false accusations just to  ruin the reputation  of   the company. I really didn't  experience  that my  money  have been stucked into  paypal  but  there are some instances  that     scam situation where paypal is  involve because  of their  cashback feature.

Ponzi sites are still used by people and is called a 'scam' at the same time. Just because people are still using it, doesn't mean that they're not a scam. Paypal is a legit company but it just have a lot of flaws in its system. For example, they freeze your account for 6 months. The payments are disputable. You'll be shocked when you lose funds and just find out that somebody from the past has disputed his payment. All those stuff made people trust bitcoin more and think that Paypal is absurd.

The possibility of a dispute is not a flaw, it is a feature, that's why I only use Paypal when online shopping and never got scammed.

What you are talking about are all anti-fraud, consumer and seller protections, they are not flaws, they are features of the system and, some, regulatory mandated.

Bitcoin and Paypal are completely different systems that operate in different niches, bitcoin is an investment, a store of value, Paypal is a safe payment system for online shopping.
