Well, I registered on the new forum and checked it out a little.  Not much there yet; however, I did realize that this forum (Bitcointalk), in my opinion, has something that can't be replaced by anything new.  That something special is: Bitcointalk has a huge chronicle of cryptographic history.  I mean, it is so interesting, to me at least, to be able to read, for example, the evolution of drk/dash and its "instamine" scandal, or words from the great Nakamoto....etc  We have something here that cannot be replaced!

I can easily use both websites. If more buyers and sellers migrate to that forum then it could be big.

I understand their dislike of censorship, but will you stick with bitcointalk - or go to the new forum?  https://forum.bitcoin.com/  Do you think they can get critical mass there?
I think there is no benefit join new forum. So i will choose to stick here.

Here is more than enough to get information, rather than to join new forum.

I know a lot bitcoin forum owner want their forum can turn like Bitcointalk.org who had a lot members and a lot valuable signature campaigns.
But they do not know that bitcointalk.org is the oldest forum in bitcoin industry.

(bitcoin industry? maybe like that.)

They really need to focus and spend a lot budget for promoting their website. Especially they need to find bitcointalk.org weakness.

They've got an uphill battle to get the users in and who's to say there won't be equally bizarro moderation policies? Sig campaigns are a major factor. Plenty of folks have gotten used to the idea of getting paid to post. That's a toughie to give up.

The thing that makje me so active those past times (for a month or two I come more than 10 times a day) is the signatures campaigns I've discovered really recently. I wouldn't come back to a forum unless I've an interest (like my transaltion services, but sadly no one seems to be interested  Sad) or signature campaigns !

They are trying. That's all you can say about them. Don't think they'll get much success.

If a really high paying signature campaign pops on the other forum a lot of people will join it and thus leave Bitcointalk.org. As for me I'm addict at BTCT  Cheesy !
That would be best. I'd love for the spammers to switch over there where there should be even less moderation and thus they will be able to spam more. If you've read the past few posts of mine, you would know that it isn't just a issue of preference.

Absolutely no.  Near about all bitcoiners are addicted to bitcointalk forum only. So, I don't think so , they will take much interest in joining new forum.

Same here. As most of the people thinks to get some benefits while doing anything on any forum.  But , then also People will prefer most popular one forum , not any other.

there is literally no guarantee about that here too ? just some extensions cant solve the privacy or anonymity issues.
Yes there is. You obviously do not understand what at tracker is. BTCT does not use these, or at least the extension can't detect any of them (in other words then chances that there are some undetected ones are very slim).

could be some private one ?
Privacy badger.

I planned on signing up there, until I saw your post. I also installed the browser extension and confirmed what you posted. Thanks for the heads up on that matter... I missed that.

I think Roger should give us a explanation on what the purpose of that would be... He is always going on about privacy and government control, but now they use trackers on the
Looks like there are 7 trackers but only 1 is actually tracking according to the extension. Other addons that block connections to other sites have also detected some stuff while on BTCT they remain at 0.

And for that forum I think for design its better from btt, because its more modern from btt which are outdated. Tongue
I dare you to say that again in 2016.
The design is not a big deal. Other things are more important such as security and privacy. As I've previously stated there are trackers on that forum (detected by extension). There are none here.

its not a problem if the forum looks black and white or has a design of 19th century.
however its in hands now ,no one can save IT from falling if he acts egoistic or power crazed person.
lets hope good ...lets hope satoshi to return. Smiley

no signature campaign there, no fun, i like to post and earn bitcoin directly, without using fiat crap money

I understand your point. But being part of the Bitcoin community and being a member of these forums ins't a job. People share their opinions, help others, and go in depth about the technical aspects of Bitcoin.
Well why not stay here and do that? And if it just going to be some XT crap which will be uncensored there, no thank you very much.

Yep, it's much better on BTT forum.

I can get a lot valuable info from this place. And we can know exactly who is "untrusted person" and considered as "trusted person".
