There is no point in asking this question though. We can only speculate because we have yet to confirm is actual ID.
My point is that we should by pass that step, and assume death. If he returns it will be cooler that way.

Now that Bitcoin is becoming a world-wide phenomenon I highly doubt he will ever return judging by how secretive and private he was when used to be active in the community. He was not a person who craved attention or admiration from others. He had a job to do. It does not surprise me that he left when Bitcoin became a self-sustaining community of enthusiasts and developers, his job was complete at that point. I like to imagine he is off somewhere else doing good in the world, like feeding ducks, at least if he's not been hit by a bus I mean.

I found some of his posts on another site, then i pieced it together with an uncanny near death experience event this year...1 BTC I will reveal to you >>satoshi<< LOL  Grin

He might be right here now on forum under another hero member account. He probably does not have access to his original wallet.dat.
He won't reveal who he is now. He'd be a marked man.
Not more marked than Assange or Snowden. Satoshi did not break any law by creating Bitcoin as I know.

I believe once we will know the full story who he is. He might prove it is Satoshi by signing message with the first address

Also, with the advent of the Silk Road, and Asians being notorious opiate feinds, he may have died of overdose or retired to a den.

Er it's not the 1850s any more...
You don't need to worry about Pacific cannibals or British snuff users either Captain Hornblower.

Probably hiding in his mountain fortress guarded by highly skilled ninjas, just waiting for the fiat-to-price ratio to reach a pre-determined level.

Why you suspect he is dead in first place? He properly planned to remain anonymous from beginning unlike DPR Ulbricht. Now he is anonymous as he planned from beginning. Remember this guy planned Bitcoin and it works 5 years down the road. Remaining anonymous is nothing compared to Bitcoin.

I just think "what happened to satoshi?" Is more interesting than "who is he?".
And it's a better reason to come back.

Who would not spend at least some coins now when you have so many?

Maybe he got hit by a bus.  People do die everyday and no I am not talking about CIA black op mission just the normal end of life that happens to everyone eventually.

Yeah, if he does die it's going to be something really common. No secret mission to end his life.
