What is a currency in a real definiton then? When it is used as a form of money for a specific area then it could be considered a currency. Maybe their CEO had a point. Because probably he was not using it as money. But in any manner it still money though not a currency.
The IMF needs a meeting for the coin to be called a Currency. Bitcoin was turned down by the IMF and they are working on considering it as a Currency.

If you are thinking about investing in a Ripple project, then this is probably a good way to make a profit when it comes to a long-term investment for several years. This project occupies a completely unique place in the market, because it is not a classical crypto currency on the blockade despite decentralization. Moreover, his team actively cooperates with various banks and financial enterprises.

No Ripple is not cryptocurrency because its not decentralized. Basic rule is to fall in cryptocurrency category to be centralized. Ripple is there just to control cryptocurrencies and will be pushed hard by financial institutions.

Some people are saying Ripple has nothing do to with cryptocurrency and shouldn't be counted as one.
Ripple can be attributed to the crypto currency, but to be more precise, some of it is classified as private centralized crypto currency. I think that such a definition will be most correct. All crypto-currencies, both centralized and decentralized, have the right to exist. Only in competition can a reliable and high-tech crypto-currency system be formed.

XRP is indeed an encrypted currency.
But XRP is a centralized cryptocurrency, so I don't recommend anyone investing in this token.

Personally I believe that it is just another coin that is running on the decentralised network BUT being controlled over to make it centralised one. It I simply using the blockchain to perform its task and nothing else.

Imagine a government is making application of blockchain in its routine works, may be to run their train tracking system based on the blockchain network but we cant simply say it decentralised as it is being controlled by government itself. So off course ripple isn't crypto currency, to be crypto one it has to have all the characteristic of it.

This did not escape the system with its own centralized ripple. This certainly provides an opportunity for the ripple to grow will be increasingly difficult. reasonable only if crypto is not made due to the currency because it is owned by different systems.

To me the ripple is cryptocurrency, ripple is a mathematical-based currency called XRP which is the original currency of the ripple network. Just like bitcoin in blockchain, XRP exists natively in ripple networks as free currency from the other side.

A lot of people are questioning Ripples legitimacy as a cryptocurrency because it is centralized and is controlled by banks in the real world. I can't blame these people who thinks it is not anyways since one of the striking characteristic of a cryptocurrency is its decentralization and lack of central origin to which it can be controlled. I'll leave the decision to you guys as with these kinds of issue I am neutral.

I think Ripple is digital money and Ripple is part of cryptocurrency, the strategy applied by the Ripple team is very strange, unpredictable and sometimes makes a lot of people nervous, if Ripple is nonsense, I think if Ripple does not make sense and not a digital currency then why did the bank try to build Ripple to stay consistent on crypto?

I believe the ripple is really a cryptocurrency. Ripple is a very popular altcoin, it has a very large capitalization at the 3 rd coinmarketcap. It is widely accepted by banks and used in trading, every day the ripple has a huge trading volume. Although there are many defects as it is controlled by the company, I believe the ripple still has good potential, and in the future it will grow stronger. Now the Ripple price is quite low, I will use all the savings to buy more Ripple.

It is a distributed payment protocol, several institutions like banks have adopted its system that allowed secure and instant payments of any size and almost free, improving the process of banking transactions.

Ripple is undisputable crypto because the current ripple is crypto in the top 3 under Coinmarketcap, just behind ETH. Ripple is a very potential project when linking banks around the world and applying their technology in accelerating transaction processing speed in banks. So the Ripple could be a potential project in the future.

Ripple is the same cryptocurrency as everyone else, but it is centralized. I think ripple could fly to the moon in the future.

Ripple to me always seemed like joining the vegans club and then celebrating with a bacon sandwich. Sure if you want a centralized crypto it's a great investment.

Ripple only developing the blockchain to be offered to the governement and it should not be counted as cryptocurrency. It hasn't had any  purpose to compete with bitcoin as the cryptocurrency. Ripple just a centralized experiment to the banker. look at the majority of news in the ripple related to the bankers financial system.

Its not a full pledge crypto currency but it has a role in crypto world and it is not decentralized so for me, I think it helps also in some aspect in crypto currency.
