It is still uncertain if it is a scam or not. We can check the news for further clarifications instead of going for the words of a source which is not legit or cannot guarantee on the accuracy of the news. If, still in doubt, it is better to avoid it for the time being.

I never use a tether in any exchanges because I don't know much about tether. I try to ask my friends about tether and it seems that they don't use tether too. maybe it's the same as the other coins but I don't think that tether is a scam because I see that tether is available on the big exchange and have a big volume in the transaction. but still, I really don't know about tether.

TETHER is the only option, if you need to buy cryptocurrency, so I don't think it is fraudulent. At least not now.

I think that they are too good to be catched even if their game play dirty. No way to expose them!

Still, there is no an official statement from any bank, that all tethers are backed by the real dollars. We just see how they print out another 100 millions tethers monthly. We have to be accurate with it.

No, I don't think that Tether is scam. But, yes, I also heard the news of $ 30 million being stolen. But I agree with you that it cannot be hold for long term Investments.

It was blamed from last year with many FUDs that they can print money to manipulate this market. And they said that they have USD backed in the bank. Till this time many exchanges used it as a market, so i can say that it's not.

tether is a kind of crytocurrency so I don't think we should consider it as scam, but scam can be available here so one has to be smart enough to identify it otherwise he can be a victim but just because scam is present there that doesn't mean we should consider the whole site as a scam thing.

It is a simple matter that as long as there is popularity there must be scam. In case of crypto currency people must be aware of scams by gathering proper knowledge and researching them.

Even if it turns out to be a scam people will continue to use it. It's like the early days of a pyramid scheme those that use it and get out before it bursts will profit or reap the rewards (easy currency conversion during downtrends). But if you get left holding when it inevitably crashes they'll be worthless.

I can't tell you their (Bitfinex) intentions when they first created Tether but I don't think it takes a genius to understand that things will go wrong, there is no way that the token value will remain unchanged at 1 USD. All it takes is an issue with the bank where they are storing the money and It's done.

Is it a convenient way to trade your coins instead of fiat that could take days? It definitely is, no one could deny that but If you're keeping them for long term storage? not suggested.
I guess there was no any problem with tether audit and it looks like they have the funds to backed tether coin with the dollar. Tether has been used to store for short term trading when the price was declining a lot. I remember that the lawyer of tether has been stated a lot about that.

The topic is still in the discussion of tea board. It is thought as a scam or something wrong for its activity. But the creation of bitfinex was not likely to be scam , I guess.

In order to survive in the market of crypto currency and generate a profit form the investment, the investor must be very clever. This market is unpredictable with the fluctuation in prices and scam companies trying to scam the investors of their money. Before making any investment it is wise to conduct a proper research on the company and consult in forums and blogs.

I heard that Tether had strange transaction and news about 30mln stolen and so on. However, does smb like it? Do you prefer to use it?

I saw a paper like "audit" when they confirmed $2 ths bln on the bank account of Tether, but it is still questionable. Could it be a huge scam?
